this subcontractor was very responsive to both the needs of the prime contractor, and myself, the owner. Prime chose Mike because of the precision of his work. No modifications to the finished block work were necessary for the new framing to start. I made several request for additional work details and Mike was able to accommodate all of the requests without hesitation.

Mike visited the job site quickly to estimate the job and supplied a verbal estimate later the same day. The job was more complex than typical because the concrete needed to be pumped from my driveway into the building; this required hiring a concrete pumping subcontractor. The placement of the concrete occurred on schedule with everyone; masons (2), helpers (2), concrete pump crew (2), and ready mix trucks (4+) showing up on time. Positive aspects: Mike was easy to deal with (tolerated a fair bit of my input), allowed me to use his laser level equipment to fine grade the stone base, and was concerned that the job site be left neat. Aspects that need improvement: Two truckloads of concrete were delivered and placed before I noticed the absence of reinforcing fibers in the mix, one casually scheduled visit was skipped, and the levelness varies more than I've seen in residential and commercial buildings. (Levelness is sufficient for intended use.)
Description of Work: Place and finish approx 4200 square foot slab on grade concrete floor in a post frame barn. Two days after the floor was finished, contraction joints approx. 10 feet across were added by saw cut. Project cost includes concrete cost.
