I would highly recommend Jim Butler and will definitely use him again. Jim scheduled my jobs quickly, showed up on time when he said he would, and his price and workmanship were excellent. He tidied up all work areas before he left and even had a small vacuum with him to clean up the saw dust and sheet-rock dust from the floors. Jim also explains things as he is working, which I appreciated. He quickly fixed a light switch that was put in by the prior homeowner. Jim explained that there are 2 ways to install switches; one is by bending the wires around a screw, and the other is less secure and involves only sticking the wires into pre-drilled holes, and the prior owner chose the quicker, less secure method of sticking the wires into the holes, which was why the switch sometimes didn't work. Jim removed the wires and bent them around the screws and the switch has worked perfectly since then. Jim only uses the more secure method when installing outlets and switches, he said, and I was very happy with his work. He also suggested he could drill a small hole in the rear of the microwave shelf to hide the wire, which he didn't have to do, and he did so and now it is much neater and the microwave cord is no longer very tight or even visible. I highly recommend Jim Butler, the owner of Butler's Home Services, and will recommend him to family and friends.

Jim arrived a few minutes earlier than the appointed time, had all the materials he needed to do the work (install two kitchen pendants and a chandelier), and did a great job keeping the work area clean and neat. I will hire him again in the spring when I anticipate additional electrical projects, and I recommend him highly.

He was here promptly. Worked & told me what was wrong however after changing two outlets the circuits were still popping. He didn't get the problem fixed right away but after two more trips here he fixed the problem. He is a great guy & seems to know what he is doing. I would have him again.

I was very pleased with my experience with Butler s Home Service. He returned my call promptly and arrived sooner than expected. It turned out that National Grid had to be involved as well and Mr Butler walked me through all the steps and facilitated the process which wasn t an easy task late on a Friday.
