Double the estimate and the job looked poor. Shingles did not match the originals in color or thickness

Once the roofing job was completed at my parent's home and they had gone on to their next job - a sheriff's vehicle pulled in looking for them to serve papers. Turns out they had received a deposit approx 1 year prior for work on another home and hadn't even started the work yet and the homeowner's wanted their deposit back. Fast forward a month and the roof is has started leaking from time to time during hard rain storms. When an extended family member (who had since started a contracting business), went onto the roof to see if he could figure out why it was leaking - he found that the roof was put on incorrectly! He did some temporary fixes to prevent future leaks, but the only real fix will be a new roof!
Description of Work: Capito's gave my parents a very competative, good bid on their new roof with 20yr shingles. I believe that $8500 was almost half of what some other bids came in at. They were almost 3 months late starting the job and the work was shoddy - definately got what they paid for.

Description of Work: Put new roof on my house.I had to tell them I was going to have him(Owner) put in jail if he didn`t start the work I paid(in full) for. Took over 2 months to get him going.
