Contractor did not show up for scheduled appointment.

I spoke with Rick, whom I believe to be the owner of the company. He stated to me that he would be stopping by in the afternoon the following day to give me an estimate. After not hearing from Rick I called his cellphone and left a message. He did not return my phone call. The next day I called his office and spoke with a secretary whom stated to me that I would be getting a call back by the end of the day. Again , no call back. I found Valerio Contracting not to be dependable, professional or responsive.

The roof repair was done on time as scheduled. The majority of the repair was fine, however when repairing the roof around the skylight in the living room, they completely dislodged the skylight which had been replaced new the previous year. They completely ruined the interior walls inside the skylight. When I called the worker to show it to him, he hadn't realized that he had broken the interior area. He apologized and stated that I shouldn't worry, the Mr. Valerio would have it repaired and it would be as good as new. When Mr. Valerio saw it, he claimed that it wasn't his fault, that it was the only way for the roof to be level around the skylight, and that he would neither repair or pay for the repairs required. I should mention that I had used Mr. Valerio many times in the past, and had referred him to our in-laws that used him for a major repair, so I did not expect to be treated so callously. Many people that I had mentioned this to said that he should have taken care of the repair, or hired someone and incur the cost. I was very disappointed to say the least. A further note: 2 years later the exact same spot that they had repaired began leaking again.

I had to call him constantly for the certificate. Whatever he had, it took him too long to finish the certificate. He came when he was supposed to. He was professional. His responsiveness wasn't good. He knew what he was talking about. He addressed what I wanted and he was going to do it. He didn't go on and on. It was good.

I paid them in installments because they did quite a bit more work than what the other company was gonna do. The job they did as very good. They were prompt, clean, and got the job done. The pricing was a little bit higher than the other company but not by much.

Rick came to my house and inspected the damage and promptly provided me the cost of repairs. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I would have given him the work being that he is from the neighborhood but his price for the work was much higher than other estimates I received.

We had our roof replaced by Valerio Contracting LLC. They were professional, showed up on time and easy to work with. Would highly recommend them.

The house roof was slightly damaged during the storm Sandy by a tree that fell on it. The only issue was that the tree removal company took a very long time to give an estimate and remove the tree. As a result the roofing company (under review) was not able to do the work or even give an estimate. While this was not a fault with the roofing company, this fact was not clearly communicated to us (or we misunderstood). Once the tree removal company finally removed the tree, the roofing company completed the work quickly and the final bill was exactly equal to the estimate.

Mr. Valerio was prompt when meeting appointments, took time to explain options/solutions, provided an estimate timely and returned calls promptly. After receiving the estimate, I went rooftop and validated the measurements (e.g., insulation portion of the roof) in the contract, which was accurate. Valerio began the job as scheduled and completed the job a day or two longer than anticipated, but I suspect that was due to the extent of plywood requiring replacement. Valerio also took pictures during the process to document the replacement work/materials that you otherwise could not see once the shingles were installed (and yes, you could determine the pictures depicted your building and not another). The team of professionals was just that -- professional. While they were initially a little surprised when a woman periodically went rooftop and walked around to review the progress, the foreman would stop and explain what they had done and what their next steps would be. They did a fair job in clean-up and only found about 2-3 dozen nails on the ground in one location. Given my positive experience with Valerio, I am considering using their services to replace windows.
