+ -1 moreI called Spin Cycle because they are one of the few repair companies in the area that repair Samsung dishwashers. Samsung had sent me to a company out of Rochester that was booking one month out. I spoke to Vic on the phone. I told him that the dishwasher wasn't draining and that the error lights confirmed a draining issue. I mentioned to him that I had opened the bottom drain to see if anything was lodged in there, found nothing, and then closed it again. I told him I was in a jam because I have little kids stuck at home when they're not at school. He refused to take the job because he said he didn't take jobs where the owner had attempted a repair, since he couldn't be sure what was done or wasn't done. I repeated that all I had done is to open the drain, look, and close it. He still refused. Apparently he didn't trust that what I said was true. He had the opportunity to help a paying customer in a tight spot, with basically nowhere else to turn, but refused. Bad business.

Description of Work: freezer in refrigerator was not working with out testing anything said it was the computer board was broke and needed to replaced. He said he could have by the next day and would cost $325 with installation in the mean time to unplug refrigerator so the freezer could thaw. He replaced the computer board the next day and refrigerator worked fine for week then same problem. Called him back and he said the problem was the defroster element and thermostat and the parts would cost $65 each plus installation but quoted no price for installation. Said to unplug the refrigerator again and he would order parts and call me back in two days. I called him on the third day and left a message to call me back and did not hear back for two days. Then said he hadn't ordered parts yet and I told him to and he said he would and would get back to me when they came in. I researched the problem on line and found out that the defroster element could be test to see if it was working by checking the resistance which I dis and it was working fine. I looked up the parts on the internet and found the thermostat for $8.95 plus shipping and out of curiosity I checked the defrosting element for $12.95 plus shipping. Then checked with a local parts store and fount the thermostat for $12.95 so I bought it so I could have it that day installed it took about 20 minutes to install. Now the refrigerator has been working fine for over a year. Spincycle never called back. As it turns out the original computer board was fine and didn't need replacing so I was out $325. I would never recommend or use them again.

+ -1 moreFirst Vic called about 20 minutes before arrival as promised. Vic was polite and considerate when he arrived. First he checked the washing machine and showed me the problem was the transmission (oil and debris were present) he indicated that it was better to replace the machine than repair it. He also made some suggestions for replacement based on my needs. He advised me that I did not need to rush right out today as it was still agitating some. Then he went to look at the stove, I explained what had happened to clog the burners (container with bacon grease leaked) and the extensive attempts I had made to clean them. Vic was able to get one working but it still needed to be lit with a flame source rather than the self light. He was able to get 3/4 of the large burner working. He explained that they might improve over time from the heat or he could order the parts and replace them (he does not charge a service call to return). He let me decide what worked best for me. I decided that I was good with the improvement and would determine down the road if I wanted the burners replaced. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism and would hire him again.
Description of Work: The service call was for a washing machine that was not agitating and for a gas stove where several of the burners were not working.
