PK's Painting

I made the mistake of under-estimating the challenge of painting our screened porch. After finding and repairing some wood rot in the columns, I attempted to tape off and paint. This is where reality of my perceived capabilities and actual skill set intersected. I reviewed Angie's List contractors and chose PK's Painting for a quote. Of the contractors we spoke with. Peter's personable approach impressed us enough to choose him. We are very happy with our choice. His price was very fair and he was able to find a slot in his schedule to help us get ready for guests we had coming. I would highly recommend PK's Painting to anyone.

Peter had previously done work on my home, so when I needed work done on another property, he was the first one I called. Although I had initially contacted him for the painting work, he was kind enough to do the other work so I could get it ready for resale quickly. As usual, his work was excellent. He went out of his way to come through for me.

He is a painting handyman company. His name is Peter. He has been back three times and we really like working with him. He hasn't finished the job with the light fixture and he said that we could pay him when he comes back. The price will be around $255. If he says he is going to call, he calls. If he says he is going to come, he comes when he says he will. He is very reasonable and very friendly. The work has been of good quality. We have been very pleased. His prices are good and he is very reliable.

Hire these guys early as they are in great demand. Peter and his three man crew work together with military precision. The two day job was completed with great skill, efficiency and professionalism.

It was complete plaster repair and painting. To get someone who could do the plaster work in a historic home can be difficult. With the degree of damage I had I got people who simply wanted to put up sheet rock and I didn't want that - I wanted restoration and he did that. I like the fact that he supervises the work himself, he was very communicative and they were meticulous in their work habits. They were clean and reliable. They did very beautiful work. I checked others and he was definitely competitive in price. I got very beautiful work, these are large rooms, it's a 6,000 square foot home with 10 foot ceiling. He did 3 rooms and I'm going to have him do 2 more. I think that when you're looking for historic restoration a lot of people want to use inferior materials and take short cuts. Peter was willing to do exactly what I needed. He was willing to work around the weather. I told him there was no rush, he put me down for a rainy day project and he scheduled it. Instead of just blowing me off and making me wait he was cooperative.

Peter has done work at several of my families homes, hired him to scrape,prime and paint the entire outside of my home. Every story you read here about Peter and his crew is 100% correct... On site before 8am every morning(even on weekends). Does a amazing, clean, professional job, never had to clean up after him, no paint drips all over my property. Price is very fair and much less then other contractors i have looked at. Its simple-if i am not going to paint it Peter is because he does the job the way i would do it.

Very professional........competitive pricing. PK's delivered high quality work with attention to detail. Their focus on housekeeping was excellent and performed work without even knowing that they were there.

This was the second time we've had PK's do interior work for us. In addition to being terrific, detail-oriented painters, they are always on-time, respectful, nice guys. Highly recommend them!!!

I chose them because they were recommended on Angie?s List and the job went very well. They provided a good service, they were not intrusive or disruptive at all, they were fast, and they were courteous. It worked out pretty well. It wasn't the cheapest service.

We hired PK painting to do a variety of jobs for us as we prepared our home for sale. Peter (the owner) was great to work with and extremely professional. He promptly returned phone calls, and was honest in his communication and timelines. The quality of work was top notch, and it clearly mattered to him that we were satisfied with everything that was being done. If you ever hired (or attempted to hire) other painters, handymen or contractors, then you will see a big difference in Peter's approach. We have had a number of providers not call us back, show up late, or not show up at all after we've taken time off work to meet them at home. The only thing I didn't rate an A was for price, mainly because you always want to pay less. But his price was totally FAIR, and you get what you pay for. We would love to keep Peter a secret, but Angie's list is where we found him.

Peter and his team did an excellent overall job and even restored some window trim that I thought was a goner. Peter and his crew were prompt, courteous and worked had to complete my painting on schedule and as requested. Nice, honest people to work with.

I was very pleased with PK's Painting. There work was excellent. They were pleasant to be around. I have more painting that needs to be done in the future and I will be calling them back.

After reviewing Painting Contractors on Angie's List, I chose two companies to request estimates for the work I required. Both were quickly responsive and set up appointments to review my space. Peter, from PK's Painting, arrived promptly. He very professionally went through my home with me, pointing out where he would repair flaws in the walls and fix some poor quality areas from a previous painting company. He explained in detail what he would do, how he would do it, which paint he would use and how long it would take. He followed that up with a simple estimate of cost via E-mail. Once I made my choice to use his services, he provided a color wheel from Sherwin Williams for me to select colors and finishes and I subsequently advised him of my choices. Three different colors, some dividing a single room. We then set an appointment for he and his 2-man crew to come and do the work. When they arrived, Peter introduced me to the men in his crew and then they went straight to work while I showed Peter which walls were to have which color. He showed up exactly when he said he would and finished the job in 2 days...just like he said. He and the crew moved all the furniture out of the way and back to its original location at the end of each day. They were extremely neat and, even after a month of inspection, I can not find a single drop of paint anywhere that it should not be! The quality of their work is beyond compare, excellent in every regard! Edging work (even against mirrors) was perfect, coverage was exceptional and not a single "roller" mark anywhere! I would gladly do a commercial for this company and I highly recommend them for any painting needs one might have! I plan to do more painting in the spring of 2011 and I will definitely call Peter! I only hope he won't be too busy to do more work for me, once the word gets out of how good he is. The experience he and his crew have shows in the end-product I received. I couldn't be happier! I called PK painters and Peter came by that afternoon. I showed him what I needed and he called the next day with a very fair quote and I accepted. He gave me an estimated time for the job which was within 3 weeks. He and the crew did an awesome job and especially attention to detail regarding the side of the fence that gets the most wind and snow. I was so impressed that I asked him to do work for me inside the house. I made a very wise choice!

When I called they came out for an estimate. I called to say I would accept and tthey said that the job could be completed in approximately a month. They called within that time frame and we set up a date. They were there on time and did a very professional job. The exterior front door had a mark on it which they tried to fix but since the paint was not set yet, it was impossible. They came back and repainted the exterior door to my complete satisfaction.

Peter arrived promptly every day at 8:00 if not a minute or two sooner;his crew was also there within a few minutes of Peter arriving. Peter would go over the work that had been done and what remained to be completed so there were never any surprises. Work was completed on time as per agreed time line. He was extremely thorough and detailed oriented. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. He assisted me in getting the proper measurements on a pair of exterior shutters so that they would have maximum curb appeal. Because the shutters arrived 2 weeks after Peter and crew completed work on my home, he actually came over on a Sunday morning to put them up, no complaints or hesitation on his part. Having lived in this home for only 6 years, it was in dire need of preventive maintenance due to prior owners' negligence. I learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. With PK's Painting you won't be disappointed.

The PK's crew was very prompt, clean and did a terrific job. They have obtained 3 other jobs after friends, etc. seen the work they performed for me. I definitely will have them do more work in the future.

I requested an estimate via e-mail using Angie's List site. Peter promptly came to estimate the job and called the next day with prices. We had a schedule issue so we asked him to be completed by 9/3. We revised slightly the scope of the work. He responded with a revised price and agreeing to the schedule. He came by to get paint samples for the exterior work and leave the color cards for the interior work. The Friday before the starting Monday he called to confirm. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. His truck was very professional. Work progressed smoothly. His crew was very professional. They removed their shoes before entering the house. Peter stayed with the crew virtually all of the time. They worked outside until about noon then moved inside because of the heat. The crew cleaned up each evening although one piece was left out one time. The job was completed on time and the price was exactly what was agreed upon allowing for one mis-understanding. Peter explained the assumptions and time risks in the estimate very clearly and then kept us posted on where we were as the job progressed. The interior and exterior results were excellent. The window sill replacement was done well.

Peter kept in touch before the paint job was scheduled to begin. I appreciated knowing what was going on and when he and his crew would be available to begin. After they began the painting, each day they began early in the am and came everyday until it was done. When done, they made sure that I was happy with the paint job and offered to return if everthing isn't to my satisfaction. I researched for this company on Angie's List. We have a very nice older home that we wanted to update to a more contemporary design. We decided that redoing our living room walls was a big part of the look we wanted to achieve. At the same time we didn't want to go from nice but old to anything less as we are somewhat particular about our home but decided to tackle this job anyhow but with some concern. I found Peter on Angie's List under Plastering and was impressed with the reviews that others were posting. I'm glad that I did. He did a wonderful job and took pride in the outcome. He does what he says he is going to do and does it on time and efficiently while at the same time instills the pride of workmanship that seems hard to find these days. I would have Peter back in my house for almost any job that he thinks he is willing to take on be it painting, plastering or whatever. Call him for your work, you won't be disappointed.

Then he was able to work us into the schedule between other jobs to get it done within a very short time frame. The work was excellent and has really transformed the appearance of the house. Peter and his workers paid attention to details like caulking, etc. and it really shows! Plus, he is very personable and great to work with.
