PK's Painting

After a major water leak from our air-conditioning unit in the attic, I contacted Peter from PK's Painting to see if he would do not only the painting but the repair to ceiling. He responded immediately and came out for the estimate. We agreed on a date for the work to start . Our job start date was August 19th, and the estimated duration would be 2-3 days. Not only did Peter and his crew show up on time that day, but after running into an unforeseen issue (NOT their fault) they finished in 2 days! Can't say enough how great he and the two guys were to work with, but they were very respectful of our home and the clean-up was completely thorough. The work is top-notch and so are the people! We are having PK's Painting do more work for us soon.

Peter, the owner of the business, set appointment and showed up as scheduled. Gave a very professional quote. Very pleasant and helpful to deal with. Paint crew and owner all showed up to do the work as scheduled. Everyone in the crew was very professional. Got the job done; cleaned up after themselves very well. No problems whatsoever. A pleasure to do business with. Everything looks so much better with the painting. Glad we had them do the work. Will definitely recommend them and use them again for future jobs.

It went well and took about a week. We had to move more furniture than we thought we would have to do. They did 2 coats of Ben. Moore paint on the ceiling, walls, and woodwork.

We couldn't be happier! Peter arrived on time for the scheduled appointment for the estimate. Everything was explained in detail about what needed to be done. Our house is 85 years old and the walls needed lots of repair! He gave me a time frame when the work would be done but called with an opening in his schedule, so it was done earlier then expected. He and his crew arrived on time, ready to work. They were fast, efficient, clean and very professional. They took care of moving the furniture and covering it. Best of all, the rooms look great! I highly recommend him, he'll be painting at our house again!

This was the first time that we used a professional painter because the scope of the job was a little too big for us to handle. I was leery of hiring someone because my husband used to do all the painting and is a perfectionist. We were pleasantly surprised! Peter and his crew are true professionals. They were personable, always arrived when they said they would and were respectful of our property. We had the feeling that they were doing the job as if they were working on their own homes. Most importantly, they did a great job from the initial prep work, to the painting, the attention to detail and the cleanup. Throughout the process, Peter always responded promptly to phone calls and emails. I would highly recommend PK Painting.

It went very well. Pete and his crew were punctual, professional and just very nice people. They were respectful of my husband, myself and our home. They not only did a great job, but I was very pleased with how they cleaned up the site. A few days after the work was completed, I sent an email inquiry, asking about the exact names of the paints used. I very much appreciated how quickly Pete got back to me especially because the job was done and paid up.

He's an Angie's List award winner. He is professional. They have three different guys who come with him so the work can get done very quickly. It was a big room and he was able to come off. He told me it will take a single person a week. He took his guys a day and a half. He was very great. This is what they knew and they were good at it. It was fine. Their price was expensive but they're worth the price.

They did an amazing job! So good that one of my neighbors that keeps his property looking so good, came over to find out who they were so he could use them. They used all plastic tarps to keep my landscaping and house free of any stain. I was so impressed at how immaculate they did the work and again what a great job. I now have people stopping me and telling me how great my deck looks Plan on having my living room, staircase and master bedroom done this fall. Will certain use them for my painting needs in the future.

Peter is probably the most courteous and responsive contractor I have every worked with. This guy knows customer service. He went above and beyond when a tip he gave me didn't pan out. He actually had his guys help me out with a related job! This was well beyond my expectations. I would recommend PK's Painting without reservation.

They did an amazing job. They fixed multiple areas of water damage walls and ceilings and even some settling cracks and painted some very tough areas including cathedral ceiling, bay window/door area and more. Their cut lines are flawless and the efforts they made to straighten out some challenging corners that had water damage was amazing. We had a drywall person in two times to try to repair the water damage but Peter and his crew were the ones that made it look perfect. Peter and Kevin are very very professional. They squeezed us in during a very busy time and worked day and night. Peter even offered to come back to paint our shoe molding after our flooring gets replaced. Great attention to detail. Far above and beyond expectations! We are so pleased. It's like we have a **brand new house!**

Peter was very co-operative about setting a date for the painting job. We settled on April when we could open windows and doors.The crew taped off doorways,covered ceiling fan and lights. We had removed all furniture. Peter warned us that it would be a messy job. They tried to keep the dust to a minimum area...When I peeked, it resembled a dust storm. The job took one and a half days,which was exactly the estimate given. The crew did a great job. The ceilings look terrific, better than new! There was some dust that escaped their cleanup but they got most of it. I would definitely recommend Peter Baier and P K's Painting. We are so happy with our Great Room and foyer hallway.The price was worth the amount of work that had to be done and it makes our 25 year old house look newer and richer.

This is the second time I have used them. They previously painted the interior of our house. They do very nice work. Peter and his crew were very professional from the estimate, through to scheduling and the work itself. The price was fair and they did a great job. I would happily recommend them to others.

I phoned him for further info, and to hire him, but we never heard from him again. I have no idea why, except perhaps he didn't want to travel further than his home area. note: our home is approx. 2 miles South of town line of Hamburg,and his home base is N. Tonawanda. | If indeed distance was the reason, we wish he would have declined the work immediately, rather than hold up our project while waiting for a response. Other than that, I'm confident he would have done a fine job as he came highly recommended. His communication skills need work.

I would like to give them all "A's" across the board. They were fantastic. They did it like in a day and a half, as a matter of fact they were going to charge me like $1300 and I think they charged me $1100 when it was all done, which they did not have to. I am very happy with them. They did an incredible job.

Pete answered the phone when I called. He seemed very nice and sincere. He was suppose to call me on 11/22/2013 to set up a time to come to do an estimate. He said he would call because I had a conflict in my schedule, but I did say he could come anyway on the Friday,11/22. He said he would call and schedule something with me. He never called to schedule this estimate. I was very disappointed because Pete seemed very sincere and very nice. However, this kind of business relationship does not bode well with me. It seems that these businesses expect to be in control instead of them working for the customer the customer seems to be working for them even though the customer is paying them. This is not a good way to establish a business relationship. If they are too busy, they should indicate that instead of promising something they cannot fulfill.

Everything went very smoothly. Peter and his crew were very punctual and professional throughout the entire job. Every employee of Peter's that I encountered was extremely professional, friendly, and courteous. i had absolutely no reservations allowing them to be in our home when we were not present. We did experience a few unforeseen complications following wallpaper removal, all of which were handled in an efficient and professional manner. Peter was extremely responsive to our phone calls and updated us daily on how the work was progressing, as well as updating the actual cost versus the estimate. I found that Peter was extremely honest and had a good eye for detail. I would definitely use PK again in the future and have even recommended them to my friends and colleagues.

He called right on-time and came when he said he would. He was very reliable, considerate and helpful.

First came and gave us an estimate. We accepted and two weeks later they had an opening and called. Short notice so we had trouble preparing furniture for them. No problem no complaints. They had plenty of workers and moved things themselves. Started right away. Tried to minimize home disruption. Work progressed very rapidly by our estimates. They never stopped working and offered lots of good advice. We changed a few things along the way and they had no problem doing additional work. Every evening they left at the same time and cleaned up before leaving. They covered all our possessions and were careful with our property. Very professional in every way. We would definitely use them again in the future. One minor note; a piece of equipment malfunctioned and hit our TV and damaged the screen. Accident all the way. Peter took care of the TV and paid for everything.

We had a 4' X 6' section of water damaged ceiling in a bedroom. The ceiling was discolored and sagging. The leak, where the roof met the chimney structure, had been ongoing for several years; it took the roofing company several attempts before they finally fixed it. Once the roof leak was repaired and stayed dry for 5 or 6 months, it was time to repair the ceiling. PK's Painting was one of the company's we found in our search on Angie's list. PK's was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. PK's initial response to my email query came back overnight. Several days later Peter (the owner) showed up at the appointed time to do a walk through and give me an estimate. My wife and I thought the estimate was fair (especially with the Angie's list discount) for the work we wanted done. His explanation of how they would approach the project was very detailed. He estimated it would take parts of three 3 days, given the multiple steps and drying time required between the steps. Once we accepted the estimate, Peter worked with us to coordinate a start date. He had several other jobs lined up before us, but that was okay since we had commitments that would have conflicted if we started any sooner. Peter promised to check back and let us know if anything changed in their schedule. Two days before our slated start date, Peter let us know they had a job that was taking longer than expected and asked if it would be okay if they started a day or two later. That was okay with us. On the appointed new date, Peter and Kevin arrived right on schedule. They quickly got to work covering furniture and carpeting with plastic sheeting or drop cloths. Then they cut out the old, damaged drywall. In the process, they discovered one of the ceiling joists in the damaged area had sagged slightly. So they propped it up and tied it in to the rafter above it for support. This minimized any potential visible bulge in the ceiling. Next, they installed a new piece of drywall, taping and "mudding" all the seams and screws. The next day they were back, sanding and skim-coating the seams. On the third day they did their finish sanding of the seams, then masked everything off and sprayed the popcorn texture on the ceiling, tying it neatly into the existing popcorn. While they had the popcorn treatment in the sprayer, they also went down to our living room and masked and repaired a small section of the ceiling along the chimney, directly below the area they fixed upstairs. Evidently, water had make it's way down the chimney structure in the past causing some peeling of the popcorn texture. With that done, they went to work on the wall in the bedroom that butted up against the repaired ceiling. That got a complete coat of paint from top to bottom, corner top corner. Each day, they were meticulous about cleaning up, wiping down any dust accumulation, gathering any trash items and vacuuming. They even carried their trash bags out to the garage for trash pickup. All in all, we are very pleased. We would highly recommend PK's Painting! The quality of the work is outstanding. The team of Peter and Kevin are true pros. We were so impressed that the last day we asked them to give us an estimate on a separate painting project we have been putting off. Looks like they will handle that for us, too.
