PK's Painting

There was a bathroom ceiling & wall repair job that Peter did for me. He had to cut out a couple of feet of ceiling and top of the wall above the showerhead; install new bracing; install new drywall & tape, shmear and sand the joint compound [4 times!]; and then perfectly matched the paint and painted the walls and ceiling to match what was already there; and you honestly could not tell that there had been any work done. And he left the work area spotless each day that he was there. I would recommend him to anybody!

We are very happy with the work of Peter and his teammate, TJ. The work was meticulous and performed on schedule so we knew just what to expect. We had the ceiling & walls of our main living space (family room & kitchen) painted plus extensive repair from nail pops and water damage from last winter's ice damming. It looks flawless.

The workers were prompt and worked efficiently. The workers went above & behind what painters would normally do. There was great attention paid to details. My household furniture was handled with care and protected. After the job was completed, the room was cleaned of dust & everything was put back in place.

Great job painting my new home! Peter also painted my previous home so I knew he would turn this home into a beauty. Every room was completed with precision and care. There was A LOT of trim work to complete. But Peter and TJ took their time and you can tell. Even after I had my rugs installed they came back to the house and repainted the trim where the carpet installers damaged the wood. You really can't find a better team. Anything I asked, including hanging towels bars, they handled. They are trustworthy, very clean, and a pleasure to work with. I am calling them back in the spring to do outside work.

Peter and TJ work together as a team to provide the best painting job you could imagine. TJ is a master at patching. Our sunroom needed major patching around all the windows due to mold and mildew. You cannot even tell there was any water damage when they were through with the job! The walls are smooth. All the trim work around the windows was completed with fine detail. The room looks beautiful! Peter is punctual, very clean and a pleasure to work with.

Peter did an exceptional job in determining what approach should be taken to complete the work based on our objectives. He and his employee were both very skilled in repairing our drywall and painting; the results look GREAT In addition, they left the job in immaculate condition each day. Peter's pricing was very fair. We highly recommend PK's Painting!!

I had PK's Painting paint my 2nd floor the prior year and they did a great job, that is why I had them come back and paint my kitchen. Expecting the same level of service, we were very disappointed the second time around. Couple of things, we had just had counter tops installed, new sink/faucet and lighting. I had holes in my ceiling where we had changed out the lighting fixture and asked him to patch prior to painting, I also had an outlet for a phone jack I told him we do not have a home phone, I would like that patched over and painted. He told me, "I only have a few patch kits, I don't have enough to do all of this." My thought was, you should come prepared to a job and if you do not have enough patch kits, Home Depot is less than a mile away, GO GET SOME MORE. So, they patched the holes in the ceiling with the kits they had and I have an ugly painted over phone jack on my kitchen wall...LOVELY...goes great with my new granite counter tops! The next item up was our microwave, I was told, I cannot paint the wall space between the microwave and the cabinet, I do not have a brush long enough. Again, you come to a job unprepared, not my problem, go to Home Depot and buy a brush with a longer handle and complete the job. Result, I have dark brown walls and patches of yellow next to my microwave above my stove....look great...takes away from the painted over phone jack...Next Up...back splash, I did not have my back splashes installed yet, they were coming to install later that week, so I told them they did not have to be so careful with the edges....but they didn't even SAND DOWN the wall where my old back splash was....so now I have a lip of paint as my old back splash was 4" my new is 3" and my chipping paint is the 1" between. And the icing on the cake....I do not have utility tubs in my house, so his guys put their paint buckets in my brand new stainless steel sink to wash there equipment scratched the crap out of my NEW sink! I paid $675.00 to have my kitchen painted. You may ask why did it take me almost a year to write this scathing review, well I'm not the kind of person that writes crappy things about a business. I'm sure this guy is just trying to make his living. I think what he needs to remember is that I am a paying customer and customers, paying customers is what makes his business. As he was leaving he told me he was down a guy, so sorry for the rush job. So after a year of looking at this crappy paint job, watching the paint peeling off the wall and looking at the scratches in my sink I decided to write this review!

Peter came to give us an estimate within days of calling him - the first good sign. It took a few weeks to get us into the schedule, which was no problem, except in the meanwhile we had some damage to our living room wall - not included in the initial estimate. When Peter and his crew arrived for their first day at our house, I showed him what happened in the living room and he was kind enough to fix it for us. He painted tons of trim in our downstairs, and even tried to fix one of the door knobs. I couldn't be happier with the results and know how painstaking the work must have been - not that he ever complained about it. He painted 3 bedrooms for us as well, which should have been straightforward enough, but the previous homeowners children had painted the bedrooms themselves and stuck posters and glow-in-the-dark stars all over the walls leaving a mess behind. Peter fixed all of this as well and the rooms look fantastic. One note is that I didn't rate the price because we didn't get any other quotes for the work. I called NUMEROUS other painters, none of which called me back and a painter we had used previously I would never use again. That said, it certainly seemed fair for the number of days he spent and the quality of the finished product. Peter is a real professional and does great work, we'll definitely use him again.

This is the 3rd time in the past 12 months that I have used PK?s Painting. I was so impressed with the previous paint jobs that we decided to have the remainder of the interior of the house painted. I consider Pete Baier and his crew to be Master Painters. Their workmanship is second to none. I have never seen cut in lines drawn so clean. They arrive on time every day, are meticulous when they work and sincerely care about their craft. They clean up and leave their work area immaculate before they leave every day. Pete is a pleasure to work with and is a great communicator starting with the initial quote through the completion of the job. He encourages you to review the work every day and point out anything you don?t like (although it almost never happens) and he corrects it immediately. We made several additions to the original work order that Pete was able to graciously fit in even though it extended the job by three days requiring him to juggle his schedule and also work on Saturday. Pete is at the job every day working side by side with his crew. The members of his crew are very polite and very skilled at what they do. They are very respectful of your furnishings and take care to move/cover everything before they paint. After working with Pete you can see why he has won Angie?s List Super Service Award the past six years running. Over 30 years of home ownership Pete provides the best customer experience I have ever encountered when working with a contractor. I highly, highly recommend that you use PK?s Painting for all of you interior and exterior paint jobs. I certainly will!

Before Pete and his crew started painting they had to patch our walls and ceilings. There was a substantial amount of drywall repair work needed to be completed. Pete and his crew are masters at making your walls and ceilings baby bottom smooth. I am still amazed at how they are able to turn a pocked marked wall (due to picture nail holes) into a thing of beauty before they paint. This is very important as we used satins and semi-gloss paints and the tiniest imperfections will show if your walls/ceiling are not smooth. They spent two full days prepping our walls and ceilings before they painted. It was time well spent as I couldn't be happier with their job. Pete is a pleasure to work with and is a great communicator starting with the initial quote through the completion of the job. They did an excellent job in one morning without taping the doors. baseboards, or window frames. Our kitchen is fairly large and odd shaped which was not a problem for Peter and his crew.

Everything went well and our living room was like it was brand new. We were very pleased

Peter and his team were great! They got a large amount of work done in a very reasonable amount of time. Our house is nearly 200 years old with a lot of historical character. Peter and his team were very respectful of the age and made sure to paint and patch with great care. We were very impressed with their skill and professionalism. We would hire them again without doubt.

Peter was referred to me by a close friend. My wife and I had 3 estimates to paint our entire interior of our home. They were out of our price range

This was the second time I had PK"S Painting do work for me. The first time the job was more extensive and they did a beautiful job. Peter saw things in my walls and ceilings that I would have never have caught. I was very pleased with the professional job. However, I then had a contractor do some work for me and they totally did a number on my beautiful paint job. I called Peter and he came over right away and looked at what needed to be fixed and/or repainted. He went above and beyond to make thing look right again. He was able to fit me into his schedule very quickly and now my townhouse is a showplace. Peter Is a wonderful person to work with, very professional, knows his craft, and did both jobs in a very quick timeframe. He also took care of my furniture and belongings which was very much appreciated. I would have him and his team to another job for me in a split second!!

My kitchen ceiling looks like brand new as if there was never a hole there before. All of my ceilings have been patched and painted and my foyer, kitchen and sun room look fantastic! Peter was very professional and kept in contact with me if there were any questions about the work that was to be done. I added another room and he was very accommodating. His pricing was very fair and I would recommend him to anyone. He was finished with all of the work in 2 days. I will definitely have him back to do any painting or drywall repair I need done in the future.

My apologizes for the long delay in writing this review. The quality of the work was outstanding and Peter kept us informed of every step of the process along the way. Peter and his crew were friendly and helpful. Terrific attention to detail. Highly recommend PKs Painting.

Peter and his crew are the real deal.....dont look around just stop here and call Peter....great work,great price, clean fast and careful....second time i have used them and wont be my last....had peter paint my house outside a few years ago and still looks like the day he did it....painted 6 rooms inside this time and looks AMAZING

this is the 3rd or 4th time i have had pk's do painting at my home. as usual the work is impeccable. besides the actual painting, pk's always does repair work as they paint if it is needed and goes above what is expected. what is most important to me, as a working person, is that pk's is very dependable and they always answer their calls or call back in a timely manner. i have recommended them to friends and will continue to call them whenever i need anything done at my home.

They did a great job and I would definitely recommend them highly. They stuck to their estimate even though they had to do more work which was really great. They sent 3 painters out to do the job and they got the job done in about a day and a half. The cleanup was perfect and it was cleaner than when they started.

It was excellent. We did some remodeling and they came in and painted as the rooms were finished. We are going to use them again. They sent as much as 5 painters out to do the job at any time. They worked hard and did a good job. The cleanup was perfect.

Everything was the best it could be. He was responsive, professional, friendly, neat, timely and reasonable. What more could anyone want? I would use him again for sure.

everything went very well. the team was professional, focused on their work, meticulous, and very detail oriented. Peter was the highest estimate, but we decided to go with his team because he was clear about his pricing policy and was clear about the methodology they were going to use to fix the issues and why. he had a plan where others just shrugged their shoulders and said that I should expect bumpy walls in an old house like this.

It went great. Very professional and friendly. Hard workers. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Pete Baier is the owner of the business. He and his crew are extremely professional, courteous and communicative. It was a pleasure to work with him/them from the initial quote through the completion of the project. The workmanship is second to none. We especially appreciated the care he took in exactly matching the colors that we wanted in each one of the rooms. They are very neat, respectful of your property and clean up every night before they leave. We liked his work so much that he is coming back in September to paint outside doors and shutters and are going to schedule him to finish painting inside the rest of the house early in 2015.
