+ -1 moreI should have had the first clue that he was incompetent when he couldn't really tell us why the company had 2 different names, JCS Builders, and Can-Am. Although his website hides the mess he has made of out home, he has ruined our house to the point where we cannot get a Certificate of Occupancy. I threw him out after 6months, which by the way he told me the project would only take 3 months! He did the most shotty work imaginable, he extended our garage for our classic car, he did not meet federal, or state codes, and he didn't follow the architectural drawings either. Our garage had no water problems at all and it was over 50 yrs old, now it literally floods. The walls are twisting, the cement was poured by him, because he was to greedy to have it done by a professional! He ripped us off by not purchasing quality windows, doors, wood, siding, etc. He said in the beginning that he had a 5 man crew, it was him and 1 other guy, when May came he went on vacation with our money, and the next week his dad came to town, and he had the nerve to say he would need the week off because he was sick! He was at best a handyman. He wasn't qualified to build a doll house. He's shady, greedy, and we did find out he has liens due to that fact he owes back taxes! He took our money, never came close to finishing and left us to a legal journey that a state senator is involved in. Run as far away from him as you can, he was a good actor, and we fell for it. One more important thing, he was a slob. They left cigarette butts all over, fast food garbage all over, and left everyday that they did work without cleaning anything. They started at 9:30am, but usually at 10-11am, and always left at 4 or sooner. He said travel time was part of the work day! Are you kidding me??

+ -1 moreWe were very satisfied because the detail of the work was fantastic. They put posts all the way through to the ground before covering them with the plastic railings. Everything was very stable and the finished product looked amazing. They also had the best price. I was very happy and I would recommend them to other people.
Description of Work: They put new plastic railings on our front porch. The material was a plastic vinyl composite. They also replaced about 30 square feet of the porch. The wood was starting to rot, so they replaced it with pressure treated wood.
