We apologize we could not meet your expectations, however; we take each experience seriously. After researching this job, the following was noted on the account. The call came in as an emergency call as the customer only had 1/2 power and lost their water as they were on a well. Our tech on call responded immediately and was on site within 1 hour. After diagnosing the issue, it was determined that the main electric service was severely antiquated and in need of replacing. Our tech informed the customer that a complete new service could cost a couple thousand dollars and offered to "temp" the service just to get the water going and since was on emergency rates in order to save her money. He indicated even what was required to temp in would be roughly $500. She was all for the temp as she indicated did not have the money and desperately needed her water. Incidentally, all of our jobs require signed work orders PRIOR to any work being started. It shows the rates and COD payment terms. The customer approved and signed our work order. The work was temped in and water was working. The customer paid by check which was less than the $500 stated. After our office deposited, it was returned for "closed account". Our office learned that the account had been closed for some time. So the customer intentionally provided a check from a known closed account. Our office left several messages to no prevail of response. Finally when our office left a more serious message on her answering machine, that the authorities would be contacted for intentionally writing a bad check, she responded and paid by credit card. Never mentioned anything about any issue or having us back out to permanently fix. It is no surprise to learn the temp fix didn't hold up as it was temp fix as she was told and approved and noted on the work order.
