One Step Tree & Lawncare Inc

After another lawn treatment firm managed to gradually kill our lawn we found One Step to replace them. One Step slowly brought our Lawn back. Not perfect yet but so much better. One Step also worked with us. First lawn care firm that we have consistently recommended. BUT as of today we are so sad. They have sold out to the firm that damaged our lawn several years back. We have already paid for the season. So we are stuck to finish this season, I wish One Step would have been up front that they were selling out. Unprofessional. So sad.

They do the fertilizer and stuff like that. They've done that probably for the last 6 or 8 years. I think it's like $77 a trip and I have 3 quarters acres of lawn. I used to do that myself but I don't know you get to the point where s*** they can buy the stuff cheaper than you can and if you look at the total cost it isn't that much more.

I just feel comfortable with the way the lawn has looked over the years. There was a group of neighbors here that we kinda went together and evaluated different ones we and chose this one as the supplier of choice let's say. You see them doing my lawn and then 2 days later you'll see them doing somebody else's lawn. I don't know why they don't get smart and do it all at one time but hey they're running the business. Sometimes if you went to them and recommended that they may not say it but they may think hey tend to your own business.

They do what they said they were going to do. Everything works good. I don’t have any grubs and the grass looks great. They let me know when they are going to be here and they show up the next day so their responsiveness is excellent. They come in and know on the door and talk to me and that’s nice.

I have use One Step Tree & Lawncare Inc for a number of years now. I have decided to use them this year. What keeps me using them their is price, quality, professionalism and punctuality. All those things together is what keeps you going together with somebody.

We have their lawn care which provides 6 annual visits from spring to fall. So far so good, as we lost our lawn in 2012 due to drought and another lawn care service. One step has been instrumental in helping our lawn return. Slow but sure. Their cost for year is based on square footage and reasonable in our opinion.

2014 was my first year with One Step. Before that I would do it myself. I had creeping charlie throughout my front and side lawn which no matter what I tried over the years I couldn't completely get rid of it. I thought it was gone but then it would come back the next year. That's why I decided to go to the professionals. After hearing sales pitches from other companies I decided to go with the North Chili company - One Step Tree and Lawncare. Last year (2014), through their persistence, One Step was able to get rid of the creeping Charlie as well as the crabgrass, clover and dandelions. Being very pleased with this company and my tech (Zak) I did not hesitate to sign up with them again for 2015. For those that don't know, here is how it works: you call their office and they'll give you an estimate over the phone. This is because they have software that can bring up your property and see how much lawn you have. Once you sign up they come out (always letting you know in advance) and apply liquid or granular product to your lawn. They will leave a plastic bag at your front door which includes your invoice along with a description of what they did that day as well as what they suggest. (Cut at 3", keep kids/pets off lawn for 24 hours, water if it doesn't rain within a few days etc.) They also place lawn markers on all corners of your property so that you and your neighbors know that something was done on that day. "If" you don't like what is going on with your lawn (let's say the weeds don't seem to be going away) then you give them a call and they'll come out and take care of the problem. This company also provides other lawn/shrub/tree services - but - they are not pushy. (Ex. When I inquired about grub control I was told "your lawn is fine, you don't need to do a grub control.) Bottom line: they show up, take care of business and are gone. Very professional techs AND if you call or visit the office they are more than happy to make certain that your concerns are remedied.

My yard looks fantastic. They're very good about letting me know when it's going to happen. They do it within that time frame all the time, unless it's raining, because then they wouldn't put it down. The workers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I'm pretty sure I could get it done cheaper, but that's not what I'm really going for. I stopped using another lawn service even though it was cheaper, because they weren't providing the service. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

They were just pretty standard service nothing great and nothing bad. The quality of service is pretty good.

I submitted an inquiry to the One Step website on a Sunday evening and was pleasantly surprised to receive a follow up phone call from them the next morning. I told them that I would like to meet with someone to go over my lawn and some of the problem areas that I have after working with another lawn fertilization company over the past few years. They listened to my concerns and provided me with a plan to rectify the issues and a quote for my yearly service. So far they have applied 2 treatments so it is still early to tell how my lawn will ultimately turn out because it will be a long term process to get the problem areas under control, but I have been very pleased with their level of professionalism and their responsiveness.

I've been using them for several years. They just come and do what they're supposed to do however many times a year and leave a little present for me in my side door so that's how I know they've been here. They do what they say that they're going to do, they do a good job, they do a couple of my neighbors at the same time so we all get zapped at the same day which is sort of a good thing and it seems to to be helping my lawn most importantly so I've used them now, I think, for at least three years and possibly four. My lawn looks much better than it used to so I think they must be doing something right and they're not the most expensive people in town so I appreciate that as well. They're always here when they say they were gonna be here. I have never been dissatisfied with them.

They're local so you get the same technicians each time. They're timely and responsive and come when they say they will. If I have any issues or problems, they're always attentive and good about correcting them. Their price is a little more than I was paying, but I am happy to pay the difference for the service I'm getting.

They are excellent. Great follow through.....and follow up phone calls to check your satisfaction level. I mentioned in the follow-up call that I still had a few weeds around my side yard. They came the following day and treated the area free of charge. My yard looked fantastic this summer!

They do a great job of maintaining the lawn. They are very prompt and will make good recommendations of what needs to be done to keep our yard in good shape. They are a full service lawn care provider.

They were very responsive and helpful. The sales man was very professional. We decided to perform this work ourselves because the price was a little on the high end. In the future, we would strongly consider using them for any other similar work.

We have a contract with them and they do a good job. We had a problem with the grass last year due to some trees and they fixed it for no charge. They reseeded the area and the grass came up very well.

They are good and professional. They call me ahead of time before they come. If I have a problem, even one dandelion, they will come back and take care of it. Their price is probably just as competitive as the other places.

They call before they come out and they follow up with their bill in the mail. They're very reliable and do really good work, and they use products that are not toxic to my animals. I've recommended them to several neighbors. They're really good at diagnosing tree and lawn problems.

I have used them 3 or 4 times a year for the last 15 years. They straiten up my trees and fertilize the lawn. They are excellent, they're here when they're supposed to be and they do what they're supposed to do. We will continue to use One Step Lawncare.

I would recommend their services to others. I would use them again in the future.

I used this company last summer to do the fertilization on my lawn. For one thing, the phone calls they continually make are very annoying. Also, they renew you every year without notification other than a letter. So this spring they came out to my house and fertilized when I had already hired another company! I called them to tell them and they blamed me that I didn't read the letter stating that it is a renewable contract and they come every year unless I tell them otherwise. In my neighborhood, I receive like 30 flyers every spring for fertilization. I can not read every letter coming to me from a fertilization company. Plus, the one phone call they did make to tell me they were coming out, was made during spring break when we weren't home! Since they didn't hear from me, they came out and fertilized! I found other providers that were cheaper, made less phone calls and don't argue with me about renewable contracts! I signed up with them instead!

They do good work and are very responsible. They make sure to notify you of when they will be coming out and are very good about explaining everything they are doing.
