Recently under new ownership and management we have a renewed focus on quality customer service. The Kinetic Team of employees (not sub-contractors) includes designers, estimators, construction managers, master carpenters, & support staff. We are a full service remodeling company completing mid to high end additions, kitchens, and baths. We have an 8000 square foot showroom and carry Woodmode, Koch, & Marsh cabinetry along with an extensive selection of tile, stone, granite, & plumbing products.
With over 30 years experience and several thousand projects under our belt, we are continually striving to be the premier kitchen, bath, & design company in the area. How do we continually win new customers and achieve better results, better relationships? It’s simple….we understand that we’re not just working with wood and concrete. We know we’re working with people first and foremost.
Multiple payment plans and financing options are available. We often run promotions featuring our cabinets, countertop, tile & much more.
When we chose Kinetic Kitchen to remodel our two bathrooms, we selected them for two reasons: Excellent quality workmanship in a reasonable time frame. Unfortunately, they did not meet either of those expectations. (It’s ironic, because the Kinetic Kitchen designer told my husband and I that contracting with them is like a car dealership, which I interpreted as paying top dollar knowing the work is going to be excellent in the least disruptive way. Instead it feels like we went to the used car lot to buy a broken down Ford Escort for the cost of a Lexus.) This is what went wrong with our remodel: - The project was estimated to take 4-5 weeks. It took over 19 weeks. (Yep, over four months). - The grout was two different colors. They took out the grout and replaced it, and it was still two different colors. Third time, they used a coloring agent to make it all the same color. They blamed the manufacturer, but in my simple Google searches the first rule is to start with enough grout to do the job, which they didn’t do. So hopefully this coloring agent they used will not fade in the next few years. - They have no idea how to put in a heated floor. They had no plan. They ordered cable for 70 square feet when they needed 30. When the 70 feet didn’t fit, they doubled up the cable sporadically around the floor. The floor had extreme cold and hot spots. So after the whole bathroom was done, they had to take everything out, rip the floor up, and replace it all. One would have thought this time they would create a proper plan that would work. Nope! Their plan was just plain wrong. My husband ended up contacting the manufacturer for guidance and created the plan to map the cable. Kinetic Kitchen did not even know the spacing between the pillars and they proposed laying the heated wires under our vanity (which is against the manufacturer’s recommendations). Again, they truly had no idea how to install this. - There were lots of little things, which goes to my next point, they did not care about the details of the project. The lights were touching the wood of the mirror, the threshold was a big block of wood and not tapered to be even with the floor, the doors were not sanded enough, and the towel bars were not properly anchored. To their credit, when we pointed these things out, they fixed them to our satisfaction. But sometimes, it was not an easy conversation to convey what was wrong and to get them to agree to fix it. Why not just pay attention to the details the first time and do a good job? They just wanted to be done with the job. - When we requested to speak to the owner Vic about the problems, he refused to speak to us. (This is the same man who came to our house to determine feasibility of our remodel, who then proceeded to talk to us for 30+ minutes about his daughter going to a Canadian college cheaper than colleges in the US. Suddenly, he didn’t have time to deal with us?) - FINALLY, I SAVE THE WORST FOR LAST. One of the Kinetic Kitchen employees flipped out and started screaming at my husband and I. Apparently he was upset about having to fix the floor and felt the best way to deal with it was to yell at the customer. Yep, with our children in the house, he yelled at us to “LOOK HIM IN THE EYE…” and he had to “EAT CROW…” by being here. His boss was standing right next to him as he yelled at us. After that, he continued to work in our house (can you say awkward?) and apologized three days later. We were at their mercy at that point and just wanted them to finish and leave. My words of advice if you are considering Kinetic Kitchen, JUST DON’T. We are normal people, not overly demanding. We paid SO much money and just wanted the job done and done well. In the end they fixed everything, but the whole point of using Kinetic Kitchen was to have the project done right and within a reasonable time frame, at which they completely failed. If that doesn’t convince you, the very unprofessional behavior of their employee yelling at the customer is a huge red flag.

They were awful. They kept raising the price after I gave a deposit and the materials were ordered. they abandoned the job without electrical switch plate covers because I would not pay the last 500.00. I am sick to this day about it. The grout on the tile work is crumbling now and I have to figure out how to fix it myself. The original quote was 18 thousand that quickly became 25 thousand. They strong- armed me the entire way. the company changed hands mid way and the stupid guy had me sign some new orders for parts but he maneuvered slipping in a new price in the fine print and demanded his money. I contacted the BBB and opened a claim. They lied. I was stuck. Buyer beware.
Description of Work: destroyed my bathroom. reconfigured the layout to make the pipes rattle and shake. the bathroom fixtures are now rusting and the measurements they made were off which made them jimmy the cabinets to fit. the tile work looks like a 5 year old did it. the only thing I like about it is the custom window I paid double for due to their mistake.

There was a fairly large problem, as the measurements they took were either incorrect OR were ignored when they had our materials manufactured. The size of the fitting along the long wall of the bathtub was too short, and so there was a problem. When they ordered the manufacture of our piece, the manufacturer either didn't tell them that they didn't make it in that size, or the measurements were incorrect, or the discrepancy was ignored. They wound up solving the problem by adding corner pieces with shelves, which made up the difference, and at no extra charge. Other than that, the salepeople were professional, the installer was punctual and helpful, but he initial mistake was difficult to overlook. In the end, the finished product was more than acceptable.

Came out to our house twice, met with contact designer at the showroom to draw up details of a contract and decide on products to be used. The designer and owner were to meet with us at our house to go over the contracted work (second meeting). Approximately an hour before that meeting we received a call from a different designer stating that she and the owner would be meeting with us because the first designer was no longer with the company. At the second meeting the new designer and owner told us that the work contract would need to be re-drafted because of items in the initial work plan the owner did not agree with. We were told that they would "get right on" drafting a new work plan and re-work the figures we initially agreed to. The designer also emphatically told us we would have the newly created figures and work plan in our possession within 48 hours. That never happened, in fact we didn't hear from anyone at Kinetic Kitchen & Bath until I finally left a voice message with them 6 days after our last meeting. We were dismayed first off that no one attempted to call us to explain why we didn't get the new work plan and estimate in the time frame promised, and when we were finally able to contact them, we were informed the cost of the project was approximately $2000.00 higher than the original contract despite less labor cost associated with the revised work plan. No apologies were offered for lack of contact or in fact, anything. Not keeping a client updated and offering no viable explanation for lack of contact is not in the best interest of customer service.

Someone came out to review project. Did an entire gut ( to the studs renovation) of my master bath. Heated tile floors, moved all the plumbing, double sink vanity with granite countertop, custom tile shower with granite accents and built in linen closet. Apparently this company did not need this job as they never responded with an estimate. A called twice andleft messages on their voicemail but never received a return call. Their loss as I'm doing the main bath soon with a total kitchen to follow.

We apologize for the service Mrs. [member name removed] had with our company. We have searched our database and files and have no record of Mrs. [member name removed]'s project. We had changes in our staff throughout the past year, which may explain why we cannot locate any information that indicates she had a representative from our company come to her home last year. We are truly sorry that we were not able to provide the service our company strives to maintain. We welcome everyone's business whether it be a large or small scale renovation. The current design team at Kinetic Kitchen & Bath is working very hard towards providing the best service to our clients.

I was very impressed. Everything went very well. There were no additional charges to the Big Deal. My daughter met with them. It was actually for my daughter’s bathroom. Megan and I went out and met at their office and they showed us the floor plan. Their price was a little high though. We would probably not use them again in the future because they were a little high priced.

We spoke with [member name removed] and apologized for the experience he had with our company. We reviewed the file and did find there was an error with the estimating program. It was explained that the designer may have realized the error in pricing after [member name removed]spoke with her and that is why he received a phone call with a lowered price later. It appears that the program doubled the pricing on some of the options such as wood selection, finish, and construction. The designer that provided this estimate is not currently working for our company so we are only able to pull the information we have in the file to explain the error. Throughout the past year, Kinetic Kitchen and Bath has undergone changes with our staff and we continually work towards providing the best service to our clients. The current design team at Kinetic Kitchen & Bath works very hard to provide accurate and competitive pricing to all of our clients. [hyperlink removed]

Overall, I recommend Kinetic Kitchens and Bath for their quality products, quality workmanship and professionalism.
Description of Work: Our upstairs bathroom was leaking and had caused damage and mold in our kitchen ceiling. Kinetic totally gutted and rebuilt our upstairs bathroom -- new wide and deep tub with surround, toilet, sink/vanity, floor, ceiling, molding, and all fixtures. They took down the cupboards and soffit and repaired the kitchen ceiling and remediated the mold. They also put in whole new bathroom (sink/vanity, toilet, fixtures) and replaced the ceiling and floor in our downstairs half bath. We were initially impressed by Jill who came over (she actually came early after calling and confirming it was OK) and measured literally everything, made sketches and took photos. We went to the showroom about 10 days later and chose the materials. Jill worked up the prices based on our selections. We admittedly had sticker shock, but we realize this is the price you pay for being able to go pick stuff out and have it totally put in. (We are way past the "I'll do that part myself" stage.) Also, it was the price you pay to simply leave it in their capable hands, compared to the other estimate we got, where a sloppy guy came over, took two measurements, and told us "go buy whatever you want from Home Depot or Lowe's or wherever you like, and we'll install it." Seriously? What do I know about buying a toilet or a tub? Anyhow, Dave was our "crew" and did most of the work. (He did have help at times when he needed it.) He was prompt, neat, friendly, put down and took back up the cover sheets every day, and did a WONDERFUL job. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. One other thing, other contractors and people in stores told me, "You can no longer buy shower/tub faucets where you control the flow AND the temperature. They all have a governor in them to prevent you from getting scalded, and therefore you can only turn them to change the temperature, not the flow." That's baloney. I asked Jill about it and she went to the Moen website and found a fixture that you pull out more or less to control the flow of water, and turn to control the temperature, just what we wanted. Granted it cost twice as much but it's worth it, to be able to wash and shampoo in a trickle and then have a flood to rinse with.

The installation crew worked incredibly hard at completing the install in one day. There turned out to be some discrepancies in dimensions which could have been easily avoided by one person interfacing between original sale and installation. We gutted the bathroom and did the prep work before Kinetic came in. Despite multiple phone calls back and forth, the dimensions for the enclosure were slightly off, adding additional time to the work crew's install. A 5 minute visit a couple of days before to verify would have prevented another 3 hours of crew work. One year after installation, we developed a mold problem in the grout. We called Kinetic, they ordered our correct color grout and came to the house immediately. Fortunately it was just a surface problem. They stripped all the old grout out, reapplied the correct color and diagnosed the issue. Apparently, it was a problem of prevention. While I clean the shower every time I use it, I had ever been given a list telling me bleach was ok to use s long as rinsed right away. We had had a houseful of company for about a month; they'd shower, leave the fan off, close the shower door and bathroom door after using. Easy fix!
Description of Work: We completely gutted our bathroom taking out an old mismatched and poorly placed sink, toilet, tub and shower door. Kinetic rebuilt a walk-in shower, with grab bar, seat and doors, as well as a new, high-rise toilet. All the work was completed in one day.

Every person that we worked with was amazing and it was a wonderful experience. For every appointment they were punctual and very professional. For our estimate Mike helped us to select colors and the style that would best fit our bathroom. He was a huge help! Our installation was scheduled for a month later and we were impressed by the quality of the finished installation. We love our new bathroom and are very happy that we chose Bath Planet to complete the job. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel their bathroom.
Description of Work: We hired Bath Planet to install a new bathtub overlay and surround. They replaced all of the shower fixtures and installed a new toilet.
