It went well. They picked it up and delivered it. I had no problems. They did what you expected, what they advertise. They're cheaper. They did the specials they advertise. Their timeliness was a little off because it's the busy season. They did what they told you. They're very responsive. They're professional; very cool.
Description of Work: It's Drake Lawn & Garden. They did spring maintenance. They sharpened the blades, cleaned the deck, air pressure of the tires.

I dropped my Stihl, Weed Trimmer off for repair. I was told it would take a week. I received a call in a week and was told that the trimmer was done. I waited an additional week to pick it up because I was waiting for my lawn mower as well. When they called to let us know when the Mower was going to be done we said fine we will pick up both the trimmer and the mower together. They told us the trimmer was not yet ready. When I explained that I had received a call from the previous week letting me know it was, the rep on the phone became confused and could not verify any information. He told me he wasn't sure and could not find it but would have someone in the back look for it when they got a chance. 2 weeks had now gone by and it's still not fixed. No one there seems to know what's going on or have a handle on service tickets. They're quick to throw a cheap and dirty "Sorry" at you but offer no quick solutions to figure things out. We finally got a call that everything was ready. My wife went to pick up the trimmer. They said it was all set. I took it from our van and tried to start it. I pulled and pulled but nothing. Then I noticed fuel coming out and saw that they never put the spark plug connection back on and more over the spark plug was loose and almost ready to fall out. I tightened everything up and tried it again. By now it was flooded. I waited an hour and it still would not start. My wife ran it back and asked them to take a look at it as they said it was supposed to be ready. They said no. It was probably flooded and everyone was too busy to look at it now. She returned home only to get a call 5 minutes later saying it was ready. We asked, what was wrong? They said you had a fowled spark plug. I said how could you have fixed it with a bad plug. Their answer "I don't know". I suggested that someone may have looked at it and thrown it back on the self and never checked it. He said "no, it had run with the bad plug". I said how could that be, once again he didn't know. It was obvious to me that at this point I was getting nowhere. They either didn't know what they were doing or messed up and didn't want to admit it. Once again a flip and disingenuous sorry was thrown out there but it means nothing in resolving the issue and getting to the bottom of the situation; not to mention the aggravation, time and gas of running back and forth because they are so messed up. I Sorry's are cheap. Let them put their money where their mouth is and show me they mean it. The list mentions a new Carburetor, Gaskets and Fuel, which I question because I can't trust them and I sent it full of fuel when they got it. I would not recommend these guys.
Description of Work: Work on my Weed Trimmer.

I attempted to use the unit after the first snowfall and it would not handle 4 inches of snow and I had to shovel by hand. I was unwilling to pay for the dealer to pick up and deliver the unit again so they could perform a warranty service call, so I found the problem and fixed it myself. The clutch cable was never adjusted properly when the unit was assembled. My expectations were that the unit would be properly assembled and tested before delivery.
Description of Work: I purchased a new snowblower from Drake Lawn and garden. I asked for a new in the box unit but they convinced me to pay for delivery as they want to assemble and test the units to make sure they are operating properly. It was delivered promptly at the scheduled time.
