Description of Work: The job was to improve a gravel driveway. The work was done promptly, and as requested. Small annoyances: 1) the contractor did not show up when expected for an initial evaluation, but arrived unannounced a few days later. 2) we requested a written estimate ahead of time, which we did not receive. 3) After we had paid the invoice (for the expected amount) we received a phone call saying that we had not; a phone call resolved the issue quickly.

Description of Work: They re-layed the pavers on our front walk, removed old railroad ties, spring clean up,weed and feed entire lawn, hand weeded decorative gardens, weed wracked all areas, etc. They did a great job, highly recommended.

+ 1 moreSo far, so good. I think the work they did has worked, for the most part. We may have to have more drainage work done, but given how rainy it is and how much water there is to deal with, they've done a great job.
Description of Work: They did excavation around our house. They did a great job. They still have to come by to finish some work, but that's because the soil has to settle. The guys are personable, professional and kind. They are also punctual and accurate about their work.

+ -1 moreI found them to be responsive, thorough and polite. I would hire them again (though my husband and I now usually have the time to do the mowing and shoveling ourselves). I'm totally guessing on the date of our last contact. It's been quite a while.
Description of Work: Back in the late 1990's, they mowed our hilly lawn over the course of a couple of summers. They could do in 20 minutes what it would take us hours to accomplish with our own mower and they did a nice job. We don't have a fancy property but they still trimmed up edges and around trees to make it look nice. They also plowed our 200' driveway during one or two winters. We were out of town during a particularly heavy blizzard that left about 3 feet of snow. I was relieved to see that they had cleared the snow so that we could pull into the driveway when we got home.

+ -1 moreThe landscaping project went well from the time the crew arrived until they left. They cut our grass weekly or as needed. They pruned shrubs and hauled away brush. I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Morgan Landscaping trimmed our bushes, cut grass, brought in mulch and placed it around trees and shrubs. They were very reliable and efficient. I would highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreStarted Great, Went Horrible. Details: Tuesday Night: I emailed to find out if Brian Morgan from Morgan Landscaping did walkways. He wrote back the same night! Impressive! He came out the next day to provide an estimate. Really Impressive! He said if I wanted to do the job he'd give a written quote. Sounds good to me. Called another landscaper that was unavailable to come out and asked if the price was about right. He said it was high, but then it was a smaller project so perhaps the guy charges more for smaller projects. Talked it over with my husband. We decided to go ahead and do it because Brian said he could come next week. Emailed Brian on Thursday to meet up. Specifically I emailed and gave him my questions to so we could meet and discuss the answers. The questions were items like: a) we'd need a written quote w/ a fixed price (no changes after you start the project) 2) what's your guarantee that it won't crack/settle? 3) do you use rebar? 4) is it a textured surface or non slilp? 5) how deep will you lay the conrete? 5) who can I contact for a reference for concrete work you've done locally? I mean, these are things one would want to know before hiring someone to put concrete in front of their home. Right? Right. Especially 75 sq feet of it that would be close to impossible to move after if things went wrong. Thursday - No reply to my email / no call Friday - No reply to my email / no callSaturday - No reply to my email / no call Sunday - No reply to my email / no call Monday I called Brian and he said "It isn't worth my time to answer your questions/provide references since it is such a small job". SERIOUSLY too small of a project? I mean he knew it was a small project to begin with. I emailed him pictures on Tuesday night with my initial email so that I wouldn't waste anyone's time including my own! SERIOUSLY he decide your best response is not to reply/email and just 'ignore' me and hope I go away? Why not just be professional and call and say, sorry to waste your time but I'm not going to provide references or give you a fixed price, or do what a normal *professional* landscaper would do.

+ 1 moreHe then picked it up and brought it to the my home where he took out my old retaining wall. His workers were excellent and they worked hard. I can say nothing but good about him. He later installed a small wire fence (2ft wide) at my property line where deer were able to slip through. He even has insurance in case something was to happen.
Description of Work: I called him up and told him what I wanted done, a big ft tall fence(50-80ft) and a wooden retaining wall installed, he even looked around and helped me out with finding the best lumber at the best price in Ithica which ended up being Home Depot.
