I've known Earl since the early 1990s when he was neighbor and casual friend -- the friendship has not been active since we ceased being neighbors in 1999. He has worked on both houses we've lived in since 1988, the first an 1890s farmhouse with hot water radiator heat, the current one an 1840s house but with a 1965 forced air system at the time of the 2003 repair. It was mid-winter and cold, so we needed quick service. He fitted us in right away and did an excellent job. I don't recall the details of his 1996 furnace repair on our old house, but I remember it was considerably more complicated that the recent one. Earl is honest, fair, friendly, and does excellent work. Also, he listens well, respects his customers, and communicates clearly about what's wrong, what needs to be done and why, when he can complete it, and what it will cost and why. I rated the price as good, rather than excellent, because I thought it was very fair and appropriate but not a special deal below market rate.

See above. It went very well. Mr. Rose also showed great tact in working with a church member who had previously serviced the heating system and was in attendance. I would recommened Mr. Rose highly.

Very pleased with the service. Earl was very responsive to all questions, was prompt, came when he said he would, completed the work in the time allotted, kept the work area tidy while the project was proceeding and cleaned it thoroughly when done.
