+ 0 moreThe job went well overall. The estimate was true to the dollar. They even made the suggestion to put the downspout tied into the French drain, which works well.
Description of Work: They put in a French drain in my front yard because of pooling water that just kept going back into sump system. They did a great job and I thought the price was reasonable. I am definitely going to use their services again in the near future.

+ 1 moreWe purchased several plants from them for our garden this year. Quality was good price was fair. Watch for deals in local papers to really save money, some of the prices seemed a little high but overall was worth the money. We have purchased from them in the past, the staff and owners are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to help with selection and providing information on plants.
Description of Work: No services performed at my residence we did it ourselves, only purchased plants from them.

Description of Work: I have purchased a new house that required a complete overhaul to the beds, lawn and trimming of numerous trees. I worked with Jason at Stedmans. He responded right away to my request to come out and give me an estimate. He worked with me on the price (since I was having so much done). The guys who did the labor were absolutely fantastic!! It was during the very hot weeks of this summer, but that did not slow them down; they hauled a** and completed my large job in very good time. They were professional, polite, and very nice. Jason's ideas were helpful and all the plants he picked for me are healthy and doing well in their environment (e.g. heavy shade, sunlight, etc.). I would highly recommend Stedman's.

+ -1 moreThey're nice. It's a family-owned business there and the service is very friendly and they are very helpful. The plants I've gotten from there have all done very well. I think the quality is their shrubs and they seem to be better cared for. The pricing on their mulch is very good and that's why I've primarily ordered from there. I've gotten mulch from there for the last two years. I did pricing in the area and it was more competitive and cheaper than anybody I found. The price on the mulch is fair but the price on the plants are fine. They have a lot of sales that make them a normal price. They delivered the mulch when it was scheduled and I'll be getting my mulch from them again this year.
Description of Work: I order my mulch from Stedman's Nursery. I haven't used their landscaping services, but I have purchased some plants from there and I get my mulch from there every year. I ordered 5 cubic yards and next year I'm going to get 7 cubic yards. That's a lot of mulch.

+ 0 moreThey were really good. They were professional. The person that did the design up for us was good and actually sat down with us before the work happened. They went over it and made some changes. They were probably a little pricey on the high side. They definitely did good work and they were very professional about it. Everything they did was very good except for the pricing. I wouldn't call it a value company necessarily. I would hire them again, but I would shop a little bit more for some price comparison just to use.
Description of Work: Stedman Old Farm Nurseries installed new landscaping around the front of the house and one side of the house. They put in a bed with some bushes and plants. They also planted two trees for me. I have a new built house.
