We found the quality of work done to be superior. We would definitely have him in the future for any needed repairs.

It was excellent. The owner came to do the work with a helper. They got right to work and cleaned up after themselves. There were minor issues and they worked through them. He also provided good feedback on other things he saw in the home that might need attention in the near future. He was very knowledgeable and friendly.

If I could give Jeff and his partner an A+ I would. He does quality work quickly, is able to fix just about everything and do everything we had on our to-do list for our new house. I would never call any other worker for home repairs or advice. Jeff and his workers are friendly, polite, helpful and get everything done quickly and beautifully. You can't usually call one person and get electrical work, plumbing work and everything in-between done in a matter of days. So impressed with this company, would recommend and never consider anyone else for work in our home. Thank you, Jeff!!

There was nothing I didn't like about Local Dad Repairs. he was a nice guy, number 1, real professional, showed up when he was supposed to, did everything we asked him to plus other things. He took down the flag mount and put it back up there fully painted that under normal circumstances you'd probably expect the homeowner to do. The price was high, I could have gotten cheaper but I had other repairs done by people that were horrible. He had a good rating with Angie's List so I went with him.

Several minor problems with a nearly new house needed addressing and we hired this company to do the work. A poorly installed toilet leaked onto our ceiling. A plumber fixed the toilet problem earlier, but the ceiling needed painting. Now you can't tell the newly painted area from the rest of the house. Plus not only did they just fix the problems with the handrail, they updated the hardware to prevent future problems. Also, do the poor workmanship by the original home builder the handrail was installed prior to the door framing and when the door was later framed, rather than moving the handrail about one inch, the framers notched the door framing around the handrail. Yes, professional workers are lazy when paid by big companies and not supervised! So we had these people move the handrail and replaced the door frame molding with a new piece and no longer does the door and handrail look like an amateur built our house!

Local Dad Repairs were very prompt, left the house very clean, and did a pretty good job in terms of finishing the work.

He starts the job gung ho but then it goes slowly down hill after that. The work in the short range does not hold up. He started in may and it is september and the work is not holding up. He called me personally and I knew he was upset because on the bill I sent back to him I told him that I was not happy with the color. He could have said something but he said that he could not do it until the spring because of the weather. However, I feel that he only told me this because he had a bigger job to get to.

Nice guy who showed up on time and promptly gave me a quote the following day as promised. The only reason why I gave this business an Overall Grade of B was because of his price. He wanted $700 to power-wash a 1300 square foot house that was already fairly clean (I'm a bit obsessive about my property). In any event, I got it done for $200 (see my reviews) and the house looks brand new. Everything from the gutters to the siding to the fiber board covering the foundation along with a small 8' white fence.

Excellent! They called back right away, on time, listened to our concerns and gave an estimate with detail of work on the spot.

Local Dad Repairs called back immediately. They did excellent work and had fair prices. They were courteous. The tenants he is serving right now withing our condo are absolutely horrible people and he is extremely patient.

This is perhaps my third or fourth review of Jeff Eckes of Local Dad Repair. I could probably cut and paste from my previous reviews except for the different jobs he performs whenever he comes. I called Terri (Jeff's administrative assistant) and made an appointment for the next week. I told Terri what I needed to be done, but subsequently e-mailed her because the ceiling fan arrived earlier than expected. Jeff arrived on time, if not early, and went right to work. He sent me to Home Depot to buy a ceiling plate for the ceiling fan. I figured with the list I gave him I could take my time. I bought the ceiling plate, got a soda and made a few calls. Then Jeff called me to say he was waiting for me. He was all done. I thought, no way! I was only gone for one hour. When I returned home I covertly checked and, yup, he got everything done. Jeff never ceases to amaze and impress me. The list of services he performed is noted above. Look at it. Then look at the amount I paid for Jeff's services. If you can find a better deal with the quality, professionalism and care that Jeff Eckes provides, I tell you to go for it. You cannot! I have tried and wasted hundreds of dollars on shoddy & dangerous repairs. Do yourself a favor and learn from my prior mistakes. Call Local Dad Repair first and it will be your last call for home contractor services.

It went great, was well worth it to not have to try and do it myself.

Jeff is excellent. He is very knowledgeable, and did a good job. I plan on bringing him back this Spring to help with additional jobs. Would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Courteous, Explained well, Work done quickly and excellently

I had spent a good deal of time planning this job and had a good feeling about the expected results. I had decided to use a 3/8 inch beadboard for the wainscoting. Since this product was not in stock at the local lumber yard, I went ahead and ordered it prior to selecting a contractor. I then used Angie's list to search for a contractor. Based on reviews by previous customers, It didn't take me long to narrow the search down to a couple of contractors. I called Jeff Eckes and made an appointment for an estimate. He came promptly and, in a couple of days, sent me a formal estimate. In discussing the job, it became apparent that his knowledge and experience were what I was looking for. His estimate was also quite reasonable. Terri, his office manager, did all of Jeff's scheduling and kept me informed on a regular basis. When my materials arrived, Jeff picked them up for me at the lumber yard. The beadboard was in 4x8 foot sheets.and he had them cut in half to make them easier to transport to the job site. The beadboards were required to spend 48+hours at the site before being installed (temperature and humidity consideratios). Jeff put them in my living room on a Saturday and installed them on the following Monday. Jeff and his assistant came early and put in a full days work, completing all of the woodwork. He made recommendations to enhance the final appearance of the room. They included using a wider base trim that gave a more formal look and changing the door casing trim to provide a wider surface for termination of the base trim and the cap trim. These were ideas that I had not thought of but was glad that he had. They both enhanced the final look. Next, Jeff's painter came and completed the job in a full day. He patched up some irregularities in the sheetrock before painting. He was very meticulous in his work and the final results attest to this. Overall, an excellent job all around. One other point. Jeff and Tom were careful not to make a mess in the process. They used cloth covers everywhere to protect the surroundings. Jeff did his prep work in my garage and a lot of sawdust ensued. When he left, I was amazed to see how clean the garage was-cleaner then before he started work. I highly recommend Jeff Eckes and Local Dad Repairs!

There were no negatives at all, but, based on prior experience, I didn't expect any. I wholeheartedly recommend Local Dad Repairs for ANY job around one's house. I think he can do just about anything.

Arrived to give an estimate, his secretary set up all the appointments. That made things go very well, he was always on time give or take 15 minutes. The work went very well. I will recommend him to anyone. I'm planning to use him again in the spring for outdoor jobs. A very pleasant experience.

Jeff is personable, professional and good at his work. He assessed the work needed to be done and gave me an idea of the cost. He was unable to repair the bathroom molding I had requested. He works neatly and cleans up after he finishes. His price was fair.

Starting at the very beginning with myself calling, I was very impressed to speak to a secretary (most of the local companies I call, especially for home repair, tend to be a quick answering machine message on the guys cell phone.) She was very pleasant and handled everything, scheduled my estimate within a few days and the hours were very flexible. Thomas arrived for the estimate on time and was very professional looking. He was very friendly, easy to talk to. I didn't feel rushed and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful (especially picking colors). We walked through every room to be painted and he even noticed some repair work to the walls i hadn't noticed! Once receiving the estimate, which was very reasonable compared to other estimates my husband and I had received, I was able to set up a start date with the secretary working around my schedule, again they were very flexible with time. Upon arrival for the job I was pleasantly surprised to see it was Thomas with a small crew of workers. It's so nice to know the person doing the estimate is ALSO the one painting! Thomas and his crew arrived on time every day and I was amazed at the quality of the work and how fast the work was done! It took them 4 days...they finished a day ahead of schedule. They also were careful to cover everything very well and I have yet to find any paint on any of my furniture or wood floor. Overall my experience with Local Dad Repair was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, reliable, quality work for a good price.

Jeff arrived on time and completed his work in a timely manner. He works efficiently and fast and one does not have the feeling that he is just dragging his time out. In fact, he does more in less time than anyone I have ever used for home repairs. If you decide to use Jeff, you'll be in good hands. He has my work!

Jeff was here on time, opened up the wall, removed the broken cable installed new cables, and fixed the wall in two visits. He also installed a cat door for me, and installed a sponge drawer under the kitchen sink in the cabinet for me. He was very fastidious, and left the place immaculate upon leaving. He was very personable, and pleasant to talk to and I would definitely hire him again.

Jeff is excellent! ! he is like what a repair person use to be. He actually does what you want and goes the EXTRA miles. HIs work is beyond compare. if you actually want someone who does it right the first time - you call Jeff! he puts the others to shame!!!

I found Jeff's listing on Angie's list and was impressed with his customer reviews. I contacted him and made arrangements for him to come to our home. Jeff was there on time and we found his work to be excellent. He works fast and efficiently, explaining as he proceeds.He is also very pleasant to deal with and genuinely appears to enjoy what he is doing.His price is very fair and I plan on using his services again.

I was quite satisfied with Jeff in all aspects of his being on time, professionalism, and comments on other work that I was contemplationg around my home. I plan to have him work on the other things that we discussed as soon as I get the needed materials.
