Culligan of Newburgh NY

I moved a few years back and went from top quality town water to really bad well water. Having no experience with well water I tried to read up on things and maintain the existing water softener and filters myself. After realizing things were not working I turned to what I thought was a professional organization. With small children in the house and two working parents I just wanted to rely on what I thought was a reputable organization to do the job right. After going over limited options with the salesperson I bought into a $3k+ water filtration system and reverse osmosis system. The installation was sloppy and rushed. Quick connections used everywhere and the RO system was forced under the kitchen sink instead of below the kitchen in the mechanical room. I reserved judgement in hopes that the installation was not an indication of how the system would operate. Over the course of the next year plus we would experience issues with the water like foul smelling, leaving spots on everything, drying out your skin, etc. Each time we would go back and forth with Culligan to try and get someone to come out and address the problem. Each person that would finally show up would bad mouth the people that make the appointments as well as the last service person that was there to perform "maintenance work"...but it didn't really matter to us since we would just get a different version of the story as to what failed, what needed to be replaced, get hit with $200-300 bill and just experience the same issues all over again. Well, when the digital timer went shortly after the pathetic 1 year warranty was up I had enough. We tried for over a week t get someone to the house, left several messages and no call back. Got the answering service over a weekend and they said they would need to charge me for an emergency visit if they sent someone out. Well sorry, it was only an emergency because nobody could call us back during the week!! Had to make an appointment. Great. Service guy did not show up when he was supposed to so my wife could not grill him about all of the issues and get to the bottom of things. He supposedly fixed the digital clock but not really sure what else he did. I know what he didn't do though...and that was change filters that needed to be changed. He called my wife after he left the house and said he didn't do it because she was not there to approve it. Nice guy right. He offered us the courtesy of making another appointment so he could come back and charge us again. No thanks. Never again with you people and your joke of an organization. Criminals...

They are excellent. Easy to deal with friendly service.
