+ 1 moreSuperior Exteriors saved my front porch. My house came with a front porch addition that had started to sag away from the house. I asked Kim if it could be saved. Her crew dug out all of the supports, replaced them and shored up the porch against the house again. Superior also replaced my roof. It required a complete tear off with 3 layers of shingles on it. I was happy with the price for the amount of work involved. Plus pleasantly surprised at how well the crew cleaned up after they where done. I originally contacted Superior because it is a woman owned business. I was pleasantly surprised in her competitive pricing backed up by excellent work. Whenever I need work done to my house inside or out Superior is who I call.

+ 0 moreI contacted Superior Exteriors because I had a problem with water leaking behind my gutters. I was immediately told that the cause was water getting in around the dormers because there was no flashing. I received a quote for the job, which I thought was reasonable, and consented to having the work done. After things were complete, I noticed during the first rain that there was as much water dripping behind the gutters as there was prior to the work being done. When contacted, they came out to my home and repeatedly stated that I needed new gutters to solve the problem. I was never told that I needed flashing AND gutters until I told them the flashing didn't work AT ALL! They refused to do anything about work that did not have to be done. They then offered to install gutters at a discounted price. Superior Exteriors will never be used again because I have no confidence in their ability to correctly assess what should have been an easy problem.
Description of Work: Installed flashing around the dormers of my home, saying that would stop water from dripping behind my gutters.

+ -1 moreI contacted provider by phone, seeking an estimate for gutter cleaning of my two story home. During my initial phone contact, I conveyed my need and was told they would get back to me. I did not hear from this provider again. I had the same experience with three other companies. Apparently, people who install gutters are less inclined to want to clean them out. I eventually found another company that was more responsive and willing to do the work I needed done.

Description of Work: They never showed up for an estimate. When I called,they forgot about my appointment and scheduled another one for someone else and would not be able to come out that day.I had to take a half day off to make this appointment, the least they could do is have some better book keeping to help their potential customers.

+ 1 moreThe good thing with this company is they won't tear your old roof off if there is going to be any rain. Some contractors will do that and use a tarp to keep it dry. I didn't want that and Kim said that she never opens a roof on a rainy day. My roof was torn off and replaced in 1 1/2 days. The front porch was an exploratory contract. We didn't know how rotted out the wood was underneath and I was really worried about overage charges. After it was all done I had to pay an extra $375.00 for materials which was very fair. Kim doesn't look to rip anyone off with home repair. She wants to do a good job at a good price, which she does. Her foreman has a lot of good ideas and suggestions that I found helpful.
Description of Work: New energy star roof (Certainteed brand). Complete tear off and fix 2 pieces of plywood that were damaged. My house didn't have a ridge vent and Kim insisted it was the best thing for my roof. I am glad I went with her suggestion. Now that the house can breath better it stays cooler during this hot summer. Replace wood legs under front porch. My porch was pulling away from the house and I didn't know why. When they started digging under the porch we found out the legs had rotted out. Whoever built the porch didn't use pressure treated lumber. Superior jacked the porch up and replaced 7 legs with footers. Back deck was sagging due to lack of support. I had been told by other contractors it couldn't be fixed. Kim's foreman told me it could be done and he did it. I have a unique dog shoot attached to the deck that made it a little tricky but they fixed that too. It looks great now! Fixed ceiling in stairwell where my old roof had leaked. They tore out the damaged ceiling, replaced the insulation, put up a sheetrock ceiling with edging and painted it. This was in the basement stairwell 16' from the ground which required a few ladders and good balance but they did it without a problem.

+ 0 moreThey came with different options to replace my old crank out windows but I choose sliding windows. They waited until the weather was decent since its been such a bad winter this year and I appreciated that. The windows I choose was Sunrise Windows due to the quality and price. I am very happy with my decision. My two storm doors were in very bad shape. They removed them and installed new Andersen storm doors. I love the new doors with screens that roll down from the top. I have more windows to replace and I will be calling them to do the work. I would recommend them to anyone.

+ 0 moreEverything went great. Once I choose what doors I wanted, Kim gave me an estimate that was far less than any others we got. She had her installer come measure for exact size a few days later. When the day came for them to install the doors I had a family emergency and had to cancel but they rescheduled for the next day. They came and installed the doors just as expected and everything looks great. They even installed new doorbells for me even though I hadn't even thought about that. Kim was there to inspect the work her guys did and make sure the finished product looked great. I have already recommended them to my neighbor.

+ 0 moreEverything went as expected. The owner came out with her head installer and inspected my roof. She gave me an estimate for all the work I asked for that was less than other estimates I got. My roof had been leaking for some time so I expected that extra work may need to be done but once they removed my roof they found no significant damage so that was a relief. I felt they were very honest about everything which made me feel good because I really don't know anything about roofs. I would trust them with any work on my house.
