Zicklin Contracting removed and re-pointed the mortar between the brick on the facade of my house. Whenever I voiced my concern about anything he explained everything to me in detail, he assured me that I would be pleased with the outcome, If not, he would do whatever was necessary to guarantee my satisfaction with the finished product. After years of dealing with assorted tradesmen, I was skeptical, but his price was reasonable, so I allowed myself to assume the best and I took him at his word. I'm glad I did. When the work was done I paid him in full. On the following day I noticed a few areas that I thought needed a second going over. I called Raj and explained what I thought required his attention and he didn't hesitate to schedule a date to accomplish my requests. On the scheduled date, Raj arrived on time and did everything I had asked of him with the assistance of another member of his crew. After he was finished with his work, he asked me to inspect what was done, because he didn't want to leave my property without first obtaining my complete satisfaction.I would never hesitate to use Zicklin Contracting again.They are true professionals. Excellent experience working with Zicklin Contracting Co. ; they came and showed me lots of options and let me choose my materials and colors. They covered everything in plastic and drop cloths. They arrived early every morning and worked full days -- in fact, they finished 2 days early! They did beautiful work and the bathroom looks great. They added a decorative tile and a electrical outlet with no additional cost. They took care of all the niceties, like shelves and towel bars. They checked-in throughout the project and told me about the progress and what was happening next; and they handle all the materials -- purchased everything I requested and showed me the materials before they installed. They were very professional and easy to work with and I would hire them again for any project!

This contractor did a very good job for us. He was professional and very detail oriented and his work is awesome. We are very happy with Zicklin Contracting. We replaced every window LINTEL AND SILL in our house and it was completed in a timely fashion. We have work in the future that he will receive because we know his price will be fair and the work will be great again for us! Matthew Dougherty- Upper West Side- Windows Project I would give Zicklin Contracting seven stars if I could. We have lime stain original wood windows and doors. The old single pane windows from the 1980s were ugly and ineffective. The wood window frames and doors were beaten up and the cello finish had bubbled and cracked. Took us a long time to figure out the right way to do it. Ali knew exactly how to do this job! The window installation was fairly simple, but the refinishing of the window frames and doors was really handcrafted, entire job took four weeks from the construction start date.Ali and every member of his team had exceptional customer service. They arrived on time, and called to let us know they were five minutes away. Every person associated with the job puts in a full day's work with exceptional focus on the job at hand. They left the house spotless every day and were considerate of noise, cats, home office work, everything. The work is stunning and reflects craftsmanship and attention to detail that went far beyond our standards.Raj was extra careful in the measurements and ordering and texting me frequently to make sure he had the correct finish and style on the hardware, for example. Raj said the windows would take a week to install and he could do it if the weather was good. So we installed in the middle of February. Raja and the installer both made sure we checked every window and understood how to open them for cleaning.Raj and his team were patient, even welcoming of every punchlist item. We added work in the middle of the job and the adjusted price was more than fair. It was a pleasure working with Zicklin Contracting and we will use them for all future large remodeling jobs.

Follow up was horrible. Had some roof shingles redone by a skylight as a leak was coming through. Was fine for a few months and called back Raj. Took at least a month to finally respond and get them back. A few months later, the leak returned. Tried him again, no response at all. Not good customer service at all. YMMV, but just note the above.

Raj contacted me right away and came over to give me an estimate the same day. The job was completed the same week. I was contacted while the work was being done to inform me of potential concerns and changes. Raj was personable, professional and very knowledgeable. The crew was here on time, were efficient, and cleaned up afterward. I am very happy with the work done. I will be hiring Zicklin again for another project in a few months. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my neighbors, family and friends!

Service initially seemed well but when they promised to come and fix a problem, they didn't show up.

the job has not been completed but its coming along nicely. im inforned with every step taken and told why its dobe the way it is. lm only able to have part of the job completed do to a strick budget but i hope to be able to call upon them to completed the job as a whole.

They did a great job on the house. Their work ethic is great and they cleaned up nicely after work was completed.
