Urban Maid Green

Description of Work: I contacted Urban Maid on the recommendation of a friend when my regular cleaning person was ill. I set up two dates in December, 2011 - 12/16 and 12/23. The first visit one of the cleaning people was late by 1/2 hour which I did not think much about until the end of the scheduled three hour assignment when I found out that the works drop everything they are doing when time is up and will not stay and finish the cleaning job. The first cleaning session was OK and I learned how to handle the service for the next cleaning assignment. On Wednesday, December 21 I received a call from the agency informing me that they had no one to send to my house on December 23, but could send someone in on Monday, December 26. I pointed out this was the day after Christmas and that my appointment had been set up for a month. Finally, after several phone calls arrangements where made to send people on December 23. Again, one worker was late- almost 45 mins.- and the other worker was on her cell phone while she cleaned. I specifically checked on the workers and reviewed what they were doing. Still, when time was up, they had not finished the cleaning job. I called the office first thing on Monday, December 26 to express my unhappiness with the service and request a refund. The company had no interest in making any refund to me or really listening to what I had to say. The one offer he made was to give me a reduced rate on the next two cleaning appointments. I declined because the service did a poor job cleaning in both appointments and have no mechanism to deal with employees who show up late. They use some sort of air freshened to make the premises smell good but it does not make up for a substandard cleaning job. I highly, highly recommend that you do NOT use this service.

Description of Work: I have a one-bedroom apartment and they do a two hour cleaning. She does the basics: the bathroom, the kitchen, the floor, etc. I have her primarily focused on cat hair removal.
