The Bed Bug Inspectors

My building had hired a canine inspector to inspect surrounding apartments. I asked to be added on, they gave me a discount, as they would already be in the building (normally 250$). I had looked up the company online, because I had been warned that some companies may sent uncertified dogs, with unreliable results, and had seen that they had a certified dog named Freedom, so I agreed to this inspection by this company. They came with an extremely sluggish looking, totally disinterested dog, whom the handler called Cruise, which barely responded to commands and did not alert anywhere in my or (I was told) in the surrounding apartments. I complained to the provider, and insisted on a redo, which I have to say, in fairness, they did, on 8/7/2015. This time, they sent Freedom, who promptly alerted to several places on my bedframe. No report was given to me at first, but it was finally sent upon my insistence (I have copies of both reports). So you want to be sure, with this company, that they actually send you the certified dog.

I thought it was overpriced for what it was. It was about 10 minutes of a dog walking through the house. There was no moving of the bed or anything. They charged us a lot of money for the service, and then charged extra for them to come out to Peekskill. The dog smelled too - like it had just rolled around in poop. The owner of the dog noticed it and apologized. It was fairly easy to schedule the appointment, however.

I was impressed with their accuracy. They were able to identify when my parents were infested and not infested. I found them totally reliable. They're very responsible, returned phone calls quickly, and were kind people. If I had followup questions, they called me and put my mind at ease. I had an excellent, excellent experience with them.

The guy and the dog did a thorough examination and didn't find any bed bugs.

It turned out great. It's a touchy subject but they were very discrete, very nice, professional and reasonably priced.

He and his team did a great job, they inspected and I did not have bedbugs. They were very responsive and very personable. I was in a panic and they were very calm and set me at ease. I have referred friends to him.

Someone came with a dog who sniffed around entire house and told us there was no sign of them anywhere else. We were relieved until a week later we found them in another chair. We put another chair in the trash. We called company back and they immediately sent another man they called the senior inspector and a different dog. There was no charge for the second visit. The senior inspector arrived and thoroughly checked the whole house. This visit produced a reaction from the dog at our couch. We put the couch out at the curb and since that date have not seen any more signs. Hopefully we have seen the last of them. Company employees very professional. We believe the first handler may not have been experienced enough to read the dogs signs.
