Description of Work: Initial consultation for organization

Description of Work: I'm a journalist working out of the small second bedroom of our apartment. I am constantly accumulating new files, new piles of paper, new books and scholarly journals, new mountains of clutter. I could barely see the surface of my desk or the floor area around it. The thought of trying to get it all sorted and organized completely overwhelmed and depressed me. Enter the delightful, unflappable, supremely capable Liz Ureneck. To her my clutter was a challenge. Over the course of a couple days, and without making a fuss or passing judgement on all the chaos or making me go out and buy all sorts of expensive organizing tools, she got it all into clearly marked files -- and, this is key, she made the whole process fun. She found various containers/boxes around my apartment and turned them into holders for different items -- phone numbers, business cards, stamps, pens, etc., etc. She went calmly through all the stacks and stacks of paper -- bills and personal letters mixed in with work stuff - and organized it into categories and neatly marked file folders. I trusted her completely and felt absolutely comfortable having her go thru my most personal papers -- bank statements, credit card receipts, personal letters, etc. She refused to take even a short break until she had made significant headway and even then she was reluctant to stop. Her compulsion to finish the job and get everything organized was the perfect match for my own tendencies toward cluttering and disorganization. She did such a fabulous job and was so great to have around - -- have i mentioned her sense of humor? -- that i hired her for many subsequent projects: organizing my closets, doing my voluminous piles of receipts for my tax preparer, cleaning out our totally overstuffed, disorganized basement storage closet.
