Elba and her team were fantastic! They showed up on time and worked hard to scrub down 3 floors of a single family home. The one thing that caught me off guard was having to buy our own cleaning supplies, which we were not prepared for, but once the cleaning supplies were provided to Elba and her team, they did a great job and met our expectations of cleaning the house in preparation for an open house.

Quality Cleaning Company was wonderful. They were very good. The cleaning was incredible, I did not need heavy duty organizing, but they did organize my California Closet. They were very thorough, everything was spotless. I have now used them ever since. Prices were also very fair. They were very efficient and accommodating. They came exactly on time and each time a different person came, but each time they were just as great as the time before. I did ask though and if I prefer I could have the same person come each time.

I came across them, on Angie's list. El was responsive in our numerous conversations before the appointment, and was very flexible and diligent in making the appointment as convenient as possible. El's and Josie's work ethic is second to none, and I have decided to retain them and their services on a bi-weekly basis from hereon in. They are honest and considerate and very thorough and competent, and they will not nickel-and-dime you. They want to do right, and they do it well.
Description of Work: El Rodriquez is a first rate, classy, professional woman in her approach both to her work, and inter-personally. Her company was hired by me to do 6 hours of cleaning work ((2 ppl at 3 hrs each, or 1 person for 6 hours, and it ended up being the latter) plus two rooms of carpet cleaning. The worker, Josie, was punctual and worked non-stop for more than the six hours. The head of the company, El, also stayed for three+ hours, methodically cleaning the carpets.

Description of Work: My experience with Quality Cleaning came about as a result of Angie's Big Deal. I purchased a three hour package for cleaning. The staff member arrived punctually, but I could tell she hadn't been informed about the particulars. She wanted to know how many hours I'd be using. Then she asked me if I wanted her to clean or organize. I told her I was just interested in cleaning, and that I wanted her to spend about an hour each in the kitchen and living room, and then to take the last hour for the bathroom and halls. She spent the entire time in the kitchen--and it was not that dirty. I realized later that she had spent most of the time reorganizing. I do accept part of the blame. I was working out of my home office and failed to check in on her progress. Granted, what she did, she did well; but it wasn't what I requested or expected.

I'm completely taken back how horrible this experience was and question this Angie's List service. I really reviewed and read over the reviews posted on Angie's List before purchasing the deal for this "company" and thought it was the best decision...wrong! First of all this doesn't seem like a "company" to me because the number provided is a cell phone and only one person ever answers...Elba. From the beginning I sensed that going with this service was a bad idea but felt that I shouldn't be so negative and just give them a try. First when I called to schedule my appointment Elba was very kind, professional and took down all my information (name, address, floor #, phone, etc). My schedule was a little hard to work with but she was able to get me an appointment on a Monday morning at 8:00 am, which I appreciated. The Sunday before the appointment I was out all day and when I came home in the evening I had a voicemail from Elba confirming my cleaning for 12:00 pm! Which is not the appointment agreed upon. I continued checking my messages and had another voicemail from her apologizing that she got the appt time mixed up (relief!) and is now confirming for 4:00 (annoyed because still wrong!). It was late in the evening and couldn't do anything about the mix up so left a voicemail for her. The next day she called me apologized and we set up an early morning again the following Monday. Well the following Monday the cleaning woman ended up at my job! Apparently she used the shipping address on my PayPal account (which is how I paid for the deal). I could understand how that mix up can happen BUT we confirmed my HOME address the previous week AND I work in a landmark building in NYC (the Chrysler building!). So AGAIN we try reschedule the appt. She told me she would try to get someone for that Sat. and would call me back. Well she never did and on Sat. morning I get a call from one of her cleaners asking me for the exact street # and was only a few blocks away. I told her that Elba didn't tell me she was coming but I was on my way out so thought it worked out. When she arrived she had no supplies, not even gloves! Luckily I have plenty of products, showed here where everything was, left her keys to lock up and went on my way to run errands. When I came back I was completely horrified and highly upset on what I saw! ALL of the mirrors were completely filled with streaks (you could barely see yourself), the floors were sticky!! my television stand (which is black glass) also had streaks and looked a little white, there was still crumbs on my carpet (near a tiny table and chair for my toddler so guess she dropped food before we left), found areas on my sticky kitchen floor that looked like it hadn't been mopped and the smell was horrible! I could not believe it because I use brand name products and have products like Windex for the mirrors and floor cleaners (like Mr. Clean) but they seemed to not have been touched! The Clorox bottle seemed a little empty and my OxyClean stain remover for my LAUNDRY was a little low, so it seemed she used that! I called Elba highly upset because now this was the weekend before Christmas and now have to clean after the cleaning lady. She was VERY apologetic and said that was the first time she sent this woman out alone (can't remember her name). She offered to have someone come again at no charge. I was happy that she was trying to correct the issue but it was the Sat. before Christmas. I told her that we should schedule the first Sat. after the New Year and she added it. Well as luck would have it she never confirmed the appointment the night before and that Sat. morning woke up with what appeared to be a stomach flu! Obviously nothing wrong in her part BUT I did call her to ask if it was too late to cancel. I explained the situation and told her if the woman was on her way then its okay but if she was able to get a hold of her that would be great and to call me back either way. Well I had to call her over an hour later to find out the status. She told me "oh I did get her before she left so cancelled." In the end I expressed to Elba my disappointed and asked for a refund. Which she did promptly but refunded me the wrong amount. I had to email her and within a few days the balance was refunded. This just really showed me how unorganized she is and that is EXTREMELY important when dealing with appointment schedules and money. Overall I gave an F because of how disorganized the process was and the horrible job this "cleaner" did, even with the proper cleaning supplies that was provided.
Description of Work: I needed someone to clean the kitchen, bathroom, living room in my small apartment. I also told the cleaning woman that if time permitted if she could do both my daughters rooms, but stressed it wasn't a big deal because I was more concerned wit hthe bathroom, kitchen, and living area.

They were very good. If anything, I believe I had used them twice. It was nice that they adapted to what I needed. For example, we were doing closets together. We were just sorting through things. They were very helpful. Whatever you needed help with, they would help you with. It was nice that they gave me the option and asked what I needed help with. They were very pleasant.

After getting my floors replaced, my apartment was dusty, and needed a more thorough cleaning. I responded to the "big deal" from AL, and purchased 3 hours for $90. Cleaner arrived a bit early, I told her to do the best possible within the purchased three hours, and to focus on just cleaning the dust from the recent work. I stepped out of the apartment to run errands while she was cleaning. Got a call about an hour into the cleaning that it "was taking longer than expected," and to ask if I wanted to purchase more hours. I again responded that I didn't, and to do the best possible within the purchased time. Job was OK, but later the company tried to jam me for an extra two hours, even though I repeatedly reiterated that I only wanted the amount of time that I purchased. As mentioned, cleaning was OK, but I would not use them again, as I think this sort of approach is unprofessional.

This was the second time I bought a coupon and I was very satisfied both times. Both women were very accommodating and willing to do little extra things that I asked (cleaning the inside of the microwave, dusting an artificial plant, etc...) My only small complaint is that they sort of show up when they feel like it. My first appointment was for 1pm and the cleaner didn't get to my home until 2pm. The next appointment was for 11am and she showed up at 10am. It worked out fine both times, and I was happy with the job they did, so not a big problem. I will definitely use this service again!

I hired the cleaning service to do some thorough house cleaning that, due to arthritis, I am no longer capable of doing. I was also hoping to establish a relationship for future organizational projects I need completed. The company claims to have expertise in both areas. The company is based in Manhattan. I have a two story single family house in Queens. Although they included Queens in their offer through Angie's List, it was an inconvenience for them. I set up the appointment with the owner of the company. She recommended two people for three hours, instead of one person for six hours. I agreed that would be best. On the day of service, the owner drove the two women to my house. This was January 11th. My house had been cleaned for Christmas but I wanted the bathroom tile walls scrubbed, because it is a new bathroom and I can see some of the white grout film on the walls. Key words here: new bathroom. This room does not even have one visible speck of mildew, so cleaning it does not take a lot of time. I also wanted the kitchen cabinets scrubbed. I have a very small kitchen so that was not a big project. When I was younger, I could dust, wax and vacuum the whole house in 3 hours. One woman started in the bathroom and kept saying it wasn't dirty, and the other was in my bedroom. I was busy getting cleaning products and tools they requested, and preparing other rooms, thinking they would go through them with the vacuum cleaner. They each spent about an hour on those two rooms. The bathroom was swept and I saw her cleaning the statues on my shelves. They were just cleaned for Christmas so she did not need to waste so much time on them. My bedroom needed to be dusted and vacuumed, that was it. I told her that. I am not supposed to vacuum myself any more and we have a dog so the hair is an issue. I saw her vacuum part of the room. Then they both went downstairs. They did not vacuum the hallway or other bedroom or the stairs. One worker started cleaning the kitchen the other vacuumed the dinette. My husband moved the furniture in the living room so it could be vacuumed underneath, she came in with the broom and just swept. We put it back together. She went into the kitchen with the other worker. I started to vacuum the living room myself, then she came back and took over. She dusted the dining room but never vacuumed the carpeting. All of a sudden they sat down in the dinette and said they were done. I realized the three hours were up. We sat there for about half an hour waiting for the boss to pick them up. They were nice women. I even gave them a generous tip. But I couldn't wait for them to leave so I could finish cleaning. The kitchen cabinets were clean. She even reorganized my shelves. The floor was pretty dirty. I swept it when they were upstairs and that was the only cleaning it got until they left when I filled the bucket with hot soapy water and mopped it myself. Actually, the bucket and mop had not even been used up in the bathroom. She told me it wasn't bad and she wiped the floor down with a rag. I then vacuumed the whole first floor because the worker had only done the dinette and part of the living room when she took it from me. The next day I was packing for a trip and discovered dust and webs in a corner and along the baseboard in my bedroom. I was looking at the bathroom tile walls to see how much better they looked and realized she did not clean the walls at all. My grandchildren had been over and took bubble baths a few days before the cleaners came and got bubbles stuck to the walls and they dried up as white crusty smudges. They were still there! Bubbles! Can you imagine? She couldn't even wipe down the walls next to the bathtub. I most certainly will NOT be using their services again. I detest writing this review. I was so disappointed because I have never hired cleaners before and I so much wanted it to be a positive experience. It was also the first time I was using an "Angie's List" offer.

After the work was done, you said that the workers had done a great job, you would want them to come when you got back from Florida and as you mentioned in your review, you even gave them a generous tip. As mentioned before your scheduled appointment, the workers were there to work at your direction. Being that there was so much work to be done in your home that they could not do it all in one day, they worked on the portions that you indicated were most important to you at the moment. Had you mentioned you were not happy with any part of it, they would have done what they needed to do to make it right and that offer still stands.

The first worker that was sent was a charming young woman. I've not had anyone in for cleaning for many years, so, my expectations may be faulty. It seemed to me that she made an unusual number of 'phone calls & received a lot. Taking into account her children, etc. It still seamd like a lot. She was willing to work over the time scheduled, cheerfully. However, my 1st. requirement was to clean the floors thru-out the 1 bedroom apt. Afterwards, especially for my husband, areas had been missed & he wasn't pleased. Ms.Rodriguez was appologetic and offered 2 hours of cleaning, free! to remedy the situation. The next young woman, also was charming. She, also, would have stayed longer than scheduled. She did a pretty good job. 1) I didn't understand exactly what equipment was needed for cleaning so they had to 'make do' at some points. 2) There was some confusion about when the work had been scheduled, but I was flexible. 3) I asked about general costs, like one person per hr., how many hrs. must be scheduled, I was told that it was $20.00 per hour. The 'deal' I had purchased from Angie's List was for 1 person for 3 hours=general cleaning for $89.00! The math doesn't add up. 4) Yes, I would reccomend this service=based upon the caliber of both the workers whom I met. Anyone would feel just fine having these two ladies in their home. 5) Also, perhaps I should have been more 'hands on' & involved. I hadn't had to do so in the past, so I behaved as I understood to do. ...................................................................................................... Ms.Rodriguez has informed me that the original ad was meant to convey that the price included the cost of 'ORGANIZING' WHICH IS BILLED AT $60.00 per hr. I was unaware of this and didn't inquire about the $ discrepancy. The way that the original ad was writtenn seemed to offer either/or= a choice between each of the services stated= House Cleaning, Holiday Help,or Organizing or purchase as a gift for someone else. I had said that I needed Just House Cleaning, starting with the floors, then what ever else could fit in. She has offered to refund the difference. She also said that each of the cleaners which she had sent to me, told her that there was a lot of work to do here, more than the time allowed. Why neither spoke to me about that, I do not know. At the beginning of each of their cleaning time, I said that it had been yrs. since I had had a cleaning person &-so-might not be able to judge the "cleaning versus time' factor. I told them not to hesitate to ask me anything, anything at all.

I needed a "move-in" cleaning of an apartment that I was moving into. I contacted Quality Cleaning Company via phone and spoke with Elba. I explained my cleaning needs and the condition of the apartment and Elba was able to give me an estimate of how much time it would take one of her cleaning specialists to do the work I described. She also followed up with an email confirming the date and time of my appointment as well as the name of the cleaning specialist assigned and the cleaning supplies that I should provide. Given that the floors had just been refinished and were not able to be cleaned yet, I asked for the cleaning specialist to focus on cleaning and sterilizing the kitchen and bathroom. I also asked her to wipe down the closets, windows and sweep the floors. The cleaning went according to the amount of time that Elba estimated and I was happy with the quality of work done and the professionalism that was shown. The prices that Quality Cleaning Company offers are extremely competitive. I have only used the company once so far but I plan to schedule recurring appointments.

Description of Work: I had the worst carpet dirt imaginable. The carpets in my apartment were soiled with years of stains and dirt. This company came to my aid in a big way. Unable to find a company that would not overcharge me because of the task at hand, these guys came in, gave me a great price and when they were done it felt as if I underpaid them. The carpets were immaculate when they were done, almost the same as when I originally purchased them. I contacted the service about a week ahead of when i needed them, and they quickly came up with a date and time. They did not have two people to send for three hours, and offered me one person for six hours instead. I accepted immediately and asked if the person would be bringing their own vacuum cleaner. There was no response at all to this email, so on the morning of the scheduled visit I wrote to confirm the appointment. The person wrote back confirming immediately but still did not answer the question about the vacuum cleaner. The young lady was scheduled to arrive at 2 p.m. At 1:30 she left a voice mail to say that she would be about half an hour late, and she did, indeed, arrive at 2:30. She was extremely nice and polite, and explained in some detail why she got held up by a patient crisis at her other job that had obliged her to be late for her appointment with me. I asked her about cleaning supplies, she had none with her, and she responded that she had been sent to help me organize my Christmas ornaments (for 6 hours??). I explained that the main priority was cleaning the apartment, after which I would like help just erecting the tree and putting on the lights (not the ornaments.) She seemed very taken aback but said she could clean. The young lady worked very hard, but she was really slow (I used to clean houses to put myself through school so i know what is reasonable to expect. ) She asked a lot of questions about how I wanted things cleaned, preferred to sweep rather than vacuum, and was not able to work very independently. At the end of six hours (she did make up for her lateness) she had cleaned two small bathrooms, the hallway, the living room and the kitchen (which left the two bedrooms and the dining area ---- and the tree) The bathrooms were brilliantly clean, the other rooms were pretty good, but fluff in the corners. The young lady was the epitome of politeness and industry, but to call her a cleaning/organizing 'specialist' is not accurate. I was incredibly disappointed that the work was not completed in the time; i had a party scheduled for two days later and it threw my planning off quite a bit.
Description of Work: I paid $100 each for two 3 hour coupons (total $200 for six hours) as a special offer. I asked to have my apartment cleaned (two bedrooms, 2 bath) and for the person/people to erect my Christmas tree and string the lights.

I was moving into a new apt with a pregnant wife and a 3 year old and i wanted the place spotless. I just had new floors done so the place was a bit dusty. Elba was a pleasure dealing with, very responsive and accommodating in scheduling me even though i had to move the date around. she assigned two workers and thought it would take 6-7 hours of cleaning. they ended up spending 10 hours there. One worker showed up promptly at 8:30am, the other arrived 30-40 min after her. I would have preferred a more detailed list of cleaning supplies needed since i had to run out twice during the cleaning to purchase other items. They generally did an ok job, i'd say it was about 75% of what i would have wanted. I have a much higher threshold for what spotless means. I have california closets and after spending a long time cleaning them, when they were gone, i would wipe the sides or the bottoms of the shelves and they'd be dusty still. in some of the kitchen cabinets, some were still a bit dirty, though much improved, but i found myself recleaning and wiping down a lot of areas where they spent a lot of time. They did save me a lot of time, but i found that there were just too many areas missed and i spent too much time recleaning to give them an "A" rating. the price per hour of $20 was the lowest i found, but after 10 hours of cleaning, a lot was left undone. I asked them to leave the windows and floors til the end since i wanted to prioritize the kitchen and baths and closets. i would have thought that given that the est was for 6-7 hours, that given 10 hours, they would get to everything, but they didn't get to the floors or winders in that time. i might use them again for upkeep but for a deep move in cleaning, i prob would go with someone else.
