Precision Painting Plus

The team worked quickly and efficiently until close to the end of the job when their work became sloppy. Clean-up was poorly done and Precision responded by sending a cleaner who worked for a full day at Precision's expense.

They get the job done. Mike and Alex are easy to work with. Two painters done great job. The whole process is just nice and easy.

They did a very professional job.

It did not go! The person scheduled to perform an estimate for the work required never showed. After calling Precision Painting Plus, who do not keep a record of estimator's appointments, they contacted the estimator and then made another appointment for the next day. He arrived 45 minutes late for this appointment (we called Precision again when he was late, who then had to call him to check his schedule). He toured the areas we wanted painted and said he would provide an estimate in 'a couple of days'. It's been more than 2 weeks since then. This was very surprising in that we had just used PPP for another job, for which they were very punctual and did an adequate (not great) job.

They were here every morning at 8:00. They did not get paint on anything, recommended a place to get the paint and I was satisfied with everything.

I purchased a painting deal from this company on Angie's List but it was not applicable to the area where I live. The company called me the day after I purchased the deal to let me know. They were very professional. I got a refund from AL.

Called to make appointment for an estimate. I waited at the location for the provider to show up at the scheduled time and left 3 messages after he was supposed to be there. When he finally called me back he told me he hurt himself and would give me an estimate over the phone. He also wanted to tack on an additional travel charge. I told him I would not want a phone estimate. I do not believe his story of getting hurt and no one ever followed up with me on this issue from the company. The whole thing was a terrible inconvenience because I had to go 100 miles out of my way to meet up with a guy who never showed up. I would have liked a detailed explanation of what actually happened.

All floors covered, everything cleaned up after each day of work. The work was finished within the time frame promised (much less time than quoted by others). Overall the work was great! I'm in the home improvement business, so I am very particular about the work I accept. After I went over the work and found a few blemishes, They were back in two days to fix. My first Angies List hire and I look forward to using them again.

It went well overall. They were very accommodating even though we made an internal mistake.

I purchased the big deal and just wanted the company to come out and paint for a day like the deal stated. They came out the 1st time and gave me an estimate of just over a $1,000.00 to paint my dining room and hallway and I was supplying the paint. They said there were a few cracks that needed to be taped and feathered. I did not feel it should cost this much so I called Angie's List and asked for another estimate by someone else from the company. They called me and told me they would speak to the guy who gave me the estimate. He said it would be $795.00 in addition to the $199.00 I already paid. He said it would be 8 hours but they have to take lunch as well. He also said one guy couldn't do the work in 8 hours and I feel a professional painter should be able to do the work in 8 hours.

Came as scheduled for estimate. Dave was helpful with paint color and finish suggestions. Two painters came on time and completed the job in one day. Prep was good. A different color and finish was used for the trim and they were attentive to details. They cleaned up well afterwards.

Precise Painting Contracting Corp were good. They were easy to contact, the project manager would contact me everyday or I would meet him when I went to my house when they were painting to look around. If there were any problems they would let us know and there were some things that needed touch up work so they came back and did the touch up.

They did a good job. Jason came and gave me an estimate then we scheduled the work. I let him know the paint colors and finishes. He only uses Benjamin Moore which is fine with me. We scheduled for a Monday but the workers did not show up that day which was annoying. They came on Tuesday and were on time and worked all day. Jason came by to check on the work in mid afternoon. The workers do not speak English so make sure to tell Jason anything you want before he leaves. I thought the price was very reasonable and I would use them again.

Dave from PPP was extremely professional, answered all calls and emails promptly. Any concerns I had were quickly addressed and dealt with. After the initial paint job was done (while we were away), we called PPP back for a couple brief touchups and an additional small job, which they were able to schedule for within 24 hours. I have no complaints, this was a top-notch service at a reasonable price, and I would hire them again.

We had a 2bed, 2bath apartment that needed to be painted. Some walls needed some minor skimming and there were some small patches needed for the walls where we had some wiring replaced. Dave confirmed the appointment the day after the requst and had an estimate to us later that evening. While not the least expensive, Dave provided us with some additional ideas on color and application. The crew was able to start two days early (less than a week after the quote) and was finished in five days. Dave came by to do a spot check on the last day and had the team clean up a few additional areas. We are completely satisfied with the work of Preciscion Painting and would recommend them to anyone. Very professional.

We were extremely happy with the paint job in our hallway, done by Precision Painting. We live in an NYC railroad apartment and have one long entry entry hallway and a shorter hallway around the corner that we wanted to get painted. We worked with Dave, who helped me make decisions about paint type and about what kind of job would work best for us, given our needs. Once we'd made a decision, they were able to get started immediately. Ultimately, we went with getting a very detailed paint/plastering job done (lots of patching work needed), rather than a skim coat. We had three people working on the hallway for two days, all of them friendly and polite. They painted our hallway gray and the ceiling white, as well as caulking around the areas where wall met doorframe, which were a little sloppy looking. They cleaned up well--a fair amount of dust drifted around the apartment as a result of the plastering work they'd done, but I'm not sure if that could have been avoided. After the painters left, I found that there was one little area on a door frame that they'd missed, and another area where I wanted a little revision to work already done. Without complaint, they returned right away to do it. And we're truly delighted with how our hallway now looks. We wanted it painted gray because we had a bunch of pictures we wanted to hang, which we did. We're still commenting on how different and how great the result is. Ideally, we'll be getting some other paint jobs done in our place, in future, and I'll definitely go back to Precision Painting to do the work.

My experience with Danny and the Precision Painting team was exceptional. My husband and I recently bought an older home that had very dated wall paper from the 60s. Danny and James were able to come in right away to give us a free in home estimate. After receiving estimates from a few other Angie's list contractors we decided to go with Precision because they were very prompt and gave us a fair price. The work included painting an entry foyer and hallway (and wall paper removal) open living/dining room area, kitchen (and wall paper removal), bathroom (wall paper removed), 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The work ended up taking 2 days longer than initially anticipated (8 days) because of the heavy prep work that was needed. But, Danny and his crew were very flexible with the schedule and managed every curve ball during the project with ease and professionalism. Because I have several contractors coming in the home for various projects I will need to have Danny and his team come back after some of the work is done (bathroom remodel, window installation) to complete the job. He was extremely accommodating and easy to work with and I would definitely hire them again!

Jason was very responsive from the get-go. He called very soon after I bought the deal to discuss the job and an approximate time for doing it as it was not to be done for awhile. I was painting so that I could put the house on the market in the Spring. He got in touch with me at the future designated time and came to see the areas to be painted. The painter, I believe his name was Mario, did an excellent job, was neat and polite and hard working. My only objection is that the fee is somewhat misleading because the fine print tells you that the paint is not included and that adds a significant amount to the overall price. Not having been charged extra in the past for paint, I did not know how expensive paint is. Otherwise, I was very please with everything and would call upon them again. In the future, I would ask for an estimate that includes the price of paint

They were very responsive and the quote experience was good. But their price was a little too high.

I received quotes from 5 vendors on angie's list based on a detailed description of the job, painting a 1750 sq ft 3 bed/2 bath apt, including all doors, closets and removing wall paper and skim coating 1 bedroom. The quotes varied from 3k to 15k. the 3k and 2 day quote came from PPP. I had just bought the apt so was in quite a rush. During the in home est, the price went up to $5,500 and 4-5 days. After the Angie's list discount of 10% and adding in the removal of some base moulding, we settled on $5k. I was a bit unhappy with the increase in cost from 3k to 5k, but they were able to fit me into my tight schedule and did a very professional job. They worked together coordinating schedules w/ another contractor which was helpful to me and they were very good about coming on the exact days I needed since i didn't have any time to spare. Overall, i was very happy with the quality of work and responsiveness and would def recommend using them

I don't know how this company gets so many positive reviews; either they have many Angies List accounts and make up reviews or i am the one outlier on the curve. Here's why I say this: there is no identifiable owner (the "Jason" listed on AL never returned calls) and the corporation is based in Astoria but lists various LI addresses - one of which is a private residence. At any rate, Dave from PPP prepared a professional looking proposal and we walked through the project twice before PPP began work. The job was well defined and clearly documented; I needed all exterior wood (except for 12 window frames) stripped and repainted before the weather turned. This was clearly well outside of their ability to deliver: it took 5 weeks for PPP to get to the point where most of the wood was stripped of old paint, some of the wood was properly sanded and prepped and most of the wood still had a long way to go before being ready for priming. The cold weather has since moved in and the job cannot be completed until next spring. During the first day, their workers left food debris overnight in my living room (Chinese food cartons, etc.). When I pointed out to the supervisor that this wasn't acceptable, one of the workers stepped up within my personal space and said, "This place is a mess, anyway. What's your problem." He was referring to construction debris and failed to see there is a difference between food debris and sawdust. This lack of consideration and attention to detail persisted throughout the job; they splattered primer on my brand new air-conditioning compressors, dripped chemical paint remover on the 90 year old brickface of the house, used unsafe methods for removing lead-containing paint and left paint debris all around my house, and sloppily stripped around the windows I am not replacing - which has now obligated me to fully strip these windows and repaint them. They also left huge bags of garbage at curbside for 3 days (until I pointed it out) - and this is in a private, historically landmarked community with strict rules prohibiting such things. Basically, PPP was a disaster. Of all the vendors I have been dealing with for a gut renovation, they are the only ones who caused me to lose sleep. In fairness, it was a very hard job and they did get a lot of the stripping done - but their lack of professionalism and inattention to detail, as well as the damage that they caused mitigate against anything positive they might have accomplished. They underestimated the job, didn't know how to do it right, "yes'd" me at every instance but failed to deliver, and were basically far out of their comfort zone. The greatest disappointment is that I hired them based on the AL reviews and the professional appearing pitch and contract. (BTW, they didn't apply the 10% coupon) Caveat emptor!

We have a second-floor rental apartment which hadn't been painted in several years. It also needed the usual cracks and plaster touch-ups most older buildings require. Precision Painting did a great job, at a fair price. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive but did deliver good VALUE for the cost. I say this because they didn't charge extra for all the light plaster spackle or the extra coats of paint needed to cover some walls correctly. Their guys were very pleasant and accommodating when asked to redo an area or touch-up a new spot. The work was clean (ie without drips) and edges were straight. They delivered a finished job on-time. Overall I was pleased and would use them again. The place looked great when they were finished!

unfortunately, since i imagine the job would have gone well if he'd done it, marc never got back to me. he did show up to give an estimate but never called again after leaving and saying he'd have it for me shortly. he did the estimate early in the week and so i expected i'd hear by friday. that weekend, the hurricane hit, so i didn't expect to hear from him right away, but i thought he might get back to me after things calmed down. (i didn't call him back myself because i want to know if someone is reliable before i hire them.) never did hear anything and ultimately hired someone else. UPDATE: i would have just deleted this review but couldn't figure out how to. after seeing my post here, marc did get back to me to let me to apologize and tell me that he'd give me an estimate if i wanted it. i didn't wind up using his services but would have been willing to give him another try, if i hadn't already found someone else.

Great guys! Purchased an Angie's List Deal and they were very responsive in squezzing me in and getting the job done within the alloted amount of time. Would use them again - deal or no deal!
