Precision Painting Plus

The communication was great so there were no surprises. Job was expertly completed in a day and a half. Trim was impeccably done and all cracks and holes were patched perfectly.

I recently rented a studio apartment in LIC. It's a small cute place, and I really wanted to make it my own so I decided to add an accent wall to give it some personality. I decided I was going to do it 3 days before I moved in but I was able to schedule the work to be done on the Sunday that I moved in. Normally they schedule a estimate, but because I had such a small project they were able to price it out on the phone. The guy was great. He arrived on time, worked fast and neat. The wall looks great and the apartment feels like home.

It went smoothly from start to finish. The men were pleasant and accommodating. Everything was returned to it's original position. I would not hesitate to use Precision Painting again

The team showed up on time and completed the job earlier than was expected which was great since I was at work on a Saturday. They did a great job painting and cleaned up after themselves really well. This is a pet peeve of mine because most people I have hired just leave a mess so that was really great that they cleaned up so well. I have hired Precision Painting three times now and look forward to our continued relationship.

I inherited an apt and wanted to renovate it to resell. I heard about Sean from a friend and told my designer that he needed to work with him on the paint scheme. Sean responded quickly and ensured that all the details were communicated to the designer and myself.

I did not want this company in my house. I told them never to call me again.

PPP was a pleasure for us to deal with during a considerably stressful time in our lives. We were trying to move into our new apartment asap. We were short on time after the seller to the apartment delayed the closing on us twice, and caused us to close 2 months later than planned. This threw off all our plans, including painting. Sean Cunningham from PPP responded to my online inquiry within minutes. After explaining to him that we needed an all over paint job before moving into the apartment asap, he quickly accommodated our schedule. He came by to give us an estimate quickly. He also was able to match an estimate we received from a competing painting company. Given how professional, responsive, and competitive Sean was, we felt comfortable choosing PPP for the paint job. PPP did a fantastic job overall, and came back to do touch ups on our request. Eddie the painter went beyond his call of duty and actually gave us money saving advice on a radiator cover we were having trouble with. We were originally planning on cutting a hole through the wooden cover, but given his experience he was able to advise us to try opening the latches from the inside to open the covers. We had no idea the inside latches existed, and the seller did not tell us that even after we inquired about accessing the radiator behind the radiator cover. They simply told us to cut a hole in the wood. So Eddie saved us money on a unnecessary job that would've made our radiator cover aesthetically inferior. We will definitely use PPP for any of our future painting needs, and recommend PPP to family and friends!

I had two rooms to be painted. The living room is not so big, so it wouldn't be long to paint the living room. The man who came to paint said that he only had an order for the living room and they quoted me $50 an additional hour, even when they hadn't started the work yet. I had wanted two rooms painted, and thought that would be sufficient for the 8 hours I paid for.

Eddie and his crew were terrific! They were professional, efficient and polite. They arrived on time and got to work right away. While his team started covering furniture and floors, Eddie went over the to do list with me to make sure nothing was missing from the order. The entire project went smoothly and quickly and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Working with Precision Painting has been one of the best hires I made. From the minute I reached out to the company, the service level has been exceptional. I received a call back immediately despite making an inquiry late in the evening, they had someone to my apartment the next day to provide a quote and have handled my job with absolute professionalism, diligence and care. The quote they provided was not only competitive and fair, but came in about 15-20% below others. They sent a team of 3 people who meticulously primed, painted, caulked for 5 days including over the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. About a month later when I needed a few areas touched up, Dave (who is beyond excellent) responded to my email right away and said he'd have someone back to my apartment whenever I was ready. I have an extremely high bar for any service provider and they exceeded my expectations. I have referred them to friends and colleagues and would be happy to serve as a reference to other potential clients.

Fantastic. Dave contacted me immediately after I purchased the deal on Angieslist. I gave him all the relevant details about the job and we set up a date and time for his partner Jesse to come paint. Jesse came today and just finished the job. He was punctual, totally professional, focused, skilled and entirely pleasant to be around. I will absolutely use Precision Painting Plus again for future painting.

The job went really well. The minute I saw Dave and the way he handled himself I knew I had the right contractor. He was professional, communicated very well with me and made obvious suggestion which I appreciate. His crew Pedro and Jose were professional painters and very thorough. The job was finished earlier than the estimated time however, quality was not compromised. They provided the paint for me which saved me lots of time and energy spent on other responsibilities. Overall, Happy, Happy, Happy!

They had to close the huge hole that the plumber had opened to replace the pipe, which was quite large. The closets, doors and windows as well as the baseboards, had to be done. The floors were in horrible shape. So bad, that the other company said that the hardwood floors might have to be replaced, as they were soaked. Alan apprised me that his men would be going in and also doing the floors. They are beautiful, from what my tenant said, and sent me pictures of. The job was professional, they cleaned up, just like before, and did a great job. The room never looked so good. The paint that I picked was used and Alan made sure it did not have an odor, due to my breathing problem. Even with me being upstairs, I never smelled the paint, and very little odor with the floors. Almost forgot the other company, doing water mitigation cut a big hole in the wall, which I was really concerned about. When I saw the pictures, I could not tell where the hole was, due to dry wall work, there and on the ceiling covering the pipe. due to the work performed by Precision Painting Plus.

Wow. I am so grateful that I found Dave and Precision Painting. My wife and I have always been career people, very focused on our work, especially since our children have gotten older. This caused us to lose focus on the maintenance of our house. At our children's urging we agreed it was time to make an investment in order to feel proud and comfortable in our home again. We first contacted Dave in December just before the Christmas Holidays. He came out to the house for an estimate appointment and we went over the whole job. I have to say, I thought I was prepared and that I knew exactly what I wanted, but as I walked through the house with him he kept catching details that I hadn't even thought of. I really appreciated how he never pushed me to add additional work. He just calmly explained the pros and the cons, and gave me his opinion where I would get the most value for my money. If he didn't think something would look good, he told me so. Dave took notes on everything, and said we would receive a quote by Monday since the appointment happened on a Friday. Sure enough on Monday I had a detailed quote in my inbox. Then... life got busy. Holidays happened. New Years happened. By the time January was almost over we still hadn't pulled the trigger. Dave had called twice to follow up. We explained we just had to let things settle down. Then the next thing we know, we have friends coming to stay with us and now we need to get the job done in a hurry. Dave said "no problem", and had his guys at our place first thing the next day. Dave's crew was phenomenal. On the first day they arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Carlos introduced himself as the foreman and explained that Dave would be by a little later, but they would start off by bringing in their stuff and preparing the room for work. Dave arrived at 9, we went through the whole project with Carlos and then they got to work. Carlos and his guys were excellent. Friendly, polite, professional, and good at what they do. They helped me move some of the bigger furniture and take down the curtains. They were so sweet to my wife and always worked around us when we were home. We felt completely comfortable leaving them alone with the house for the day. They locked everything up after each work day. They worked very clean, every step of the process the took the time to properly cover the floors and furniture and to seal off rooms to limit the dust. Our house had some bad spots. We had done many patch jobs over the years but had not had it professionally painted in years. One of the areas we had always avoided was the ceiling in our living room and dining room. It had been covered in "popcorn" forever, we always hated it but hadn't done anything about it because of how labor intensive it is to get rid of. Dave walked us through the skim coat process and the extra costs, but he assured us that this investment would help transform these rooms; and he was absolutely right. As my wife and I started to see the transformation to the house we got so excited and we started making some changes and adding on additional work. Dave calmly rolled with the punches. Every time we wanted to add something he would walk us through the estimated costs, talk to us about options and help us come to a decision. Dave brought so much more than just his painting expertise. He helped coordinate the entire project. He agreed to have his guys demolish a dividing wall for us that when gone completely changed our dining room. They installed a window and one door. Replaced a bunch of our molding. He even brought in his contacts to assist us with other projects including electrical, plumbing and wood flooring. I would never have thought that we could accomplish so much, but we did and it was because Dave made it happen. Even with all the additions, they got it all done; on time and with a level of quality that we could really be proud of. I can't properly express how grateful I am for this experience. I thought we were getting our house painted, but with Dave's help we got so much more done. We got our house back. And my family and I are so excited to enjoy it together. I cannot recommend Dave, his crew and Precision Painting enough.

Great customer service, totally professional!

The quote was considerably higher than the one I took. The quote was about $5200. They came as requested and on time. They provided a professional estimate. I am sure that they would have done a great job, but the estimate was too high. We just spoke and discussed what I needed. He gave me some recommendations. I would not consider using them again in the future only based on the price.

They did a very high quality of work and the apartment looks transformed. Dave and Alan were generally very helpful as we asked a lot of questions about colors and finishes, and they even helped to talk us out of a color that would not have gone well with our kitchen cabinets. The crew was late the first day, but traffic is bad in the area. I told them I needed them to finish in three days, they said they'd do it in two, then they finished in three. So I guess that's my only complaint, but it's minor since they did the job in the time I needed them to do it (which is how long I guessed it would take in the first place. The crew was very nice and professional and respectful. They worked so quietly I once entered the apartment and didn't realize they were there, and the foreman went over everything with me to make sure he had the right colors. Would definitely hire them again -- I felt confident from the beginning I would get a good result, and I did.

Love working with this company. They are helpful, friendly, and they are easy to work with. They are a little expensive but I think it's worth it for not having any problems on the backend. It was very smoothly and the guys were able to complete the project in 1 day (we thought it might take two to allow drying time). They also replaced our outlet covers. They do a meticulous job.

I give it a D in responsiveness, because I had to contact the owner several times before I got confirmation of the appt. When the painters did come, they were fast, neat, and professional.

The job was to paint the wrought iron which is white, and apply two coats. I liked his approach, though I thought the price that he gave me was a bit high, so I will continue looking around.

It was a complicated job and I was not present at all for it. I was away on vacation. They did all the colors correctly, repaired everything that needed work, moved the furniture without any breakage, and in fact did more than they contracted for. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone would be happy with their work, their professionalism, their pricing, and their helpfulness about any insecurity one feels when disrupting one's home.

Everyone I spoke with, especially, Alan, were very friendly. When I called for an estimate, Alan responded right away. Two painters would only quote by phone so I appreciated Alan seeing the job. I decided not to hire anyone who couldn't be bothered to see the cabinets. While I did have to call Alan for the estimate, once I did he emailed it right away. Precision was not the cheapest estimate but Alan sold me on his professionalism. He made recommendations that I appreciated and trusted. One painter had me call the cabinet makers and ask questions which annoyed the cabinet makers. I appreciated the fact that Alan was clearly knowledgeable. The first day the workers showed up early. That never happens in NYC. They were professional and worked all day with a short lunch break. I met Arial, who was in charge, and I liked him too. The first day the painters covered everything, including the crib and hardwood floors, didn't get paint on anything, etc... The second, and last day, it was just one painter. I was not as happy in the end, with the painter, but I was happy with the work, price, and overall professionalism of the company. When I expressed my concerns about the 2nd painter, Alan was very responsive and apologetic. The room itself looks beautiful. Thanks. I will hire your company again, in a year or so when we paint the rest of the apartment. As a person who has dealt with contractors on a gut renovation, I know that most workers don't show up on time, have no idea what they are doing, and don't finish. It was nice to find a company that followed through on what they said they would do. Thank you.

Dave Rave and his crew were amazing. From the first contact, Dave was knowledgeable, professional, and punctual. They had a great eye for design as well, and turned our one-bedroom apartment into an amazing home. We highly recommend them!
