Precision Painting Plus

Precision was professional and responsive throughout the entire process. At the beginning, there was a mishap with the first appointment for the estimate; however Precision made up for this with a substantial discount on their work. It made a huge difference because it allowed me to have other work completed that was badly needed. Alan Blanchard, Kenneth Samper, and the rest of the Precision team did an outstanding job of explaining options when it came to the work, whether it was the paint, stain on the windowsills, cracks in the ceiling/walls, etc. I felt like I understood a lot more about what was best, and Precision delivered the kind of work where I would want to hire them again. The fact that Precision is a large company was beneficial, too, because it allowed work to be scheduled on the weekend, and other times that might be difficult for other providers. Kenneth and Alan could bring pros to my apt as needed for the various steps. They never said "no" to my scheduling suggestions. I need that flexibility because my work requires it! Likewise, their estimates are done on PDFs, and they are thorough, which makes it a lot easier for a condo board to review and save for their records.

We could not be happier. Job was very involved: large living room and bedroom; good-sized kitchen; smallish bathroom and home office. Painting had not been done for nineteen years; wallpaper in kitchen and office predated our moving in and needed to be stripped; water damaged plaster in one corner of living room needed to be replaced; ceiling had falling plaster in spots and a tendency to bubble up when painted. Met with Sean for the estimate. Other painters had given us a minimum ten day time span for the job (one went as high as four weeks), could not begin until October, and would not move furniture. Sean estimated the work to take a minimum of five days up to seven, could begin work in early September, and said his crew would move and cover furniture once breakables were removed and would clean up afterward. He was thorough in his description of what work the job would entail, and it matched up with what other painters had told us.His estimate matched one other painter, and was anywhere from $5000 - $12000(!) under other painters. We were a little cautious about whether this job could get done in the seven days he stated, but decided to go with Precision. In the lead up to start of work, Sean kept in touch and communication was good. His communication with building management was prompt and thorough and he provided all documentation needed. Precision provides detailed forms for clients to provide room-by-room specs, and the resulting docs are clear about what work will be done. There was little-to-no additional communication needed when the paint crew arrived. The crew was headed up by Carlos, and was friendly, professional, and thorough. As promised, they were able to move and protect the furniture, and put it back in place after the job was completed. They cleaned up adequately and were careful with the furniture, no damage occurred. And, amazingly, they were able to complete the job in five days. This despite the fact that the ceiling and its tendency to bubble required several applications of plaster and a total of four coats of paint (with an additional charge for extra materials). There were a few small details that needed to be fixed -- for instance, some painted closet doors initially could not close properly -- but whatever problems were pointed out were fixed to our complete satisfaction. Overall, we are very pleased with the speed, professionalism, and quality of work. We're delighted to have chosen Precision Painting and would consider them again for future work.

We discussed the project and came to an immediate agreement. He alone sealed the deal. His professionalism and personality made my decision for me. A week later Freddie and his helper arrived and they were like Michelangelo working on the Sistine Chapel. Save yourself some time and call them today.

Precision did a fantastic job. Sean came first, gave the appraisal, suggested the best kind of paint for my needs, and oversaw the job. The work was performed by Jesse who is a super-skilled painter -- truly outstanding work, with complete clean-up. My place was painted and back in order in record time. Highly recommended! As soon as the rest of the place needs painting, I'm calling them again.

Jesse, the painter was very polite and pleasant, and professional in doing his work. He was very easy to work with. He did a great job painting my room.

Workers arrived on time. They were very careful in their prep and cleanup. Sean, our representative made sure everything was done quickly and correctly. As someone whose job entails quality control, I can be fussy. They did a good job, and touched up where I asked them to.

All good news. A little rough with possessions, ordered too much paint, but otherwise excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a co-op apartment in Queens, which means lots of rules and regs. Painters need to be insured and licensed in NYC. Some painters we called didn't call back for days. We contacted Precision based on other reviews I'd read. Alan, the company project manager,was terrific. He responded immediately and scheduled a meeting right away. I already had dozens of paint chips but Alan brought the entire line of Benjamin Moore paint chips. No one else we interviewed did that. We had an idea about the colors we wanted and Alan had some excellent suggestions. He has an educated and experienced color sense and together we worked out a color scheme for the entire apartment. A few days later he brought sample paint cans and painted swatches so we could have a better idea of how the colors would look. It took 5 full days to complete the job. The work was 99% neat and clean and they returned promptly to paint the fuse box cover they somehow left out. The results are fabulous and we're just thrilled. We highly recommend Precision Painting.

Do's decent paint job Dont's was over 1hour plus late disappeared once for 45 mins had to remind him to paint radiator forgot to take picture off wall and paint spot didn't take faceplate off light switch wouldnt put a second coat on ceiling left after 4 hours

job came out decent in the end, not 100% perfect but okay. communication and scheduling with them was very difficult. a few cancelations as well as a few times i was expecting them and they never showed.

The job went very well. Not including rain days the job took only two days more than estimated. The workers teamed up well. Each day I reviewed the work performed and overall, found few immaterial spots that needed to be touch up. The crew was very interested in my comments and reworked those small items immediately. The Board Members and other Unit Owners of the Condominium were very pleased with the completed work. The before and after pictures are testimony to the great job done. Many passerbys on the street stopped to watch the workers as they worked and commented on the great job.

Provider called at the last minute to make excuses for not showing up, as scheduled. They were overcharging, anyway, so I'd much rather secure someone more reasonable, professional, and reliable. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE.

I purchased services through the Big Deal. The provider called to schedule the date for service. I was not available for a few weeks and the provider and I agreed on a future date. I spoke with the project manager again about a week before the scheduled date to discuss the type of paint and the areas to be painted. The painter arrived on time and introduced himself. I showed him the areas to be painted. He placed drop cloths to protect the areas and began. He worked consistently. I had some questions which he easily answered. He cleaned up any stray marks. Very pleasant young man. I would use this company again.

I contacted them 2 years ago, the owner did a free estimate as promised. I have been trying to contact the owner for 3 weeks and he refused to come out so now I have to find another company to do some work.

It went very well... even better than expected! The crown moulding installation took three business days to complete and workmanship is terrific! Thanks to Denis, Pablo, and Jessie for doing such a wonderful job with the removal of the old moulding, installation of the new moulding, and the painting. We are extremely satisfied with the work. We especially want to thank Sean Cunningham for his outstanding coordination of all the work associated with this installation, and for providing me with the updates and suggestions to make the project completed to the satisfaction of me and my partner. It was horrible. I expect to just pay that Big Deal price. They sent me a contract, which I signed. Then they said I'd have to pay more. They sent me another contract with a higher price After the work was done, they sent me another bill with a higher amount. They asked me what I wanted to pay -- and I said that I wanted to pay the Big Deal price & we negotiated. They said that they weren't familiar with Angie's List process and wasn't making any money off of the Angie's List deal.

The cost of the service was between $700 and $800. I was at work when they did the service and it was a one day job but I know that my wife was very happy with it. They were professional and they were not messy at all. They cleaned up very well and did a very good job. I am still looking at the work that they did and it looks very good. They were also fairly priced.

They came to estimate a job for sheetrock and paint I was promised a estimate by the next day, that never happened. I called the company and was told that they would email the estimator and he would get back to me, that never happened A Waste of Time

Overall did a good job but painters had to return to complete part of job that they initially forgot.

They were really good and gave me a good, reasonable estimate. They did very good work. I had to leave the house because I was gone a lot and it was totally fine. My only complaint is that they got some spots of paint on my wood floor that I had to scrape off. They were fantastic and had the lowest estimate.

Precision Painting stepped in after my regular painter was unable to do the job and got it done in just 48 hours. Their work is excellent--molding and other details cut in very precisely, no drips or damage to floors or other surfaces. Sean, who took my order and worked with me throughout, was vaery pleasant and capable.

I had a bad time with them. They could not deal with the fibrous cement. I was not happy with the guy that they sent out to do the estimate. He came when he was supposed too and he was pleasant. He did not know what he was doing. I would not use them again.

It was incredibly easy for me to schedule a consultation and then book their services. I found them using a Google search and they were the most attentive company that I contacted. The consultation was informative and helpful. They actually recommended a color and finish that I had not thought of for the kitchen, but was much more satisfied with in the end. I thought their prices were reasonable, and I was extremely happy with the finished product. Not only did the paint job look great, but they left my house cleaner than it was before they came. I recommend their services and will definitely contact them when I am ready to work on other rooms in the house.

They are fantastic - worked with Sean Cunningham for about a month to schedule and assess everything. He was accessible, professional, honest about the estimate, friendly and just great. The actual painters were professional and responsible and did a great job on a tiny space. I have no doubt if we ended up doing the full apartment and the floors as originally planned we would have been just as happy. I would definitely use this company again, and highly recommend contacting Sean Cunningham specifically.

I have been meaning to paint my apartment since I moved in last month but I am a terrible painter and don't have the patience to work around the odd corners and angles and taping and ect ect. I researched companies with positive reviews and needed a site inspection done asap. Precision Painting Plus was the only one that could do an inspection immediately. The call was made on a Thursday evening. A site inspection scheduled for 8:00 am the following morning with Sean. He was on time and professional. I liked the estimate he gave, it was reasonable, fair and honest. I had the contract in my inbox by noon and the painters arrived the next morning ready to do it. No mess, no clean up on my part, no scratched floors or mishaps on the walls. They were quick and efficient. The job is done and it looks great.
