Precision Painting Plus

It went very well.There were 3 people here. They used dryers. There was a probblem with 1 of the areas, but they came back to patch it. They were very nice, competent and trustworthy. Expensive but cleaned up after themselves and also kept the floor clean. Told us what they were going to do and did it. Alan Blanchard, our project manager, gets an A as well!

He helped us solve a few unexpected issues responsibly and with an eye to our budget. Eddie and his crew did an excellent job painting--careful, attentive to detail, and neat. This was a large job in an old home and everyone involved went above and beyond to make it beautiful and stress free. I would highly recommend them.

What a fantastic experience I had with Precision. I had never used them before, but I'm very glad to have found them! Precision contacted me about a month after I purchased my "Angie's List Deal" to schedule a date to paint. The evening before the assigned day, I got a call from Alan to confirm the details of the job and discuss any questions I had about the work. Jesse, the painter, was punctual and arrived at the appointed time. He was polite and considerate and got straight to work. Paul, the Project Manager on the job, arrived shortly thereafter to make sure everything was in order. He answered all my questions, he seemed honest, and was a pleasure to deal with. Jesse painted the room (office) to my satisfaction. He was quiet, efficient yet skilled & detail-oriented. He was finished in under the 8 hours that was contracted. I had a gouge on my kitchen wall under my chair railing and he patched it up and repainted that entire area of wall...and he did a great job! He cleaned up his supplies quickly and thoroughly. In addition, he was a really nice guy! Paul, the Project Manager, followed up with a telephone call after Jesse had left to make sure that everything had gone well and that I was satisfied with the work. He even gave me a great decorating idea for my riser pipe! I would absolutely use Precision again in the future!

They did a great job. I had 2 men for 8 hours.They did bathroom, kitchen and bedroom paint. They did w in myat they were asked to do.

It was a great experience. Sean Cunningham, our sales contact, is a true professional - punctual, polite, honest, knowledgeable and sincere. The paint crew is a major step above the average; very neat, polite, courteous and exacting. They touched up issues before I could even comment on them. I would heartily recommend this company to anyone looking for an excellent result. This is a company that truly understands customer service and top quality.

They completed the job very soon after the consultation. The floors and painting was fantastic. Old terrible looking floors ended up looking brand new.

Alan was great to work with even through the snowstorm we experienced last week. Was able to turn around and schedule work in a very short period of time, and they made honest and fair recommendations like which colors I should avoid as well as what decisions (trim, sanding, etc) would deliver the most value for me. The work turned out great. I would absolutely work with these guys again.

Dealing with Sean, from the first e-mail through his walk-through for the estimate through the end of the job was easy and a pleasure - always felt like I had someone watching out for me. The original estimate was for painting only - I was going to prep the walls myself, including taking down the hideous old orange vinyl wallpaper. Unfortunately, on the very last two pieces (up high in a space with 12 foot ceilings), the ladder and I had an argument while I was up top. The ladder won. My prize was a broken foot and the inability to finish prepping the wall. No problem for Sean, he adjusted the estimate to include finishing the prep - at a very reasonable price. And when I saw the terrific job they did, it had me knocking my head against the freshly painted walls wondering why I didn't just let them do all of it in the first place (ah, hindsight - for the little bit extra, I'd still have two good feet.) Jesse, Carlos and the crew were great - really nice guys who worked quickly and efficiently. Due to building restrictions on the hours they were allowed to work, the two day job ended up needing part of a third day, which Sean managed to schedule consecutively with no muss, no fuss. Ultimately, I was really thrilled with the results. I can only say to anyone who gave them less than an A rating, I feel bad that you didn't have the extremely positive experience I had with Precision Painting but it must have been due to unusual circumstances and a total aberration from the norm. These guys are not only professional, polite, responsive and friendly, but they clearly take great pride in doing the best job possible and nothing seems to make them happier than seeing a client appreciate the excellent results. P.S Note that the price also included the cost of all paint and materials.

There seemed to be a miscommunication. I did not realize that I had my house number on my angle's list account and was expecting the company to call me on my cell phone. The deal said that I was guaranteed to get a call within two business days. I needed the service done right away for an event so I called them the first weekday after buying the deal to see if I could speed up the process of making an appointment. The main number told me that I could not make an appointment with them because a separate department handled the appointments for "Big Deals" so I left my cell phone number with the receptionist and was told that I would receive a call back shortly from the scheduling department. I did not hear back from them all week and got nervous that I would not get the job done in time so my husband and I ended up doing the paint job ourselves the weekend after buying the deal and I requested a refund for my big deal. I received a call today from a manager and he informed me that someone called me on my house phone four business days after we purchased the deal and left a message. I checked my answering machine and he was right. Someone did call me four business days on my house phone. It turns out I had my house number as my main contact number on the angle's list website, but the whole time I was expecting a call on my cell phone since that is the number I left with the receptionist I spoke to on their main number. However, in the end they are honoring my request for a refund and I updated my contact number on angle's list.

Sean Cunningham came and gave an estimate. He was by far the most understanding of the situation (this work was for my company and had a tight deadline for an important event), including the time needs, but also the scope of work. He patiently walked through each step with me and got me an estimate quickly. Eddie's team did the drywall repairs and painting. They were phenomenal. Not only did they complete the job in a single day (most other contractors estimated 1 week for the work) but they were clean, kind, professional and the place looked amazing. Eddie himself was excellent, detail-oriented and extremely kind. We've had a lot of crews working on our lobby in the last few weeks and he was definitely the highlight. Israel worked on the wallpapering, which was done overnight so I never met him. There was a small hiccup because of the cold weather and poor heating in the space (completely not the fault of PPP) but Sean worked with Israel to get it repaired the very next day and it now looks perfect. Highly recommend PPP- especially Eddie's crew if you have any painting/drywall needs.

It went great. I am very happy with their work. The only problem was that they put my coffee table on my couch which could've left a dent, but luckily it didn't. Also, I never confirmed my address with Alan, and he sent the painters to the address I have listed on Angie's List. I take equal blame for that and we got it cleared up in no time. Also, I told Alan the colors I wanted and how I wanted eggshell. He gave me several reasons why matte paint is the best, (he said it's the easiest to touch up) but I insisted on eggshell. He was accommodating. The painters were lovely and I am very happy with their work.

It worked! The closed in porch formerly known as THE ICE BOX and home to frozen pipes and a strong north wind is gone. In September we hired Precision Painting Plus to completely rebuild the closed in porch; transforming it into a room. They demoed what was there and built a fully insulated room and connected bath. New walls, vinyl siding, window, doors and flooring ? plus of course paint. They also painted the exterior of our house. Their work is of the highest quality. Now the down side; prepare to be your own project manager; we sent them the windows #type/brand and flooring the day we signed the contract and were told they were unavailable- not true @ Home Depot and repeatedly ?if we order them they won?t get here on time.? Not true, however and here is the other issue the original time estimate was 12 days. It took almost 30. Not because of changes in the scope. No, because they got new ?small? jobs from people in our neighborhood (Bay Ridge) so they stopped our work to pick up this opportunistic money. Luckily for all our sanity and the final project Ken ? the contractor got it all together and it was well worth the effort. I recommend them.

They were very responsive and cooperative. They seemed to be very flexible with my needs. The price seemed reasonable for the job.

With the professionalism and knowledge of the salesperson, sean Cunningham, I thought this job would go well. We were under a very tight schedule which is why I chose to use this firm to do both the painting and the floors even though I paid about $1000 more than I should have. I was closing on my co-op and moving in 6 working days later. Evan though promises were made, on the day after my closing they did not show up for work. No problem I was told. They could get the work done. On the Monday of the following week, they decided to paint first before doing the floors. This seemed opposite of what should have happened and it proved true. I will explain later. The painters, though two hours late while I waited, did manage to get the work done, except they only painted the walls of the closets and not the shelves. The next day the floor people arrived 2 and 1/2 hours late. This is a co-op and they need to leave the building by 5 PM. So they I am sure they cut corners. The following day, the floor people came on their own and I stopped by as they were applying the polyurethane. Whether we got three coats or not, I do not know even though I paid for a third coat. However, the floor crew stained the floor and marked up the freshly painted molding as well. So on the only free day before we moved in, now painters arrived for touch up or to finish the closets. On moving day, 4 hours late, a painter and a supervisor arrived to do the touch up work amidst the movers and furniture. I would not recommend this company at all.

It went great! Jesse was the one who did the painting and he was excellent.

The full apartment repainting was well done considering the rush. There were a few places where previous tenants had painted over beautiful wood that we wanted exposed. The painters did a great job of removing that. There was one misunderstanding about painting ceiling panels, which made access to above-ceiling AC units impossible. But to their GREAT credit, Precision (Eddie the painter and Alan Blanchard, the sales rep) remedied the situation at no additional cost, even though it was probably a lot of trouble. The second job, much smaller, was also quickly and professionally completed, the space left in neat condition, after. There were a very few tiny specks of paint on the hardwood floor, afterwards, but nothing that wasn't easily removed with just a fingernail. Overall, the process is, as other reviewers have mentioned, very professional and very streamlined. Alan Blanchard, our sales rep, was a true pleasure to work with. He was completely on the ball and responsive whenever we needed him to be. He offered great guidance when choosing paint for a variety of spaces. We felt comfortable leaving Eddie and his colleagues unsupervised in both the empty tenants' apartment and an occupied apartment. Everyone proved trustworthy. Prices are fine -- neither the least expensive nor the most expensive you'll find in NYC. We will not hesitate to use Precision Painting Plus again.

From start to finish, working with Precision Painting was a pleasure. Their process is streamlined, organized and professional. Their price was also competitive. I rated them slightly lower on quality given that there was some minor sloppiness in the paint job (splatters on the metal cord to the window shade and areas higher up in the room where the coat could have been a little thicker) and I have previously hired painters who have done a better job in terms of quality. Those painters also charged substantially more for their service though and used much more paint! Given the combination of price and quality, Precision Painting was great value and I would certainly use them again.

Additionally-Matt Z who was the sales person and Matt S who was the quality control manager and finally Allan who provided me with the proper colors. In view of the fact that the home was built in 1907 the job was super. The interior looks like a new house.
