Precision Painting Plus

These guys are really professional, and did an amazing job. Their customer service is impeccable, and they are truly a pleasure to work with. We had an important paint job that we needed done on a very time limited basis, as the New York Times real estate section was about to do a piece on our apartment. They responded and set up an appointment in record time on the exact day we needed it and with very little notice to them - and they brought everything they needed. In addition to painting the apartment, they patched up a fairly shoddy looking job that was done by another contractor by caulking up the seams in the walls, and the paint job was perfect. Their flexibility, professionalism, prices, and services are unsurpassed. Thanks again for such a great job!

I bought the deal for 2 painters for 1 day for $599. They said the next available appointment was in 3 weeks so I waited. On the scheduled day they did not call, they did not show up and they did not return 2 phone calls. I wasted 3 weeks waiting for these clowns for nothing. Now I have to get a refund too. Horrible!!!!!

I reached out to Precision Painting based on their high ratings on yelp. They sent a very friendly service rep out to my condo to give me an estimate, and he provided one to me the same day with the offer of a special discount if we decided to schedule with them within the next day. Precision's price was very fair and they were able to come out and begin the job that same week. My building requires a COI and they were able to provide that with no problem. The painter did an amazing job - I was surprised how great it all turned out (no marks on the trim, no brushmarks, etc.) because he worked so fast - two coats of paint in the kitchen, living room, dining room, hallways and bedrooms took less than two full work days. I ended up hating the color that I had originally chosen for the walls after they finished the first coat of paint (completely my fault) so they worked with me to find a better color and repaint to my liking without charging me for another whole job. They did such a good job that I called them to come back and paint a new built-in bookshelf unit that we had installed later on, and they exceeded my expectations again with that job. I would definitely hire them again for any painting needs that we have and strongly recommend this company. I was pregnant when we worked together and they sent over a very thoughtful baby gift after I had the baby - above and beyond customer service!

They were very clean, very neat, they were great.

Had estimator come to visit, but i never got any emailed estimate. I called back twice in following week with customer service, but they never cleared things up. This apparently will not happen in future with new manager I was told much later, but I wasted my time.

Keep in mind that depending n the size of your job the 8hrs may not even be a factor. In my case the job was completed in 5 hours due on the first day and i needed them to come out 2 more times since on the first day you need to wait for it to dry.

It was very good. The workers cleaned up after themselves. They were professional and very easy to reach. They also gave me a 10% discount for Angie's List members which was our deciding factor for using them.

Jason was incredible. I had a deadline for the painting of my dad condo and he worked around his schedule to make it happen. He was great a keeping me update and was responsive to all my questions. This is a wonderful company and Jason is a outstanding person.

professional, straight-forward, no-more/no-less

The paint job itself was great. We have a tricky space - very old apartment with uneven walls and lots of cracks. They did a great job and we are very happy with the painting. Scheduling the job was a bit of a pain though. They canceled the night before they were going to show up after we had moved furniture and arranged for our dog to be boarded. We made it work with the alternate day but it added stress to the process. But at the end of the day we are very pleased with the paint job and would use them again.

I had many remolding experiences the past few years, 2 houses, kitchens , bathrooms, etc... By far, This was the best and hassle free experience. Sean Cunningham, the project manager and Chris Cherry, the on site supervisor were there everyday to make sure everything went seamlessly. They provided exceptional services and able and willing to accommodate all changes as we increased the scope of our project. We initially only wanted the rooms to be painted. We were so happy with their work, we ending up installing new floor and new base moldings. We are extremely gracious that Sean and Chris were able to exceed our expectations and put up with our somewhat unreasonable demands and extremely aggressive timeline. Here are key positive items: 1- They deal with our condo management to get necessary approvals. 2- reasonable price / very competitive 3- extremely high quality wool, the floor is beautiful, wall painted perfectly. 4- Sean and Chris were very pleasant to work with and very responsive 5- on time completion and deliver everything as promised 6- most important -- they care!!! I would recommend precision paint plus, again and again. Sean, Chris, thank you....

The painter, Jose, arrived exactly on time. He worked diligently all day and completed the job. The results are excellent - he did a careful job, did not make a mess and cleaned up at the end. He was personable and hardworking. I was very pleased and would hire this company again. Please note - I did my part to be ready for the painter - I moved the furniture myself and since this was only a color change, my walls were already in smooth condition, there were not a lot of repairs or spackling to be done. I mention this as people ought to bear in mind that if they want a painter to paint and to be careful, attending to the prep work yourself is a good idea.

Went great! Will certainly use them again. Did a great job with painting the walls and also painted the kitchen cabinets. Wallpaper looks great also! Highly recommended.

They were very nice and professional, although they had to change the appointment twice due to conflicts. Still, they did a great job and I'm going to use them again soon to paint my bathroom, doors and window rims, and some walls. What i liked most is that they didn't get paint on my floor or furniture. They were very respectful and cautious with making sure they didn't cause any damage.

Amazing. Very responsive and professional. Their team knocked out the work in 3 days and it looked amazing. I feel confident in the work they did and am impressed with the quality.

Precision Painting Plus did not show up or bother to call me. UPDATE FROM MY REVIEW YESTERDAY: Alan called me today and apologized for not calling me yesterday and explained that there was a miscommunication of him not receiving e-mail of appointment he had with me. He told me that he was in the area and that if he could still pass by. I figured since he apologized and I was still home I told him yes, come by. When he showed up, again he apologized and was very sincere. I'm glad that I gave him a second chance. He gave me a good estimate and a discount for the miscommunication yesterday. I will keep you posted when they show up and perform project. Update on 5/19/2015: I guess that I was right from my first review. Precision Painting has not responded to me after signing contract to do job. It's been almost 3 weeks and still waiting for their response to set up a date. I guess since my job is not that big that they put me at the bottom. I given up and started looking for another company to do job.

Matt visited this winter and gave us an estimate, and we just had to wait for all the snow to melt before they could get started. We had the start date a couple of weeks in advance, and the crew started on time and finished in the estimated number of work days, with a few rain delays. They showed up on time every day, protected plants and patio from paint, and most importantly they did a fabulous job. The house and fence look fantastic. One note - that picket fence has become legendary in my family and in the neighborhood. I've been working on it for the entire 10 years it's been installed, one section at a time, being halted by the weather, waiting for repaired sections to cure, starting again the next spring... it's been crazy, and the fence has NEVER been completely white in the entire 10 years. This is the first time it's all painted, all perfect, and I couldn't be happier. We've used a different painter in the past, and we like them, but their quote to do this job was breathtakingly expensive. We hesitated to go with an unknown, but the price was right and all the reviews were good, so we held our breath and took a chance. We're glad we did - they did a great job. Extremely happy with the work, the communication, the followup - a good experience overall. Would recommend them to anyone.

The Precision Painting team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Alan, who did our on-site estimate, was punctual and professional. He had knowledgeable suggestions for our damaged ceiling, as well as paint colors and finishes. Precision assigns a project manager to each job, and Alex managed ours. He arrived with the painting crew on the first day and did a full walk-through to be sure that his understanding of what we wanted was clear. He also did a closing walk through at the end of the job and was very thorough in spotting minor issues (a few drips, a corner that could use a touch-up) that needed to be addressed. Finally, and most importantly, the painting crew did an excellent job. We had Eddie's crew, with Junior as our lead painter. Their work was careful and precise. Walls were very well repaired before painting, and the paint was applied neatly - no drips or smudges of one color over another. They removed our blinds and faceplates, moved our furniture and electronics, covered everything in plastic, and put it all back when they were finished. Both days they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again!

It turned out to be to cost me more money that I had anticipated. They painted one room interior. If I had the time I would have done t myself. They are really great to deal with, They email you and you can pick the colors online but they are too expensive and at end the quality is not A+.

My overall experience with Precision Painting Plus was excellent! When I first came upon PPP on Angie's List, I called immediately to set up a consultation. The operator was very professional, letting me know who would be coming to do the consultation. I even received an email with a picture which definitely made me feel more safe. Alan Blanchard arrived a few minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment and even called to say he was on his way. As we went through the consultation, we gave our color palette and Alan gave suggestions as to what would look good where. I trusted his judgment, I'm no professional lol. He gave us an estimate and we left our deposit. After he left, we were extremely satisfied and looking forward to getting the job started. I received an email 2 days later with the contract clearly stating what we discussed. I received an additional email to complete the color template form. I was then contacted by Alex, one of the project managers to set a date and time for the job. Very professional once again! On the day of the job, the 3 man crew arrived bright and early to complete the job. Alex, the project manager came at the beginning of the job and at the end of the job as well!! They were efficient and even pointed out some possible problem areas for my approval. They moved and covered everything and even put everything back when the job was complete. Thanks Junior and crew! We were so happy with the job. The only downside was that the wait between the consultation and process was a bit long. I guess my excitement got the better of me. Other than that, I had no complaints.

I was very satisfied with the work of Precision Painting Plus. I worked with Alan on an estimate for the job and he was very helpful with coming to a price that was suitable for my budget. While other painting companies I contacted estimated the job to take several days, Precision promised they could complete the job in one day, which was very convenient. On the day of the job, Alex, the project manager, couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. He was very professional and made sure that no detail of the work went overlooked. He promised that if I noticed something a day or two later, he would promptly be back to correct it. His crew, with Eddie at the helm, did a great job of bringing a once dingy apartment back to life. It was a smooth, efficient and economical experience overall.

We did not have a good experience. We had to contact them several times to get the job done. They weren't sure what they were doing. They said they were going to bring a ladder and they didn't. They finally came through but it wasn't without much hand holding. They did finish the job. The manager was here the last day and they finished up. They didn't do a lot of things they said they were going to do and they didn't. They didn't bring a ladder, they didn't pick up some of the items and then they were very sloppy on the job.
