Precision Painting Plus

It went very well. Evan, the project manager was excellent! Pleasant, knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the project. He recommended ideas like what type of paint goes where & choosing the right colors the would fit my style. Junior, the foreman and his team did a superb job! He answered my many questions, was very professional and polite. The colors I chose were more beautiful than I thought it would be. They painted 3 rooms (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom), small dining area and a hallway. The job took two days, which was very good and they left my co-op very clean. I love, love, love my newly painted home!! Highly recommend this company!

Ken was amazing. He saw that we experienced shoddy work in the past by the people we hired, so he brought TWO skim coaters for the day instead of one for the same price. This is the kind of customer service that separates precision from the others. Use Precision if you want the job done right the first time.

It went wonderfully! Ido Dotan, the project manager, came to my house to look everything over and to get the feel of what I wanted. That was an amazing plus. He didn't just send painters, he wanted to see my vision. He is so patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He kept in constant touch with me even before the job was started. Santiago, Nino and Edwin arrived on time each day of the project (and it WAS a project). But it only took two days to transform my old kitchen and dinette into my dream rooms. They worked very hard and were so pleasant! They protected everything even the stairs. These men are artists! I've wanted a brick wall in my kitchen for years but was leery to trust anyone to do this It came out awesome! I am so happy! Ido knew the best men to do each job, and it wasn't easy. I want to thank you Precision Plus for the amazing people that you employ. I have several other projects for you!

First of all Ido Dotan was my go between and had the patience to listen and to learn the look I wanted which was not the norm. I wanted a vintage look for my kitchen and dinette. He got it! Ido is so friendly and knowledgeable. It's the first time I really connected with someone doing work in my house. . He sent Santiago, Nino and Edwin to do the work. Let me tell you these guys are ARTISTS. Really! They covered everything including the floor and stairs. They were neat, cleaned up and were so pleasant! They did a beautiful job and I couldn't be happier! I have more projects and I will only call Precision Plus! Thank you!!!

Sean the estimator estimator came to my apartment to quote a price.Then dealt with Chris who got all the paperwork together for my building which is a co-op. Two wonderful painters arrived on the appointed date. They covered everything in the apartment with drop cloths, paper and plastic(an entire large wall unit) was encased in plastic from top to bottom. The paint job is perfect. After they were finished, they vacuumed, put art work back on walls and furniture back in place. If you want a hassle free job, look no further. This company is excellently They also call you back in a very timely fashion.

We had a couple of problems but everything got resolved. The job is finished but there are some problems popping up now that I'm gonna have to get back to them on. Some cracks and stuff are opening up on the walls. They came back and took care of the punch list and all of that but since that time, some things are popping up. I'm making up a list and this way, I'm gonna give them a call and see what happens. It's minor stuff.

This was a big deal for 8 hours using one worker to smooth the walls in a bedroom and patch the ceiling. First an estimator came to see if the work could be completed in the time frame of 8 hours. Then a foreman called to say what supplies we would need to purchase to get the job done. We opted to let them buy the supplies and paid them for the supplies rather than risking buying the wrong supplies. The worker was on time. He did a good job but when there was an issue, we could not communicate as the worker spoke no English. At the end of the job the foreman sent another worker over to translate . The work was completed to everyone's satisfaction.

II would say that I was satisfied with the job Precision did, minus a few things as detailed below. I need to mention that I am not on site, and so I had to co-ordinate this remotely. I have a local caretaker and a very helpful neighbor for the apartment who were able to keep a watch and oversee the job. Pros: - Most important -- paint job was done well. The apartment looks new again! - Very responsive to give an accurate estimate. They scheduled to look at the job quickly and were able to give me a quick estimate that was accurate and complete. - Were helpful and accommodating in scheduling. At first, I was going to have the work done right away and wanted it completed quickly. Precision was great about getting in touch to try and accommodate my tight schedule. In the end, I had to hold off for about a month, which they were very understanding about. - Finished the job ahead of schedule. They had estimated that the job would take about two weeks. They brought in a big crew and finished within a week. Con: - They left the apartment messier than I would have expected. They left a mess in the sinks and some places where I would have expected would have been cleaned after the job was completed (not basic cleaning, which I had expected needed to be done). The took down curtains and didn't rehang them, moved furniture and didn't replace, etc. (I should mention that the apartment is about 85% empty, so putting things back in order was a relatively small chore.) If I had been on-site, I would have asked that they do this before they left. I spoke to the supervisor of the job shortly after the crew left and he offered to come back and clean up above mentioned mess after the job was completed. Short of it is that I finally just had the place cleaned by someone else instead of waiting any longer. If I was on site and could manage the job a little more closely, I would possibly hire again, but would likely not hire again given my circumstances.

This is my second time using Precision Painting and they were again excellent. Alex came after work and gave me a fair estimate for the work I needed done. His team, Kiko and Memo, were professional, quick and efficient (and very nice guys). They had come primarily to fix a large hole in the wall that a plumber had to cut to fix a leak. They did that perfectly and actually ended up going above and beyond in several respects. First they noticed the wall was still a bit wet from the prior leak and, no questions asked, said that I should wait a few weeks to finish the job. When everything was dry they promptly came back with no questions asked (and Alex made sure to have his time there literally the minute I requested--which was a Saturday at 8am). Second, they noticed that there were some unrelated matters in the area they were working on and made sure to not only point them out to me so that I could address them before they became an issue, but also to spend the time with me to actually help figure out what was going on. Because of them, a small issue did not become a larger one. In sum, I continue to highly recommend this company and will use them for all my painting needs.

Precision quoted me a higher price than another painter I considered, but for the money, I received some excellent service. Everyone I worked with (Alan, the estimator; Ido, the project manager; and Edwin, the painter) was courteous, prompt, professional and quick to respond to emails and texts. The crew also did a good job cleaning up after themselves, which I really appreciated. Reliable, friendly service throughout. As for quality, the original job was good, but not perfect. But, Precision will happily send a painter back to do touchups. I actually called Edwin back twice and both he and Ido, the project manager, were gracious about it each time. If you decide to use Precision, don?t be shy about following up to point out small things that you think need fixing. They will be happy to come back, and you will get better results that way. In short, I?m happy with the finished product, and plan to call Precision again for my next painting project.

They did a wonderful job!! I would use again

My wife and I highly recommend Precision Painting. Of all of the painting contractors we contacted for assistance in painting our newly purchased home, Precision was the most professional. Matt, the job estimator, patiently worked with us to develop a final paint job order which evolved over time as work being done by other contractors (i.e., electrical, kitchen) required use to revise our plans. In executing the job order, Precision came in force with a team of at least six painters. The paint job which, in addition to painting, entailed the repair of the walls demolished by the electrical contractor and skim coating of other aging, cracked walls, took about five days (including one Saturday) to complete. The painters worked under the supervision of Evan, the project manager, who remained in regular contact with me throughout the paint job and was attentive to our requests that certain items be repainted. At the end of the process, we received a beautiful, new home interior. During the course of the paint job, the painters inadvertently discarded ten window blinds which my wife and I removed from the windows to assist with the painting and thought we secured by placing in the middle of each room. Precision replaced the blinds at its cost. In light of this experience, when hiring this provider, we recommend you put in writing any special concern you may have which for whatever reason does not get included in the final paint job order.

Provider was prompt and professional. Additionally, provider was careful not to damage existing home items. All work was done in an timely manner and cleanup was performed in a ideal way. When work supervisor arrived he detailed work to be preformed and we coordinated our efforts so work would be completed in a efficient manner. Finally, this was done under a Angie's List sale promotion with me providing a high quality paint. When you consider this vendor expect good work.

They came in on a Saturday and Sunday, and really did a great job! They were efficient, professional, and they did a wonderful job with our crown molding.

Updated 12/17/15: My review below stands, but, it is worth noting that after writing both this review and a negative review on their internal questionnaire, Precision called me, apologized for the trouble I went through, told me that they had had trouble with the individual foreman and had fired him, and refunded part of my job. I still went through too much trouble to hire them again, but, this follow-up is encouraging for others. Original Review: Ordering was great. Price was fair. Crew was prompt. It was all downhill from there. PM didn't communicate the project very well with the crew. The crew left the place a mess. There were large swatches of trim that were entirely unpainted! On top of that, they did a poor job protecting our furniture and built ins. There was splatter on our custom millwork, all over our kitchen, on our floors, on our furniture, and all over our new windows. I wish I could post the photos of what we found when we came home the first time. A window with a 2" x 12" streak of paint on the glass. A countertop with a 1" glob of paint in the middle. How do you miss that in cleanup? We called the crew back 3 times to fix mistakes. Each time we got progressively more specific about what we wanted them to do, because, they were unable or unwilling to put in the effort to get the job done. I wish I could say "get the job done right" but, "right" was never even in question. You don't recover from the drip lines in the trim and poor edge work at every transition. You just attempt to triage the project to acceptable. Even after 3 times back, they had missed stuff. The only reason we didn't call them back the 4th was because we were sick of living in the unfinished house and so did the final work ourselves. My wife and I ended up spending an entire Sunday cleaning up paint from our floors and kitchen and touching up missing areas. I had to paint a window trim area that we paid to have "2 coats" applied to, that never even got 1 coat. This despite having pointed it out to the crew explicitly, going so far as to put a post-it note on the area labeled "paint me". Safe to say, we would not recommend this company. I am shocked the reviews on angie's list are as good as they are.

In a nutshell, the service from Precision Painting Plus was excellent. I worked with Ken Sanford, one of Precision's estimator and project managers. He was responsive and pleasant to deal with on the phone to schedule the job and executed the work flawlessly. My wife and I moved into a new apartment and we had Ken and his team paint the apartment prior to our move-in date. We found a discount coupon for Precision on Angie's List and used that special rate, but I was skeptical that the crew would be able to complete everything on time given how much painting was required. The team did a great job and showed up promptly on the scheduled date. My wife went to check in on the job midday to gauge the progress and while expecting to find things well-advanced, she was surprisingly thrilled to see that the job was completely finished and the workers were already gone!! I would definitely recommend Ken and his team for jobs in the future...A-1 job from start to finish.

The painting job that Precision Painting Plus did was amazing thanks to Roberto a master painter. He cleaned up every day, did a very neat job and was extremely helpful with moving things. My peeling ceiling after skim coating is now flawless. The project took a week. I am a disabled senior and Precision walked me through everything. Sean Cunningham (estimator) who was my first contact was incredible. I continually asked questions by phone and e-mail and his expertise was fabulous. He always called back or e-mailed me in a very timely and patient fashion and if I had any communication with Chris (project manager) he would assist right away. All necessary papers for my coop were complete and faxed in on time. They were an excellent team of caring,sweet, professional, knowledgeable and efficient people. Precision is lucky to have such a great team.

This project went seamlessly from start to finish. Sean came to complete the initial estimate and was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. We received numerous quotes and Precision Painting was not the least expensive but there professionalism, expertise and superior customer service is why we ended up going with this company. The small amount of additional money was completely worth it. Sean was able to accommodate our tight timeline and after signing a contract on Thursday we had a date confirmed for the following Tuesday for work to commence. We were assigned a Project Manager (Chris) who was great to work with. When we came to him in the eleventh hour in need of insurance documentation, etc. for our co-op he delivered. Additionally, we made a last minute decision to use Farrow and Ball which was accommodated by the team without any pushback. We had our initial walk through with Carlos who was the best! We left the apartment feeling completely comfortable that the work would be top notch and our apartment was in good hands. We are so happy with the end result. Sean,Chris, Carlos - you all are a dream team! Can't wait to have you all back to restore our hardwood floors.

To begin, scheduling my painting session required multiple phone calls and emails over more than a week. My painter showed up late, which wasn't that big of a deal, but then told me that he was going to start painting an hour later at 10:30. Uh, what? When I got home around 4, he was already gone. The room was painted, but there were 2 large scuff marks in the hallway from where he had dragged a dresser. Also, the can of white paint that I had purchased for the wall trim was mysteriously missing--almost an entire can of paint was taken. The project manager came by to check the scuffs, and suggested that they could be removed by a Magic Eraser. He had no idea what happened to my white paint. My housekeeper attempted to buff out the scuffs, but to no avail. I mopped the floor to see if that removed the scuffs, but they still remain. Now, my entryway floor has two white scuffs on the floor.

With a hectic schedule and recent knee surgeries, I was looking for someone to paint my studio apartment. Precision Painting exceeded my expectations. A visit from one staff member to view the space and suggest the type and amount of paint to order was followed by an email suggesting a day and time for the job. The day was confirmed and, as advertised, the painter, Steve, showed up on time, brought a ladder and drop cloths, confirmed the extent of the job and went to work. I had meetings for most of the day, so didn't get back till the job was almost complete. Terrific results! Have been meaning to have this job done for months now and had no idea how one request could accomplish so much, so well in so little time.

Great service. Called me back right away and was able to schedule the next week. Did a great job especially since there was water damage on ceiling and walls. Prompt, professional and did a great job! Would definitely hire them again.

I could not be happier with the service provided so far by Precision Painting (and specifically Ken, Alex (who was our foreman) and their amazing team of painters). From the outset, Ken gave us a fair price (based on 4 estimates that I received) to paint the entire interior of our house. Subsequently we decided that we needed some work done to replace some rotten fascia board and trim on the exterior of our house and Ken arranged for everything at a similarly fair price. Ken and Alex were very helpful in helping us choose colors and Alex even came by a few nights before the job started (at 8pm) to put paint samples up on the wall so we could have time to think about what color would look best. Our timing for the job was a bit tight as we only had two weeks between closing on our house and when we moved in to finish the whole job. Alex and his team showed up exactly as planned and worked late and through the weekend to make sure that the house was finished not only on time but five days early. Despite the fact that we were not living in the house, Alex regularly kept in touch with me and made sure everything went smoothly. The painting and exterior work came out great and hour house looks beautiful. Some very minor last details on the job are still being finalized, but to date we are very happy with the choice we made in painting companies and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

This whole experience was faultless, from beginning to end. The company was responsive, they were able to schedule the work at my convenience, they were professional every step of the way, and the estimate they gave me was very reasonable. Edwin was the gentleman who actually came to do the work, and he's the nicest workman I've ever had to my apartment to make improvements. His work was impeccable, and he was even able to fix a few small things for me (fix a doorknob, hang some hooks) that weren't in the original estimate. Precision Painting Plus will now be my default home improvement provider.
