I could not be more impressed by the professionalism, the quality, the price and especially the service. DO NOT even bother considering anyone else. They were so friendly, knowledgeable and good at what they do. I assumed the cost would be much more than I paid. They finished all work in one day, even handling dealing with the water dept to have a separate meter installed, all while I was at work. Then they came back at night after I got home from work to explain things to me. Then they came again the next day to make sure everything was getting proper coverage during the day. Then set up all the timers for me, and they already called back to say they're coming again in a week to check on it all. The service is really great, and I thought I'd pay much more than I did considering how much yard and how many zones I needed. Very very satisfied. Thanks,

First off, let me say I don't really remember what the cost was - I THINK it was about $3K for a small lot, around 60' x 90' if I remember the lot size correctly. So, take the above cost with a grain of salt! They came on schedule, and did the front, side, back, and other side yard all in one day. They needed to access inside the house to attach an additional water pipe, and a control unit. The rest of the work was outside. They install additional pipes outside the house, leading to a green plastic box installed flush in the ground. It contains all the lines going out to different areas, and controls each line. They have a nifty machine that slices the lawn, lays the piping, and flattens it out again all in one operation. Unfortunately, it was too large to go through my side gates, so they had to do the side and back yards by hand. All pipes run out from the control box, go to the front, several go around the first side yard, and from there continue to the back yard and gardens and the far side yard. There are basically 2 kinds of sprinklers: flat ones that pop up and go down flush to the ground, and elevated ones that are about a foot or so tall for garden areas (something I did not know before). After installation, they tested all 6 zones. Each zone waters an area for a certain time, then the next zone, etc. They set the automatic control box in my basement, showed me basically how it operates, and provided a manual for it. They were even aware that in my area, watering for my house number was odd-numbered days only, and set the controls for that. They also installed a rain monitor.... no sense watering during a rain storm! Only one thing disappointed me: I had asked the workman to provide me a chart showing approximately where the piping was installed; he agreed, but forgot. And no one else in subsequent maintenance visits was able to do so. I didn't make my own while they were installing it, because, while the workers were polite enough, I felt uncomfortable enough around them that I didn't stay outside while they worked - felt I would have been in the way.... But, it seems to have been an excellent installation, and my grass was very happy about it! One caveat: one maintenance worker who came at a later date to check the operation of all the zones accidentally left the control unit in the 'Off' position. Not reallzing that, my lawn suffered for a month until another worker came out and noticed that. But the lawn has recovered since, and no permanent harm done. But I do know now to watch the first watering period after maintenance to see if it is working; and to check the control box. I like the company, and can recommend them.

I've held off on writing this for months because I didn't want to badmouth a business that had so many good reviews. I hired them because of the reviews here. But every contact I've had with this company has turned out terribly. They installed sprinklers for me in June. Things worked fine for a few days, then quit working. Mario came back and said the outlet had tripped, he reset it, and left. Things were okay again for a few days, then it again stopped working. I hit the "reset" switch but nothing happened. He said he would hook it up inside instead. I thought that meant he was going to move the timer into my garage, which was the other possibility we had discussed from the beginning. I was inside working at the time, and he came in to tell me that everything was fine now. After he left, I went outside to run a test cycle (which didn't work... he hadn't tested it), and found something insane. He had drilled a big hole through the foundation of my house, patched it HORRIBLY with white cement (my foundation is gray) pulled my outside outlet away from the siding and stuck a wire behind it, and connected the wire through the house into an indoor outlet-- WITHOUT ever asking my permission for any of this, plus leaving a huge mess behind of concrete all over my new mulch. I had JUST paid a contactor to take down the wall in that room, reinsulate it, and fix it because I'd had pipes burst in there... so he compromised the weatherproofing I'd just done, in addition to ruining the look of the back of my house. He drilled two holes into the room and did no silicone, or anything else to seal it up. He just left two holes in my wall. When my contactor came back, his exact words were, "What clown did this?!" I asked what was wrong. He said it was the wrong wire-- not to code, not a Romex wire-- and was a fire hazard. Then he looked closer and said, "Come over here and take a picture of this. They need to see what kind of electrical work their guy is doing." It's barely attached, bare wire, and high voltage to the box. Then, lower down, he noticed the spliced wire attached only by electrical tape-- no wire nut, not soldered-- that was taped to a copper pipe-- an electrocution hazard. "Was he trying to burn your house down?" he asked. He also told me that it was the wrong concrete, and that it needed to be hydraulic concrete so that it wouldn't shrink. I contacted Pacific and sent photos. The person on the phone agreed that this was crazy and that she would have been furious if someone had done this to her house. Mario apologized and said he wasn't an electrician... so why exactly was he messing with my electric work?! He tried again to patch the cement with a gray that's closer to what was there, but it still sticks out like a sore thumb. It's a large patch (more than a foot wide). I paid the bill minus $250 for the electric work that needed to be redone and $100 for me to put a shrub in front of the horribly patched cement.... which I later realized was impossible, because that would be blocking the faucet and sprinkler timer. So I'm left with a mismatched cement foundation. Then came yesterday. I called a month ago for winterization and said I would also need a new rain sensor because mine broke off. The technician came and said the part cost $115 plus tax. Having nothing to compare it to, I paid for the winterization and the part. Then I looked online and realized that same sensor costs $22. TWENTY-TWO dollars. After all of this, I could not believe they had ripped me off that badly. Everyone I've encountered at Pacific has been polite, and I have wanted all along to believe that they're good people who just screwed up once... but this is nuts.

The cost of the last service you had was as follows: The winterization was $60.00 plus tax The rain sensor that needed to be replaced was $115.00 plus tax. Please note all of our material is billed at flat rate pricing. It includes the labor to install the part, any additional material while installing, the part itself and finally a full 3 year warranty on it. We build everything into a flat rate, it is not just the rain sensor itself. We have spoke in the past and we rectified your earlier issue with us. A most Excellent Job The estimator was prompt, friendly and clear when making his survey of the property. It was a very professional install. The workers arrived on time and got the job finished in less than a day. They were efficient, friendly and quickly answered all of our questions. There was minimal damage to the lawn and you would never know that it had been dug up. They did a very good demonstration of the system and repeated it when my wife came home. After a week they returned to winterize the system; quickly done in a highly proficient manner with no fuss. I would recommend Pacific Lawn Sprinklers to anyone wanting to install a system.

The install went great. This is a follow-up review to my first review, in which I scheduled an appointment but nobody showed up. I was told later the person who took the appointment never saved it, which can happen. That may have been the local branch's fault for not saving it. However when I called their headquarters to scheduled they made sure everything was set. I received an email the day before my scheduled service installation and the next morning the guys showed up bright and early, about 8:30am. I was quickly shown what would take place, I had no questions (I know a thing or two about sprinkler systems already) so the guys got right to work. Everything came out great. They installed an interior back-flow preventer and dual shut-offs and a 3rd shut-off outside with a drainage hookup/spout, which is even better. They installed 7 zones for me with 2 boxes in the ground next to each other (so all my zones came back to one central point). I had created a new flower bed the weekend prior and they took care of that flower-bed in addition to my 2 existing flower beds I had already. So the flower beds are on their own zone for direct watering and the rest of the house is on the 6 remaining zones. They split up the zones pretty evenly and even programmed the system for me based on the types of heads I had. The ditch-witch they use worked like a charm. You can barely tell where they used it. My lawn was pretty beat up to begin with so I can tell where they dug up, since it was hard to re-patch (I didn't have any grass really to start with, mostly weeds/dirt)... but I feel with an established lawn you'd never be able to tell since they can patch that easier. All-in-all a great job at a great price. I've already recommended them to a co-worker.

This review is for the Pacific Lawn Sprinklers Farmingdale location... I wish I could tell you it went great... but nobody showed. I had called the office earlier this week to schedule and appointment and someone answered. They setup the appointment for me for Saturday, which worked out great for me as I did not need to take a day off. I was told someone would arrive between 2pm-6pm. Okay that's fine I said, thank you. Well it's Saturday now and it's 6:45pm... nobody has showed. Nobody called me prior to my appointment just to "confirm" it and nobody called me to let me know an approximate time they'd arrive today. Nobody even called me to cancel my appointment. Now I read the reviews on here and they have some pretty great reviews, so you can understand my disappointment when nobody showed. I used to work for a very busy/popular service company and although we were great at what we did our biggest downfall was customer service and not communicating with the customer. That is why I left that company. Now this company appears to do a great job according to the reviews but I have read quite a few reviews where others have stated appointments got cancelled and nobody called. Hey, things happen, but you must keep the customer informed. No calls and no confirmation calls is just unacceptable. I had another quote from another company (not as many reviews but still grade A) and they not only confirmed my appointment with me, they called me the morning of to let me know they were on their way and how long they'd be before they arrived. And they showed up EXACTLY when they said they would. I will probably go with that company rather then getting a few quotes. It's a shame, the company had great reviews and I was hoping to hear what they had to offer, but i'm a FIRM believer in communication with a customer and to me... even if they had a lower price, the fact that nobody showed let alone called me to let me know the appointment was cancelled/postponed, just makes me not want to do business. Sorry I had to leave you negative reviews, but you must keep the customer in the loop. [UPDATE]: I've since spoken with Pacific and have had a quote for an irrigation system. I've actually decided to give them the job and will post another review pending the outcome of my installation.

I called Tuesday and they were able to schedule me for Saturday morning, which was what I preferred. My appointment was for between 7:30am and 9:00am. They came at 8am and got to work immediately inspecting my sprinkler heads. The worker opened up the broken sprinkler head and showed me that it was just clogged with dirt and didn't need to be replaced. He inspected the other sprinkler heads and found 2 others needed to be cleaned. He also noticed that one sprinkler head was too deep and dug it up to move it slightly above the grass. They also noticed that one sprinkler head was not spraying far enough to reach my flowers so he recommended a riser to raise the sprinkler head higher. They neatly move the mulch in a pile before digging and then when they were done, neatly place back the mulch. Great job and you can't even notice that they did any work. They accepted credit card but the only drawback was that the tablet they used to charge my credit card was very slowed. It took about 5 to 7 minutes to process my payment. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with their work and would use them again.
Description of Work: Water was not coming out of one sprinkler head and needed to be repaired. They came and fixed it but also inspected all the other sprinkler heads and made repairs to 2 more. They also noticed that water was not reaching some of the flowers and installed a riser onto the sprinkler head to allow the water to reach farther.

I bought my house two years ago and spent quite some time renovating it before we moved in. You learn a lot about your home and yourself when you buy a house for the first time and realize how much responsibility it actually is. Preventative maintenance becomes your best friend after you realize a major disaster could have been averted if you had just thought ahead a few steps. With most of my attention focused on the renovations, I didn't have the lawn at the top of my priorities list. My three-zone in-ground sprinkler system came with the house so I didn't have a say in the installation. I knew the heads needed to be adjusted or replaced, but without any real experience with them, I thought my best bet would be to call a company to tune them up. Fast-forward to last week. I was home supervising an A/C system installation (see my Yost & Campbell review), when I made a mental note to look up a sprinkler company on Angie's List . Coincidentally, as I walked to the front of the house to grab the mail, I noticed a Pacific van pulling away from my neighbor's house. I didn't get their number but I did finally get inspiration to go online to do some research on AL. To my surprise, Pacific Lawn Sprinklers showed up with the highest marks so I called them right away (around 10am). I spoke with a pleasant young woman who informed me that they had a promotion where new customers could get a free inspection and head adjustment (up to five zones) for free. The only thing I would have to pay for was parts if anything needed to be replaced. She said a tech would be at the house between 11am and 1pm. At 12:00pm, Juan arrived in the same Pacific van I saw driving away earlier that morning. Juan was very knowlegdable and extremely courteous. He spent some time evaluating my system by running each zone and checking each head individually. The guy was soaked from the knees down, but I guess that's the only way to properly check a sprinkler head. When he was done, he walked me through each zone and pointed out the heads that needed to be adjusted (six in total). As it turns out, one of my zones that should have only had three rotating heads, actually had six! This reduced the water pressure to the point where the coverage area was inadequate (remind me to thank the previous owner of my house the next time I see him). He made the necessary adjustments to maximize the coverage with the pressure available and corrected my timer. I asked him for his opinion on how to best irrigate my grass, and he suggested splitting the zone. He wasn't trying to up-sell anything, which is a huge plus in my book. At the end, I signed the electronic release with a $0.00 balance and the job was done. A few days later I received an electronic invoice for $0.00 with a description of the work performed for my notes. Overall, I would definitely hire Pacific again. In the future, when the time comes to redo the grass and the backyard cement, Pacific is the company that will install my new sprinklers.

Stephen and another gentleman arrived for an estimate and were very pleasant, knowledgeable and informative. After several design estimates I chose Pacific. My brother had previously hired the company too with great results. Jennifer from the Installations Department handled the contacts between the water company and the utility company for mark outs for my installation. Jennifer was also very knowledgeable and very pleasant and everything was coordinated perfectly! Stephen and the installers arrived on time and Stephen conducted a final walk through with me before the installation began. Moises the job foreman and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish! I was impressed with their hard work and professionalism. This was a big step into unfamiliar territory for me and Pacific personnel did an excellent job in taking me through this process every step of the way! I would highly recommend this company to anyone! Thanks Pacific!

Price quote was very competitive, just a bit higher than others we spoke with. However given the reviews, word of mouth and "gut feeling" we had with Pacific when we walked through the job we felt more comfortable going with them. They were punctual and quick and the install did very little damage to the lawn. A bit of a hiccup on one item was easily resolved with no worries whatsoever. So far so good. Would recommend.

I was so happy with Pacific Sprinklers. Years ago my installer charged me $100 to replace a broken head which I thought was outrageous and since then I've been begging others to help me. Then I toyed with doing it myself which I really didn't want to do. It's so much easier to be able to call someone to come at a set time and get it done and charge reasonable fees. Will use them from now on.

I just found out that the dial was set on "off" so all of my plants are dead or dying. I would like to update my review from above. Since I posted yesterday, Pacific Lawn has reached out to me several times to acknowledge my complaint. After a conversation with a representative named Donna, I was impressed enough by her management of this particular situation that I am adjusting my review. I am still disappointed about an issue upon installation many years ago, but as I do not remember the name of the supervisor at that time, I am just going to thank Donna for her insight and help.

Response from Pacific Lawn Sprinklers
Dear Mr. [member name removed]: I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with our service this spring. Pacific takes great pride in offering 100% customer satisfaction and we offer ONTIME ON US Guarantee when we are not able to keep our appointments, although we do try our very best to accommodate all clients scheduling needs and offer phone calls before coming so clients do not have to wait around their home for us during their designated service window. We are sorry that we failed to meet your needs in a timely manner, however we would love to make it up to you, if you would like a free summer visit to check through your system please contact us to schedule that. We can also use your ON TIME ON US COUPON towards your fall winterization if you would like. Again we aim to please our clients and when we fall short we do our very best to make up for it. We hope to hear from you.

Everything worked out pretty well. May be it was not their fault with some communication issue. But, they were good.

They arrived at the scheduled time and quickly winterized the entire system. In the spring I was able to restart the system without any problems. Totally satified with the service.

Pacific sprinklers came on time yesterday as scheduled. Varik was very professional and neat and made sure he replaced any foliage that he could after the work and cleaned the yard up very well and then tested the system for leaks and the direction of the spray. In all took about 1 hr and with the 2 new heads , charged $171 and told me to do the fall service, it would be around $55-60 , which is what I pay today from someone else, so price is right. I will recommend them to anyone in need of sprinklers and will use them this fall, and maybe next spring as well.
Description of Work: They replaced the two heads with very high reach heads and moved them so they were covered by the plants.
