 + -1 moreI was wary at first of surface mounting the fixtures, but I put my trust in O.L.S.C. and their employees because I have a great deal of experience dealing with this company over the course of many years, and they did not disappoint. They've always given excellent advice, known what to do to solve problems, and offered great products to use in conjunction with my lamps; e.g., lamp shades of all kinds and finials, plus many parts needed for lamp repairs. The staff are quite knowledgeable about not only repairs but also about which lamp shades go well with different lamps.
Description of Work: The electrician extended the cords on seven (7) of my own vintage ceiling-mount light fixtures, so we could save a lot of money on the electrical portion of our apartment renovation. He was careful to collect detailed information from us about the distances of each leg of the cord's journey from fixture to ceiling, ceiling to switch, switch to outlet, and he arranged the cords accordingly such that the portions of the cords that were hanging down matched the light fixture in color and had chains on them; whereas the cords that were traveling down the corner of a wall were white and blended in with the walls. Additionally, the electrician fixed a fixture to enable the use of a pull switch to turn it on and off. Over the years, O.L.S.C. has also provided us with beautiful lamp shades, sized and matched exquisitely well with the respective lamps.

 + -1 moreI live in the neighborhood and I walk by often I went in when I needed a lamp repaired and they were able to repair it. It was an expensive repair, but I was sentimentally attached to the lamp. They were excellent and I would absolutely refer them to others. For what it was, it was a good price.
Description of Work: Oriental Lamp Shade Co repaired my lamp. They are a retail store and they also do repairs.
