I am taking the time to review NY Drapery Care because their service was most professional and satisfactory in every way. In an effort to remediate mold in my mother's residence, we had to clean all the heavy curtains, as well as the valences and sheer curtains. Also the vinyl blinds had to be cleaned and wiped down. We interviewed several companies for this job and NY Drapery Care impressed us the most, with their knowledge of antique looking fabrics, their repair service, and their hands-on door-to-door service from beginning to the end of the job. They dismantled the heavy fabric curtains and sheers as well as some of the valences and transported them off site for cleaning. Additionally they sent a crew to properly clean the many vinyl blinds at the residence. From start to finish, their work was detail-oriented, and they delivered on what they promised. Their crew was well-trained and efficient at what they did. This was a big job as these curtains in 5 rooms had not been cleaned in 30 years or more. This company excels at what it does and we thank them for the good job that they did.

NY Drapery Care did a great job cleaning three bedroom sunshades and a kitchen valance and shade. Chuck Strasser, the owner of NY Drapery was very prompt in returning my initial call and was able to give me an estimate from measurements I provided. I was having the rooms painted so it was important that the shades and valance were picked up before the work started. Chuck was able to arrange a pick up on a timely basis. The shades were very sooty but came out totally soot and dust free from cleaning. I was very pleased with their service and highly recommend. I would definitely work with Chuck again.

The owner, Chuck, was such a pleasure to deal with - prompt and courteous. He offered to come to my place to give a free estimate even thought it was a small job. To save the time he suggested I send him photos and measurements of the windows and was able to give an accurate estimate. He quickly came and removed the drapes and shades and cleaned and reinstalled them within a week. I had waited too long (because I thought it would be a hassle and I didn't like the idea of a stranger in my house) and thought the NYC filth on the bottom of the shades might be permanent but they came back looking like new. Highly recommend.

The company owner was courteous and careful about other things in our home. Before taking on the job, he asked to look over the curtains - which are quite old, to make sure they were worth cleaning. He took care about handling them and did a good job with some ancient fabric. The only, minor, problem we had was that one day he was running late due to traffic. He contacted me to let me know that he couldn't be there until later in the day. He offered to reschedule if necessary. I appreciated that consideration, and would use this service again.

See above. I spoke to Chuck on a Tuesday. He was here on Thursday. He gave estimate and took the panels and silhouettes with him. He returned the following Tuesday and finished the job on site. He was here for approximately 5 hours.
