Description of Work: They performed brick repairs to the brick wall of my house. We had a water leak which was due to some open cracks in the brick wall. They came over and sealed all the cracks in the brick wall. and stopped the leak. The job was completed in one day and the price was reasonable.

Description of Work: Hi I'm Carolyn , I recently had the pleasure of working with an outstanding masonry company named N & A Contracting Inc(their phone # is 347-231-5236). I own a five story multifamily apartment property in astoria, new york. I recently received a summons by the New York City Department of buildings for an unsafe parapet wall,loose bricks and cracked concrete lintels at various sections of front and side wall of my property. This summons, violation was considered an emergency repair and required immediate attention. The violation even asked for a sidewalk bridge to be placed on two sides of my property. I must admit that I never had to deal with this kind of violation before and never actually realized that my property had structural damage. My property was passed down to three generations in my family, and I assumed that the brickwork on the property was in decent conditon. So I decided to look for a masonry contractor on the internet. I came across a website for N & A Contracting Inc.( website address is www.nnacontractor.com)They are located at 603 West 185th Street, N.Y. N.Y.10033. I immediately wrote down the contact phone number and placed a call to them. I spoke with Mr.Edison Velaro. He made an immediate appointment with me and came out to meet me and reviewed the violation. Mr. Velaro pointed out to me that there was damage to the parapet wall, and pointed out to me three four foot sections on the parapet where you could see bulging bricks, and he also showed me areas above the window lintels that were missing bricks. And he confirmed that the concrete lintels needed repair. Also, he mentioned that he could recommend a sidewalk bridge company to place the bridge immediately. Mr. Velaro contacted a company named rock scaffolding and immediately they gave him a price of $8,000.00 to place the bridge. Mr. Velaro later that evening emailed me a proposal to repair my brick walls. He quoted me a price of $26,000.00 for grinding and brick pointing, parapet wall rebuild, and lintel repair. I must say that Mr. Velaro had a crew at my property within one day to place the sidewalk bridge. And on the second day he had his crew of men start the job. And within 8 days they had completed the work. And within two weeks he even had the violation removed. I was so satisfied with this job performance that I recommended them to three other friends that needed masonry repairs.
