It went well.

Called for an estimate and received an appointment and estimate the same day. A new roof was installed the very next day. Very satisfied with the responsiveness and quality of work. Would hire again and would recommend.

The work went smooth. The workers were puntcual, worked diligently, took before and after photos for my insurance and put on a better roof than was originally put on the house.

Called company on Monday 6/10/13 to see if I could get someone out to check a leak from the roof. Was told someone could come out on Tuesday 6/11/13 around 12:00pm. I was at residence from 11:30 to 4:00. No one from company showed up. Called company at 1:30 to check out status of appt. Was told that they were calling the truck to see when they would be arriving at the house. Did not hear back from anyone. Called company again at 2:30 and 3:30 and received voicemail and left messages both times. Still have not heard back from anyone. Pretty much wasted the day sitting home waiting for someone to show up with no phone call or anything. Big time FAIL on McGavin Roofing for no show, no call.

it was a pleasure dealing with McGavin Roofing. They explained exactly what the job entailed in a clear and professional manner. They arrived on time and were very courteous at all times. They also were extremely neat and left no garbage behind. I would recommend them without hesitation.

They were very professional. The workers were cheerful and courteous. I have used them before and the work was the same. They also stopped by to check on my roof and to see if I was happy with their work. Not many companies would do that. I will definitely use them again.

Several of us hired McGavin to paint our cornices. In addition, it was suggested that I do some roof maintenance. My neighbors, all of whom had simpler projects, were very happy, but there were a few problems associated with my project, so I called John. He called me back immediately, and within just a few days, he and his crew came out, fixed everything, and I could not be happier. They did great work, and they are great communicators. (I really cannot say that too many contracors are good communicators, so this makes me very happy to report!) I plan to use them when it is time to replace my roof.

The price was very reasonable. They haven't done anything for me yet. I have every confidence with them. They got up on the roof and took a look at it. They explained to us what they were going to do and then we worked up a price. We decided that we liked their presentation and we think we'd rather go with them. They were here when they said they would be here. They were very professional.

It was fine. I was satisfied with their work. They were very nice. Price is a little more than I intend to pay but once they get it done you got to pay it.

They came late for the initial evaluation and then they never came back with a quote; in fact, I still need a roofer. I can't say the interaction went well because they never got back to me; I don't feel like that is an endorsement.

John McGavin was professional and a pleasure to deal with. He came to give me an estimate when he said he would. He came the first day that was clear to do the repairs. He went above and beyond what I hired him to do. When he came for the estimate, he noticed the siding on my house was loose and had holes. Since it was forecasted to rain the next day, he had his men hammer the siding back on and filled the holes with silicon. He then had them patch the places where the wood was exposed from the missing slate on the roof so the rain would not come into my house and cause more damage. McGavin was the only roofer who climbed onto the roof when doing the estimate. He was the only one, ( I had 3 other roofers look at the job) who gave me a 10 year guarantee on the job. The other roofers would not give me any guarantee. He repaired some flashing and sealed around my window and seams between my old house and the extension. He cleaned and secured the gutters. I had only hired him to repair my roof. The other things he did were extras that he saw needed to be repaired and did not charge me any extra. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him.

John McGavin and his father were doing work in the neighborhood and noticed I had some roofing problems. He knocked on my door and carefully explained everything in detail and gave me a very fair estimate. They began work the next morning. The roof was fixed, and new "Firestone" mineral surfaced roofing was applied; all new shingles, which will last a lifetime, were applied; and a sealant was sprayed over the bricks on the entire back of the house to prevent water from seeping in. The work was completed in one day. They were professional and efficient. Cleanup was impeccable. I would highly recommend McGavin Roofing and will use them again. John was a pleasure to work with and I owe him an apology for not writing this review sooner!

He said that he was a contractor and he had to get to guys and that was his price. The price he quoted me was too high.

HE DID A GREAT JOB AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. EVERYTHING I ASKED THEM TO DO WAS DONE. THEY PAID ATTENTION TO DETAIL. GREAT JOB!!

FOR THEY DID GOOD JOB FOR ME. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. i HAD A COUPLE LOOSE SLATES THEY REPAIRED THOSE ME AND COATED MY ENTIRE FLAT FOR UP THE WALLS. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

Mr. McGavin was doing my neighbors roof. We talked about some issues i was having and after looking things over he told me what needed to be done. He gave me warranties and was very professional. Had small issue and when I called, my call was promptly returned and the problem was fixed .Will recommend to anyone who needs roof work done.

This company was referred to us by a neighbor who had them do her roof. It was a great choice. They responded quickly with a same day estimate. Started work the very next day. They explained I detailed work and worked quick and neatly. The service over all was superb! It has been a wonderful experience. I will definitely use them again in the future and also recommend them to others.

Slate on front of the house had been coming loose for awhile, especially during strong winds we'd been having during storms in the last year. They fell off a couple of times and I worried one would fall off and hit someone. Had'nt done anything since I wasn't sure who to call. Out of the blue a couple of weeks ago a young man, John Gavin came to our door. He and his dad were doing work in the area and offered to do the job for what I thought was a reasonable price. Within minutes their guys were at the front of the houseand on the job. They were quick and careful-and did work for a couple of our neighbors too!
