Owner is very personable and willing to negotiate. Immediate service and nor evidence of leaks despite very heavy storms.

They emailed me when I first purchased the deal to set up the appointment which I was not ready for. I them know I would contact them when I was ready to schedule. I have emailed them twice since then and no response.

We communicated on a regular basis. The provider was on time, professional, and polite. The provider was honest and stated my roof was good but the siders needed to be repaired by a siding professional. This deal would not be applicable for this type of service, so I requested a refund. However, if I ever need roof repairs I would contact this provider

It was initially difficult to get hold of him. Once the appointment was scheduled Mr. McGavin seemed knowledgeable

Mr. McGavin repaired my roof over a year ago. After the heavy rains that we had recently, I had another leak. He came when he said he would and repaired the roof again, (some shingles had gotten loose). One of my leaders also needed repair. He fixed it. There was no additional charge. I would definitely recommend him.

They completed the assignment satisfactorily.

I had contacted McGavin on a rainy Saturday when I noticed a lot of leaking coming into our 4th floor apartment in our brownstone. They dispatched someone to my home the next morning - a Sunday - and very promptly discovered the source of the leak - the doorway leading to the roof - and repaired it the same day. No more leaks! Was overjoyed with their responsiveness and quality of the work. Spoke with John Sr. and Jr., and Manny did the work. Was very please with the result.

I purchased the deal, scheduled the appointment twice, left a message for the company, and have not heard back from them. It has become a waste of money and time...very disappointing.

They came early and did a speedy and efficient job. And cleaned up after themselves!

Excellent experience, family business at it's best. The flat roof of my brick house was showing some wear and tear, but the main problem was vertical roofing material which, due to improper work, was detached from parapet walls like pockets, thus funneling water inside the bricks. The problem was discovered on Friday at 9AM. I called McGavin 10 AM, since my roofing company (Maspeth) was unresponsive. At noon, representatives from McGavin Co. John (the son) and his associate were already up on a roof. Several options were presented to me, and I selected complete new roof replacement because the company offers 15 Year Warrantee on their work as well as annual maintenance. John asked how soon I wanted to start, of course I said - tomorrow - half jokingly. Well, the next day, promptly at 9:30, father, son and the crew arrived, started working, and finished before 4PM. After the work was done (and before I wrote the check) I climbed on the roof and was shown and explained all the steps taken. Before leaving, they even fixed small tear on my kitchen roof free of charge, which is something I did not expect at all. To sum up my McGavin experience: * Local company working in the neighborhood, great for emergencies * They are respectful and courteous * Explained exactly what was wrong and what had to be done * Offered options with associated costs * Arrived promptly and finished in estimated time frame * They are clean and organized, left no mess behind * Their work was neat and is backed up by 15 years guarantee I would definitely recommend McGavin Roofing and will call for their expertise on other structures on my property.

Went well. He said I needed a new roof which I expected. That was it- fast efficient.

I had two satellite dishes removed from my flat roof and I needed the roof to be re-sealed. In addition a couple of shingles had to be repaired due to bad weather. McGavin's Roofing company was prompt and courtesy.

I first contacted McGavin in July. I have leaks and gutter issues.. An appointment was made for the following week. They arrived THE NEXT DAY, a day on which I had outpatient surgery, and was unable to deal with the matter. He did an inspection at that time and quoted a price of $3500. I said I would get back to them when able. I did not call them and they showed up again in September, while I was at work, asking if we were ready to go ahead with the job. T called an made an appointment. They did not show up. I called back to reschedule and was told that I neglected to make a confirmation call regarding the previous appointment. In no way was I told I had to call back to confirm. I made another appointment. They came and we went over the job to be done, which was the first time it had been gone over with me, the homeowner. That was on Friday, September 27. The job was to start Monday, September 30. The next day I called to ask to speak with John, as I had questions,, and was told they could not start the job on Monday, as they were booked up. Better for me. We arranged to meet at 9 a,m, the following Saturday, October 5.. At 9:4 5 I called to ask if they were coming, and was told he had been away in Florida all week, and would be there by 12 noon. Close to 1 p.m. they arrived, and by the time I slipped into my shoes and came out the door, they were deeply engrossed in conversation with my neighbor about his brick work, They continued this conversation, while I waited in the backyard with John's cousin, who did call John to join us. However, it took my daughter's vehement objection to making me wait to bring him back to MY job. We walked through some changes; he agreed to bring a contract to be signed during the wweek; the work was to start on Saturday, October 12. No contract arrived. I called on Friday October 11 to say I had been expecting it and the work was off. On several occasions they told me I was confused. (I guess if you have grey hair, that's the mantra.) However, I found a complete communication failure within their organization. They are father and son, and in my case throughout my dealings with them, THEIR signals were crossed. They wasted my time!

They did show up when they said they would. They were prompt and courteous. I will be comparing their estimated price to other provides, but as far as the tune up and inspection it went well.

Mr. McGavin showed up early for our appointment which I had hoped for. He was polite and professional listening to me consernes about my roof. He did not push me to hire him to fix other problems. I really liked that. He did give me an account of work that could be done in the future. All in all a pleasant experience.

I have been using mr.McGavin for about six years now. He has always done perfect work for me, he stands by his work he is very reliable and makes sure the job gets done right. I exclusively use McGavin for anything because I know that the job will be done right the first time. I highly recommend McGavin Roofing for the quality, responsiveness, and the prices aren't bad either.

It was very good! They come and do the work efficiently. I had no problem. They did such a good job the first time I hired them, that I approved for them to do more work when they happened to be back in my neighborhood.

There was a lot of work that needed to be done. The roof had been in pretty bad shape and hadn't been worked on in 30-40 years. They did excellent work. Went in to great detail. They were very prompt in starting the work, which I appreciated. Very efficient. They followed up with me as well.
