Services we offer
No project is too big or too small. We have our own shop in Brooklyn where we can fabricate anything you need. Our services include gut renovations, remodeling, kitchens/bathrooms, custom cabinetry and furniture, bookcases, radiator covers, children's playrooms, counter-tops, doors, windows, all types of moldings, framing/drywall, wood floors, ceramic tiles and painting. We also do out-door decks, railings and planter boxes.
We hired Jim and Jamie to do a variety of work in our two bedroom apartment. The work ranged from fabricating and installing a built in bookcase/cabinet unit to spec, same with bathroom medicine cabinet doors, to sourcing and obtaining fixtures, to running wiring to install new ceiling lights and fans, to fabricating and installing stone covers on our windowsills. Their work and that of their subcontractors was excellent. Workmanship was to the highest standards, thanks to Jamie's eagle eye for details. Both Jim and Jamie are great at brainstorming ideas based on their broad experience. Their shop creates beautiful, professional pieces and their attention to detail when installing sourced fixtures can't be beat. Highly recommend.

JCC especially Jim and Adam were great, they were always on time, neat, tidy and planned everything very carefully. They were so easy to deal with, no problem could not be overcome by them they were really helpful. They created a custom closet with laminate, the standard of work was very high, they ensured all the patterns lined up and thought of all the small details. I would have no problem recommending them or rebooking, they are very professionals, committed to creating great products and ensuring the customer is happy.
Description of Work: JCC created a custom closet for my NYC walk-up apartment, they also installed custom closet doors. The closet was in a difficult space where walls were not level or straight.

It's really hard to find a good quality contractor in NYC. I talked to something like 10 contractors before I found Jim and Jamie. When I first met Jim, I was very reassured. He's patient, clearly knows what he's doing and puts your mind at ease. I started off with some ideas of what I wanted done, and Jim brought in Jamie to give some design advice, and I'm so happy he did. This was a really large project, I had to get board approval (it's a coop in the UWS) which was a nightmare, but they helped me through it all. They sorted out all the documents for me, and explained the process. The largest part of the work was the bathroom - they ripped everything out and started again. The work has been of a super high quality with things I didn't even consider - for example my ceiling wasn't even, but they straightened everything up and made it look like new. The plumbing was also redone and everything's been working terrifically. I also had made some custom cabinets, doors and a radiator cover. I think Jim started off doing just carpentry, so he really knows his stuff here. I didn't realize custom built products could be at such a reasonable price, and it really brought the place together. Jamie helped me make a bunch of decisions, ie, suggested I use some cheaper components to save some money, and also pointed out things I'd never considered (who knew molding for a few hundred dollars could really bring the place together?). Whenever there was a decision about an item (like buying a new toilet or faucet, etc), Jamie would always prepare some suggestions that she felt would go well with the style, and if I explained there was something I wanted she would search tirelessly to find it. Sometimes I would wake up in the morning and find product suggestions in my email from 2am! They also really care about the final product - for example, I've been working with any company to replace some very old windows, and Jamie took care of everything about sorting out the color and style with them. It's also worth saying they don't mind doing smaller projects. I originally brought them into repair a few things that were broken when I moved in. Most contractors wouldn't even stop by unless it sounds like a major project. The fact they were so helpful with something small made me feel like they cared enough about quality to be trusted with this large project. Finally, I mentioned before about how my building was somewhat difficult. My super is great, but likes to keep an eye on everything. He was so impressed with their quality, he's bringing them back for other work around the building. Jamie and Jim made me really love my apartment. I'd use them in a heartbeat next time.
Description of Work: Major renovation - gutted the bathroom (including plumbing), electrical around the entire apartment, painted, different lights, molding, doors, etc.
