Inson is a creative genius with a superb eye. He did everything with meticulous detail and completely transformed our apartment into an amazing, gorgeous home. We enjoy entertaining, and our friends love coming over, always remarking how beautiful and inviting our home is- and that was exactly what we wanted, except Inson brilliantly upgraded our concept, within budget and on time (even with our aggressive timeline because we needed to be out of our old place and into our new within months!). Inson’s team was also great to work with - always polite and professional. We highly recommend Inson and plan on working with him again on our Hamptons home!

Inson is an excellent person to work with. He puts in the time to make sure that he understands what you want and then is able to translate that into incredible design work. Every single person who has entered our apartment post-reno has commented on how amazing it looks. We were very lucky to find him and benefit from his expertise as well as the great contractor and team of builders he works with. Also, when he says he comes in on time and on budget, he means it - we had a very tight window for renovation and everything was finished on time as promised. Highly recommend.

We live in a prewar coop building in Manhattan and were in need of a kitchen, living and dining room/den renovation. Because of the limitations in our building, we were not optimistic that many changes could be made that would dramatically alter the feel/function of the space. Inson Wood proved us completely wrong. With his architectural eye and his impeccable design aesthetic we (and everyone who has been here before and after) experiences our apartment as an entirely different living space. Even family members are shocked at the transformation. I think that what Inson accomplished was the product of a few significant factors. First, Inson asks you what you want and seriously considers how you live. If Inson thinks that different approaches should be considered for what you want, he provides renderings of each option so that you can easily visualize and imagine them. Ultimately, Inson respects your preferences and works with them, elevating them to a level far above what you had imagined. Inson uses the highest quality vendors (whom we NEVER would have found) and expertly guides you through choices (note: follow his recommendations!!!)- our walls would never have had dimension and our kitchen backsplash never have been so unique (two examples) if not for the artisans that Inson uses. Inson is also willing to have you be as much or as little involved in the process as you want to be. I did go with Inson to choose many pieces of furniture but realized after a certain point that his taste point made me confident in him choosing much finishing work (ex: window treatments, decorative cushions, which I love) without me. As with all design work, there are always glitches and Inson was extremely responsive and responsible for taking care of those as they came up. We are nothing less than thrilled to come home each evening and enjoy our space, which feels like a luxurious retreat perfectly tailored to us.

Perfectly. All this without vacating the apartment. Excellent results. Everytime I walk into the apartment I feel happy and peaceful. Inson’s taste is impeccable.

The old saying that "you get what you pay for" is true. In this case, not the cheapest option, but worth every penny.

It went very well. Inson always focused on the highest quality products that would fit the design. Also tried to get each item at the better price. Additionally he was meticulous with the project and **** ** the vendors to make no mistakes and focus on a quality outcome. Finally Inson and his team were diligent to make sure everything was constructed in the right manner. In our case the proper wiring and safest plumbing. Always relied on master builders and plumbers who new what they were doing. The final outcome was above expectations. I would keep in mind any project like ours will cost money - we spent extra with Inson but in the end it was the right thing to do and well worth it.

Inson worked with us on our home in the Hamptons and house in San Francisco. He brings an extraordinary combination of very high end style personalized for our tastes; access to special deals from the most elite and sought after designers; and a sense of working within the budget you have in mind. We were able to get museum quality pieces for both homes at unbelieveable discounts. Inson also continues to provide important follow up services as needed. For example, we had a fabric issue with our 40 outdoor chairs that developed after the warranty. The cost to change would have been tens of thousands of dollars but the manufacturer handle the out of warranty issue at no cost to us, which I believe was due to inson’s relationship and advocacy on our behalf. He’s terrific.
