I purchased a Groupon coupon $30 for $100 of computer repair. I brought in an old laptop I purchased to give to one of my students. I presented the laptop and said that I had purchased it used and did not have the password. I asked if it could be retrieved and approximately ow much it would be. The technician quoted $80. Then I presented my groupon. The technician took the laptop in the back and then returned and said that it would cost $130.00. He also said that since I couldn't pick it up until the next day, the groupon would not be valid because this was the last day it was valid. I told him that I did not want to spend the extra money since the laptop was old. Although he mentioned that I could still use the face value of the Groupon at a later time I don't think the rates are reasonable.
