My issue with Handy is that you book and pay in advance. It was about a month before Christmas and it was terrible when we couldn't contact anyone. They continue to charge fees for changing times. We ended up using Task Rabbit and cancelled our Handy experience all together. The first time was okay, but the most recent experience really ticked me off. The customer service is terrible, as you try to email them, wait for a response, and get a computer generated copy/paste response that is generally unhelpful.

I used the app to book the service. It was really easy to use. The only thing that I would like to see is a notification when the Handy pro changes for the service.

"Terrible, 9 emails to confirm appointment, double charged, and 5 emails to rate the service . Held hostage by the original plan and they make it very difficult to cancel. Shaddy at best."

Not only did the cleaner do a poor and incomplete cleaning job (hair and dust all over the bathroom, kitchen counters not even fully wiped off, etc. etc.) but he broke a bathroom mirror, and badly scratched up the inside of our microwave door (it looks as if he quickly and forcefully scrubbed steel wool or something similar against the delicate inside door/window). I reported this four days ago but Handy has still failed to respond or compensate us. This followed several other Handy visits by other Handy staff in previous months, almost every time they did a poor job and left an hour or more before the time that we paid for expired. Those times at least Handy gave us $30 credits towards future bookings to make up for the poor incomplete service, so we stuck with them awhile. But it's not worth it – steer far clear of Handy."

Very well. Jenika was ontime, and did a beautiful job in all of the rooms we asked her to clean.
