Handy House Cleaning

They canceled appointment twice then finally said they couldn’t find anyone to do the job. Nobody ever showed up to look at the job!!! Not recommended for Monroe NY area. They don’t have the staff to cover this area. One person contacted me told me they would come 9:30 the next morning, then got a text the next morning at 9:15 canceling. Received refund.

Handy responded to the wrong address. Cleaner was given the wrong street. The street did not match the zip code and it should have been verified by a phone call prior. When we spoke with the cleaner he was in the wrong part of Queens. Instead of 88th Street he was on 188th Street. By the time we spoke he wanted to charge us $180 cash in addition to the amount we paid on our credit card. He was supposed to come with a vacuum and he said he did not have one. I have yet to be refunded from Handy.

Paid for five hours. Left at the three hour mark. Not a great job at all.

It went very well. Very happy with Clara, wish that i could requests her again.

Paid for 5 hours of work - cleaner left before 3 hours. Gave her a brand new vacuum cleaner and she vacuumed the entire house on a setting which sucked through the hose and not the floor so NOTHING was vacuumed. Did a terrible job pretty much everywhere in the home. Forgot to do any window sills, didn't dust well at all, wiped down the empty fridge and freezer with water - not clean at all. Overall terrible service.

Absolutely horrible!! She DID NOT CLEAN ANYTHING!! Waste of time only positive the company refunded my money.

Absolutely terrible. The gentlemen who came had no cleaning supplies except for a swiffer and maybe bottle of something. He didn't do the few things I asked with any care to detail because he had no idea how to clean. It is a newer apt with no carpets, I only asked that the items under the bed and the beds get slid away from wall to dust, I asked that all trim along the floor/wall get dusted. And the 2 small bathrooms Get cleaned. He had no idea how to clean anything. He had NO TRAINING, he sprayed topjob on the white tile floor and used a swiffer with no water, which left a serious layer of dull-**** on the tile floor that needed to be redone by me. He didn't finish the small carpet in living room and left the vacuum out, fully plugged in. He didn't clean at the base of the toilets or behind them. He dropped a lipstick and the lid went by the side/behind the toilet and he left the lid there. he was very nice but it was a terrible service and will probably never use angie's list or handy again. Who the **** was this person that handy sent who absolutely had no training and brought no supplies? They should be ashamed of themselves.

First I was not satisfied with the result. For the price, you get what you pay for. I had several follow up emails reiterating my dissatisfaction. One month later, a representative shows up to my house to clean . I apologize for the lack of communication and that my account was canceled. Low and behold, I was charges for a repeat service one month later. Their ethics and customer service are less than attractive. I do not recommend their business.

They made appointments but didn’t have anyone to do the work I had to get a refund!

Expected a crew. One woman was sent. She was not given the detailed instructions I gave Handy, and was therefore unable/unprepared to do parts of the job I required. Also, I had to keep showing her things she missed that she was supposed to do (like cleaning interior windows, window sills, cleaning the outside of the dishwasher, etc. ) A few days later when I went back to the property I found other things she missed and cleaned them myself. So I would say this was both a failure of the service and the particular person they sent out.

I cannot speak for the cleaning, as I never received one. I booked a cleaning on October 31, it said that day and time were available. Yes, it was short notice, about three or four days. This company scheduled me for an appointment, and then I found out on the day someone was supposed to come out, they cancelled. Their policy is they are able to cancel two hours before someone is supposed to come, which is ridiculous because, people have work, schedules, things to do. They rescheduled me, and cancelled AGAIN. By this time, I wanted a refund, oh yeah, since I forgot to mention I had to pay for this BEFORE I even had any work done. They wouldn't give me a refund or help me change how long the commitment would be. So, it comes the day of my next appointment and guess what? Cancelled again. Rescheduled and then they cancelled again. I was sick and tired, finally, November 14, I was given my refund and I was told I received discounted cleanings because of my trouble. Actually. No because I was never able to receive the service. This is absolutely ridiculous and NO WAY to run a business.

The Handy service is done only through the internet via its website. Communication is limited to that platform. There are multiple fees inappropriately charged by Handy that are penalties, even though you try over and over again to inform them of errors or advanced appointment cancellations. No one is available to talk to you AFTER you've become a customer. Indeed, I had to contact Angie's List Customer Service for help and she was able to contact Handy about the specific, legitimate issues I raised. The best thing you can do is to TAKE A SCREEN SHOT of each and every appointment to manage the situation. Keep a file!

After she left noticed a soapy film all over the wood floors and a large amount of dirt in the center of LE.

Luis was right on time, came prepared with all necessary tools, and did the job with care and professionalism. I highly recommend him!

First time customer this weekend & could not be more satisfied. Worked with Tomas who put up 2 TV stands. He was friendly, informative, & did exactly what he promised within 2 hrs. Definitely hire again for handy work.

It didn't! and I've been trying to get my credit card refunded and it's almost impossible. Finally I heard from Steve Brenia who emailed me today and is trying to help me. I was supposed to get a cleaning on Sept 17. No one showed up. It was scheduled for 1:30 and the lady's name was Eileen.My husband and I wasted the entire day at home. She finally text me and said I should reschedule and she was going to report no one was at home.Meanwhile no one ever came here!!! She was texting me on the Handy App. I had no idea that this was the only way you communicate with your customers! I did not have the App. Couldn't she call me? I gave my home # and my cell#. This was very poor communication.I would really appreciate the refund for $116.18 ASAP! thank you. Maria Schulz

She was an hour and a half late. Cleaning was ok

She did a good job , cleaned the spindles on my banister and the banister to it came out great . The rest of the cleaning came good to Very nice girl.
