Green Earth Pest Control

I have been using them for over two years and have never had an issue.

Provider came to treat the apartment after I had prepped according to their instructions. When they came, they told me they would not treat kitchen and bathroom, which, with the layout of my apartment, leaves major gaps in the coverage. Ones goes to the bathroom at night, when awaken from minor skin sensations due to the presence of the bugs, it's the most likely next place to carry these critters to! Also, leaving out areas of the apartment allows them to get away from the pesticide. I assume what they used was too toxic to be used in kitchens and bathrooms. As there was a contract I had no choice but to proceed, hoping for the best. They then proceeded with their treatment, spraying pesticide and putting some into the walls. Where they had put pesticide into the walls, they left slightly protruding, grouted-over webbing, very difficult to smooth and blend into a level wall surface, but that was not the worst. The treatment left a white, powdery residue on everything in the treated spaces, and the instructions specified to clean up the surfaces after treatment. Since I did not want to breathe the powder, I used a double medical face mask, assuming that if the pores were small enough not to let viruses pass, I would be sufficiently protected from this dust. I also used vinyl gloves as instructed. It took me two entire days of hard work. The following days, I felt extremely tired. After the second treatment, I had wised up and cleaned with a pesticide mask from Home Depot (to be fair, they recommended that when I called in to report my experience and ask for advice about how to proceed next time). Again, two days of intensive work, but without the subsequent fatigue - but WORST OF ALL: There remained signs of bed bugs (smell and bites). When I first talked to Kery, who seems to be the main manager, he was very friendly, sounded supportive, and respectful. When I called back to tell him that the treatment had been unsuccessful, he was extremely condescending, calling me Ma'am, and Sweetie, it sounded like he was making fun of me. He insisted that I would have to show him a bedbug I had caught in the apartment. Everybody who has ever had bedbug infestation knows how hard they are to find or catch, unless you have a major infestation, and if a treatment is even somewhat effective, there definitely should not be many left. A positive canine inspection report, which I got about 2 months after the treatment (you have to wait after pesticide treatment before bringing in a dog, to protect the dog), was not sufficient as proof, and I think it should be. I subsequently had a positive canine inspection, and finally found some bugs in an interceptor. After I had found and submitted the bed bugs, the provider did agree to come back, but I was not willing to undergo another such frustrating and useless exercise and work 4 entire days to remove the residue. Don't know what this company does in other areas, but FOR BED BUGS, they are definitely NOT THE RIGHT PROVIDER, if only for the reason that they don't treat the entire apartment, even if you don't mind the work. Their prices are relatively low, and they had come recommended, which is why I chose them, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Ok, so we have been using this provider for about four months, because we wanted to give them a chance, And, I didn't want to write a review until the end of the four months. We had used another bug maintenance service which was literally giving the roaches a perfume shower. They still were multiplying and just popping up everywhere. So Green Earth came in and what I liked about their service was that they had a solution to the problem of roach reproduction in a non-toxic delivery method. So four months ago, when we would arrive to the house and turn on the lights, the roaches would scatter on the dining room table and there would be baby roaches all over the kitchen floor. Well four months later, I am pleased to report, when turning on the lights, there were no babies there and roaches no longer were scampering over the dining room table. I gave them a B in the price department because, I had skipped a couple of days between the monthly service, and the price increased by about $25-30. So just book appointments maybe all at one time or set a reminder to yourself that appointments are every 30 days otherwise you will be charged a slightly higher fee.

The Green Earth people were excellent. The technicians were very patient, and even spent time helping me finish preparing my apartment. The staff allowed me to reschedule the treatment promptly when I wasn't ready the first time, and they didn't criticize me for my failure to be ready as I promised. They were all incredibly patient and helpful on the phone, generous with advice, spending as much time as I needed to help me cope with the infestation. Best of all, the treatment was SUCCESSFUL, in just the time they predicted. PS Some companies advise that the dog inspector not be affiliated with the pest professionals. It looks like a conflict of interest. But Green Earth's record and rep is very good, so I decided to go with their dog. They are very professional, and clearly their reputaton matters to them. They don't want to mess that up with inaccurate dog reports. I watched the dog work, and I could see that he was well trained and that his handler was not biasing the report. BTW the dog was very cute, and provided a moment of entertainment in an otherwise totally miserable situation.

Peter called 30 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive, I explained I had to take my son to school and Peter told me not to rush and let him know when I would be back, his tone and communication was highly professional. When Peter finally arrived at our home he explained everything he needed to do after inspecting our home thoroughly. I have lived in this house since 1966 and we have never had any type of cockroach, after hurricane Sandy we would see one from time to time usually dead but nonetheless they were there, this disgusted my wife and daughter and did not please me at all. Peter diagnosed the situation completely and went about his business, Peter was highly professional and neat he wore shoe socks to keep his boots off of our floors and did not give me any reason to have to be looking over his shoulder, in other words I did not feel like he was "scouting" our home (very important) Peter explained what he did and why he did it, if I had a question he had the answer, he went on to assure e we did not have any nesting or infestation and tld me we would see positive results. Peter told me what to expect so there would be no surprises and there have been none. We spoke about the payment and he even asked if I was OK with the price I was quoted, not to mention there was NO monthly contract (who does that?) I hope to never have to use Green Earth again aside from an annual preventive treatment, but if I ever do or if anyone ever asks me about an exterminator this is the organization I would recommend without a second thought, they are the real deal and if Peter is your technician you will be refreshingly surprised to see that competent professional American work ethic is still very much alive within this organization. I'm glad I called Green Earth. Over the phone and e-mail all personnel were very professional, helpful, and understood my problem.The company sent Peter who was very friendly and professional - top notch. He outlined the procedure and gave us tips on the after-care treatment. If I do ever need any pest control service I certainly will call on Green Earth, and I definitely would like to have Peter back.

The very night he set up these bait boxes, I could heard the rats going in them, I had previously staged sticky mouse traps but the rats were either not falling for them or eat the traps to escape. Yes, these were big rats. It's day three now, and I haven't seen or heard a rat since the day I received Peter set up the bait boxes.

Peter called 30 min before schedule to let me know he would be there on time and was very friendly and professional ,he gave me lots of tips on keeping the house bug free and treated more spots than I needed ( just in case ) even including the outside and backyard. I wouldn't even think of using another company .

They are good. They are very professional. They are very responsive. They are customer-friendly. The staff is professional, efficient and expert. Their price is pretty reasonable.

They were prompt, on time, did the work and left. They told us that in order to get the guarantee that we needed to have one hole that was larger than most filled by our own person. They were not able to do that. It seemed a little expensive but because of our experience with them when it came to bed bugs I trust that they know what they are doing and I am willing to pay for that.

Glad I called Green Earth. I was concerned that I may have had bed bugs, but not having seen any evidence I decided to get an expert's opinion. Green Earth sent a dog to inspect our apartment, as well as our tenant's. Luckily nothing was found and we were reassured. They are a very responsive company and well prepared. We received several emails in advance of the visit advising us how to prepare for the dogs visit and they were very thorough. I will definitely use them again in the future.

It went exceptional. Peter who was our Provider was a professional from the moment he walked in, he saw we still had clients and removed his belt with his tools so that he could be discreet. He then proceeded to take a tour of our space checking the walls, & moving equiptment all while being very discreet. He then put down whatever he needed to in order to make sure every area that needed it was fully secured. He also covered a couple of holes that he thought were too big and could be dangerous with something temporary and gave us advice on how to replace it with something permanent. Overall I found him to be very friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. They will be handling any future issues we might have. Thank you to Green Earth Pest Control & Peter!!!!

I contacted Green Earth Pest Control via email looking for an organic option for pest control as I had concerns about toxins for my family and my elderly cat. After a brief email chat Jed Alpert suggested we should talk via phone so that he could go in to more detail about the services. Jed went over everything in detail and was clear about pricing. He asked for specifics regarding the type and number of bugs I was seeing so that they could be best prepared for the service. I then received a follow up email outlining everything we had discussed along with what results I should see and the time frame I should see those results. The technician called me 15 minutes prior to arrival and arrived exactly at the appointed time. He also described what he was doing and showed me how the products were not airborne or accessible in anyway to my cat. I felt completely reassured that we would not be exposed to anything and we didn't have any issues. We live in an older building that has had ongoing construction so our roach problem was pretty bad. There was a significant reduction within a few days and as described there were some stragglers as the days went on. It has been 2 months and we no longer have a problem. I would highly recommend Green Earth and would use them again if needed.

I was extremely pleased and impressed with this company's knowledge, professionalism and even empathy during a time when I had potential pest concerns. Kery was particularly helpful in talking to me about my concerns. Luckily, I did not need to have any services performed but will definitely use Green Earth should I have issues in the future. The fact that Kery did not push his service upon is a great testament to the honesty and integrity of this company. I am thankful for the peace of mind that Green Earth was able to provide me. We have three small children and two cats. Although my landlord provides an exterminator, we were wary that the chemicals that they use might be unhealthy for children, or animals, and maybe even adults. So, after a few phone calls and myriad questions, we decided to go with Green Earth Pest Control. I was not present for the first visit this summer, but my husband was. He told me they were punctual, thorough, answered all questions, were neat, and courteous. Today, they came back for a followup that was included in the package we agreed on over the summer. Ronnie called me about a half an hour before he showed up at the house. My window was 9a-2p and he came at 9a. He new all the places our roach families like to live and hide in and applied the bait carefully and neatly. He answered all my questions and also advised me to get rid of any paper bags that I didn't need since the roaches dine on the glue that holds the bag together. Ronnie informed me as to how the process works with the bait and the insect growth regulators. He was patient, neat and also asked me if there were any other spots of concern. Two months ago, I was scared to go into my kitchen at night and turn on the light. I'd probably see 20-30 roaches around/in my sink. Lately, I might find three. We decided to go with the follow up because we'd seen a few here and there and some small ones. So, as anticipated we opted for the follow up. Given the reduction between the first treatment and now, I'm hoping they are gone for a while. Our old building is undergoing a lot of construction on lower floors and so the roaches like to find new homes. Ronnie pointed out some places where there were breeches between some incoming pipes or small spaces between the floor and the wall where I could put some steel wool and caulking to reduce the points of entry and he also pointed out an electrical outlet behind our couch that needed a plate (and that it too could help). I was very happy also with the service I received when I called on the phone and had questions in the past. The amount of patience they had was amazing. I also needed to reschedule this week and they seemed happy to be able to accommodate my request. I am so very happy that we found and chose this company.

They are timely professional, considerate, and do a similar or better job than other companies we have hired in the past .

From the initial phone call, through the day Jack, the calm and professional Jack Russell Terrier, came to inspect, and the two treatment sessions, all representatives of Green Earth were the best. Over the phone, via email and in person - always professional, always understanding, prompt, efficient and thorough. One definitely goes through a bedbug paranoia and dealing with professionals who have seen it all before and who can remind you that there's life after these pests is pure medicine for stress-reduction. I highly recommend them and, while I hope I never need their services again (though Jack is welcome anytime), I'll know where to turn to should the need arise.

We have Green Earth treat out house monthly for rats and other pests. They are very courteous, prompt, and professional. They do a great job at getting rid of unwanted vermin. They are responsive and anticipate our needs. I highly recommend them!

I was very happy with them. They were very thorough, and didn't try to oversell any of their products. I had called them for silver fish, and they said they didn't need to come out because there was nothing that could be done about that. The price didn't seem outrageous to me.

They're on time and they're very polite. They're professional and they really took care of my home. I've used them three or four times. I just liked how they worked and the things they suggested. In the Fall whenever there's construction, we have mice. They've been very good about keeping them out and that's why I liked them.
