Green Earth sent a very polite and professional exterminator to my home to help with an ant problem I was having. He took the time to explain everything, and took care of the problem. There was no questions in honoring the angie's list 15% discount. I plan to use them again.

A very pleasant man came in to my eight-office suite to address the mouse infestation I'd been suffering, largely due to extensive construction in the rest of my office building. He explained to me that there were two ways to go: placement of traps and poison, followed by monthly checks, or "eradication," which involves finding all the holes the mice are getting through and stopping them up, along with a poison in the walls behind the openings. (I think i've got that right!) Although the second option was more expensive up front, I went with it for two reasons: I wanted them gone NOW (and there was a limited guarantee) , and the more extensive treatment was, over the whole year, actually less expensive. The work was conducted quickly and with minor inconvenience to my tenants. No one in my suite has seen a mouse since. THANK YOU Green Earth!

They had been out before, so when they came back when there was still a problem they gave us a discount. We call them because of the green. We thought it would be more environmentally friendly, but I'm not sure if they are different from other companies.

I should have known I had mice when my cats started staring at the walls and trying to get behind the furniture, but I didn't see anything for several months until for whatever reason it got worse and I saw (and completely freaked out over) two mice in one day. Starting that night I also started to hear scratching in the walls and my cats went on 24-hour stakeout duty in the hallway outside my bathroom, where I had found and sealed a little hole in the bottom of the wall. After almost a week of hiding in my bedroom jumping at every movement, I decided to salvage my sanity and call an exterminator. I chose Green Earth based on its reviews here and because it was clear they do a lot of work in individual apartments and houses. Josh Alpert answered the phone and was very friendly, informative, and helpful. He completely described the available services and the prices. I chose the most complete service, the rodent exclusion, because it will hopefully prevent problems in the future. We discussed my unwillingness to use glue traps (cruel) and open snap traps (gruesome), and he reassured me they would take all necessary precautions to keep my cats safe from the poisons. We scheduled an appointment for two days from then, with a three hour window from 8:00 to 11:00 am. I gave a $50.00 credit card deposit over the phone. Josh followed up with an email with attachments detailing the work, the charges, and every chemical product they planned to use in my home. Josh also called the evening before the appointment to confirm. The next morning Peter Stieglmayr, the pest control technician who did the actual work, called me at 7:30 am to tell me he was on the way and should be there in half an hour. He arrived promptly at 8:00 am with his little cart of equipment, and was kind enough not to laugh at the plastic sheeting I had stretched in front of the living room and front door to keep the mouse I'd seen in the living room from getting into the rest of the apartment. He immediately got down to work and spent the next three hours and 15 minutes going over the base of every wall and problem spots like pipes and kitchen cabinets, moving appliances and furniture, and stuffing up gaps, holes, and cracks with strips of steel shavings (like steel wool) and with silicone caulk and foam sealant. He found a couple of mouse droppings by a hole in my living room and sealed that up. It would have taken less time if I'd prepared the apartment the way Josh's email had advised by emptying closets and cabinets and moving furniture away from the walls, but I was happy to pay for an extra hour or so in order to avoid having my nerves destroyed by expecting a mouse to come flying out at me from some dark corner or from behind the bookcase or sofa. Peter was also very friendly and professional, and explained what he was doing and answered my questions. He opened up the sofabed for me when I asked, to make sure no mice were in there. We discussed traps, and since he had only the open snap traps I decided to stick with my own. (Got covered snap traps and covered electrocution mouse traps online: they kill quickly and are both safe for the cats and safer for my sanity since they're no-see no-touch.) Peter finished up with drilling a few holes where the mice were active inside the walls and injecting rodent poison tracking powder. While I dislike using poison, inside the walls mice multiply and cause destruction and there's no practical alternative. Immediately after I signed off and Peter left, Josh emailed me a final receipt and a summary of what to expect in the next few weeks. While I'm hoping not to see or trap any mice, it was fair warning that one or more may still be in the apartment despite the very complete search and also that they may die inside the walls and smell for a while. Starting two weeks from the service, Green Earth provides a 90-day warranty so they will come back at no charge if I get more mice during that time. I consider the price of $375 for the first two hours and $125/hour over that time to be very fair and reasonable for skilled labor and materials. (The total cost I entered includes tax and discount.) Overtime charges could be avoided or minimized by preparing in advance as I said above. The Angie's List discount for new customers was a nice bonus. Having mice is a pretty horrible experience made even worse by my sadness at having to kill them or have them killed, but Green Earth has gone a long way towards making it bearable.

I had a mice problem and called Green Earth Pest Control. I spoke with with Josh the owner and he arranged an appointment for the next day. The following morning, the technician, Peter, called to tell me he was on his way. He found the problem - a hole behind a kitchen cabinet - and sealed it up. He cleaned up the droppings and put down bait behind the kitchen appliances. He also checked to make sure there weren't any other points of entry for the mice throughout my apartment. He was very professional and extremely nice. I would not hesitate to use the company again and recommend them.

They responded promptly to my phone calls and e-mails. Peter arrived on time and did a thorough job of examining our home inside and out and placing treatments in areas that are not accessible to our puppy. He provided professional and friendly service. Update: Mouse-free for 3 months, so far. Terrific job!

Various alternatives and costs were clearly explained. Evaluators and technician were courteous and punctual. Josh was was very responsive to my telephone calls and e mails and coordinated process very efficiently.

I am uber grateful for Green Earth's help. I had a very minor in Green Earths' eye, major in my eyes mouse issue in my home. Green Earth scheduled my appointment for soon after I called. At appointment, they spent 6 hours checking for access into all 4 floors of my home, then foam sealed, stuffed, caulked, cemented any and every breach. They drilled holes in the wall and injected tracking powder behind them. To complete the job they put down bait, poison and sticky paper to catch anything hanging about. On Xmas day , 2 weeks after my initial visit, I saw droppings. Green Earth responded to my call the very next day, and came back the very next business day to address the issue. I have not seen anything since. I heart Green Earth! Will definitely use them again but hope I don't have to!

We discovered large roaches in our boiler room. We called Green Earth early in the morning and got an appointment for later that morning. We decided to spary the whole house as a precaution. Joash was a pleasure to deal with. The exterminator arrived on time and was thorough and professional.

I was extremely satisfied with Green Earth and will certainly recommend them and use them again. I called them to check if I had a rodent problem after I found my cat staring intently under the oven and refrigerator for several days in a row. She is a reliable "pest barometer." The exterminator was punctual, called to tell me his ETA, before arrival. He was pleasant and professional and took care to explain what he was doing. He was very thorough - dragging away from the wall the refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. He meticulously stopped up the holes he found. I appreciated the great service all the more because I called Green Earth when another company (non Angie's List) had serviced the apt but not effectively.(My cat was back staring under the oven the next day and I never received a return call form that service.) After Green Earth's visit, my cat is quite disinterested in the kitchen and I am confident the problem is solved. Green Earth has a great communication system providing before and after emails with information on their service abd what to expect. They were spot on with predicting what would happen after they had rodent proofed the apt. I particularly appreciated the explanation of the chemicals and processes they would use as I was concerned about the risk to my cats. Overall, exceptional A+++ service and a great find in the City where reliable service providers are difficult to cull from the vast number of companies with ordinary, downright mediocre, or even incompetent service.

I felt that Josh at headquarters was very responsive and did not try to oversell. We did not feel we had a problem but we had to respond to a City notice. Vinnie came and was very courteous and we agreed on what needed to be done - one poison station.We would definitely use them again.

We had spotted mice in our apartment. We have a small child and a baby, and we both work, so we really wanted a professional to help us deal with this. I called Green Earth, and spoke to Josh - not only was he good at listening to the description of our problem, but he also was very thorough and clear in explaining the different options available to us; including specific differences between the services (and pricing) available , making it much easier for us to make an informed decision. We chose their “Rodent Exclusion option,” and were able to schedule a service appointment for later the same day. Within minutes of our conversation, we received a confirmation email from Josh with additional details, as well as attachments with the labels and information for all products they were going to use. The services included: all rodent entry points throughout the place were treated and sealed (all products used were placed inside the holes before they were sealed, and not in the actual apartment, which was important for us having two little ones around), mouse traps placed, to catch and kill any that may have been already running through the apartment (none, so far, fortunately). The person performing the work was very thorough and everything was left clean afterwards. The pricing for the services was very close to the estimate provided in advance. Within the same day, we received another email explaining in detail the services that were done, as well as some useful information regarding things to expect and what to do. All their work was guaranteed and the terms and conditions were clearly explained before and after the services were performed. We were highly satisfied with the services the company provided, and very impressed with the quality of the information, service, and communications we received during the process.

So far so good. After bad experiences with a couple of other exterminators hired by my landlord (they just laid down poison; the mice inevitably returned after a few days), I paid for services myself. Josh, the owner, was really responsive and informative. The technician was very prompt, polite, and thorough. They talked me through my decisions and potential consequences (including deciding to forgo glue traps) and let me know of any risks of future infestation due to some structural problems in the apartment. Nearly two weeks now and I've been totally mouse free for the first time in several months. I'd highly recommend Green Earth; they are very professional and serious about getting rid of your pests. The one small exception is that some of the steps they take to block mouse entry points, like sealing with concrete or steel wool, will leave your apartment not looking so lovely in places. I'm not sure there's a way around this, except to trim the steel wool and sand and paint over the concrete. Just something to be aware of, and a small price to pay to be mouse-free.

The exterminator could not locate the dead mouse but thought it was somewhere behind the dishwasher. He used an environmentally safe deodorizer throughout the area and recommended I get someone to take out the dishwasher. I got the contractor who installed it to take it out, and they did locate the mouse.

The representatives of the company were very prompt, courteous and extraordinarily professional. They even brought and wore paper booties when entering the apartment. I am very satisfied with the service that the technicians provided and with the attention and involvement I received from the President, Josh Alpert. I would highly recommend Green Earth Pest Control.

Staff was very professional and punctual. Problem with flies was eliminated. Peter was very informative on every level. Staff took special consideration with performing the job in a neat and clean manner. Would definitely use their service in the future. After leaving my name and tel # in the morning, maybe 1hr later, I was called back. Josh was able to schedule the appointment for the same day. The technician arrived on time annd was curtious and professional. He alayed my tenant's concerns about her cat by informing her that the application would not harm pets.

Went well overall. Josh returned my call and email within the hour on Wednesday evening. We discussed the treatment options. Given our need for urgency, we went with the more expensive/ less intrusive option. We gave him our credit card, and he had a technician at our place about 11am ( about 2 hours early) and a bug-sniffing dog by 2 pm (about two hours late) the next day, Thursday. Suburban Pest Control sent two technicians late Friday morning. They spent an hour setting up the generator and heating implements and sealing off the rooms. They were done around 7:30 pm. They cleaned up and left. No bugs so far. I rated the cost a B primarily because it was a lot of money (even after the promotional discount) and I did not have the time to comparison shop. Communications about what is involved in the process could have been a little clearer - felt information came in dribs and drabs - but worked out fine in the end. Appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness.
