Fourth Wall Painting

Chris did a great job. He arrived early, did the work well and efficiently, and charged a fair price. I wish we'd used him when we moved in!

Chris was great - responsive, thorough, easy to deal with, flexible, reasonably priced. The job ended up taking less time and costing less than he originally estimated. He picked up the paint that was needed, and came before hours to make sure that we could meet up and discuss the job.

Went well. Nice guy, did his job. The edges where the ceiling and wall meet weren't perfect, but he said it was due to construction of building.

It all went very well. He was punctual and did a very nice job. He painted the walls of our kid's bedroom in two different colors and with two coats of paint. Everything got done in a day.

First of all, my painter left an hour and a half early. He arrived about 9:15, and left at 3:45, which is 6.5 hours. Before we even met, while texting about the job, he was already asking me to supply things that he should have taken care of himself as a professional, or just had. He asked me to skip the building insurance, so I agreed to make it easier on him, and even found and supplied a step ladder in my building, without which he wouldn't have been able to paint my 17ft walls, which I told him about DAYS in advance, and even sent photos. From the moment he arrived in the morning, he seemed confused and very slow. I work in my home office so I was working at my desk and offered him water or coffee and he asked for water. Then he asked for my wifi password, which I told him was Freedom1981, he proceeded to mistype it into his phone over and over, and kept asking me to spell it for him, which I did, over and over, and he couldn't figure it out that the first letter (F) was a capital, and kept trying to spell Ffreedom1981, and . I wanted to kill myself. As he began painting, he didn't apply any blue tape anywhere, and apparently didn't secure the floor plastic well at all. Because as he painted, paint splatter got ALL OVER all of my white floor trip, and ALL OVER parts of my floor, and ALL OVER my electronics, my printer, my white boards..... He either has the hand stability of someone with Parkinson's (excuse my dark humor), or he basically did an incredibly s***** rush job. After claiming he had finished at 3pm, he instantly beginning to clean his brushes and wrap up to go home (less than 6 hours of my agreed on 8 hr purchase). I proceeded to do a walk around inspection of my apartment and found so many badly painted areas, unpainted areas, areas he got paint on like my door trim, wood floor, furniture, whiteboards, printers... and didn't bother painting over or cleaning, and left painty finger prints on various objects in my apt from moving them with dirty hands, like my printers and small night stands. So I asked him to stay and touch up the bad spots, and clean the paint off my trim and other things. Knowing it was only 3, he agreed, but then went around for only 15 mins, and essentially touched up one or two small areas with missing paint. He did ABSOLUTELY NO CLEANING OF ANYTHING THAT HE GOT PAINT ON. He also did literally NO clean up after himself before leaving, other than his own tools, and left empty paint cans in the center of my living room, didn't throw away the floor plastic but instead just threw it over my couch and left it there, and didn't move any furniture back. After having worked in carpentry and constriction for over 10 years, I have never, in my entire life, seen a worse painter, or experienced a worse finished job. I REFUSE to pay for this, and DEMAND a refund, which I'll have to use on hiring a new painter to touch up all of my ceilings which he didn't cut, my floor trim which he didn't cut and got paint all over, and cleaning people to clean the paint off my floors. Bad bad bad. I took and can supply photos.

He was extremely punctual and efficient. He was able to clean up my home painting project that left the trim and ceiling a mess. He was very helpful in anything I needed to have completed or touched up. I highly recommend him for any project.

Chris is a very nice guy and did a solid job. My only suggestion is to be clear. There was some confusion (not a paperwork guy) and had to come back. That said, he was responsive and met our needs at a reasonable price.

Chris responded promptly after I purchased the service through a special deal. He arrived on time and was pleasant to work with. He did a very nice job and cleaned up very nicely afterwords. Did the work for the price advertised. I recommend Chris and would hire him again if I need more painting done.

Excellent

Chris was good. The service took longer than a day, so although the package I bought was $299, I ended up having to spend another $150 (in addition to paint and supplies), and he had to come back the next day to finish. His work ended up being fine, however once he left I noticed some paint on one of my pillows (that I couldn't get out and ended up having to throw out) and on my headboard and footboard (I was able to get it off with nail polish remover). All in all, with the supplies and service it probably cost about $650 and my apartment is about 490 sq ft. If someone is looking for a good painter at an average price, I'd recommend Fourth Wall.

He was always on time, and stayed long until he was satisfied with his work. Good guy.

Chris was very punctual. He was also very neat. He came prepared to repair the damage on the walls. He was honest and I trusted him in my apartment. He finished within the time he quoted and for the price he quoted. I was very satisfied and plan to use him again.

Painters admitted to the huge scope of worked and got right down to business. Even after one day of their hard labor the difference in the apartment was hard to believe. Cracking and peeling had been repaired and by the end of the second day the apartment was unrecognizable. White and pristine, with absolutely no trace of the condition they had to deal with initially. Other bonus in using this service is that they are insured. I had looked at other services prior and found that none carried insurance.This company does and it made all the difference with the management of the coop allowing the project to go forward,

Chris was responsive and professional. I had a tight deadline to get my apartment repainted. Chris came on the weekend and got the job done

He was helpful and provided guidance for picking paint colors and the paint was layered on smoothly. He was also careful about the molding on my walls. He was polite and friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to paint.

I thought he was very professional and did a very good job. He arrived on time and was easy to work with. I have a small apartment so it's not easy painting when it's filled with furniture. I would recommend him to others and I'll use him again.

I just bought a new apartment and I wanted to paint before I moved in. I found Fourth Wall Painting on Angie's List and I'm so happy that I went with them. I am totally delighted with the outcome. Chris was always on time, professional, neat, and easy to work with. He painted the living room, bedroom, bathroom and hallways, including the inside of the closets and the trimmings. He worked in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. He made some suggestions as to color and type of paint to use, and I love with the results. I would highly recommend Fourth Wall Painting.

Overall, the project went well. The service provider kept to his estimates in terms of the duration of the 2 jobs. The service provider was also responsive in addressing an issues such as touch ups. I was very surprised that the service provider was able to do the jobs by himself as other firms had indicated that this would be at least a 2-man effort. If the opportunity presents itself, I would consider to hire the service provider again for future jobs.

Chris had to prepare one of the rooms by scraping off old glue and patching up the walls. A long tedious job. But nothing phased him.
