FLATIRON CLEANING

After the 'housekeeper"promptly arrived, I asked her to load the dishwasher only to be told that she had never loaded a dishwasher and had no idea how to do it. (She put a few dishes in, basically horizontally, then told me the other dishes wouldn't fit.) I showed her how the dishes were supposed to go (vertically), but she still didn't seem to comprehend that there's a logical, orderly way to load a dishwasher. That didn't matter, however, because before the dishwasher was even half loaded, she announced that she was leaving because I have a cat. When I called the company to tell them what had happened, I was told: (1) even though the woman had been sent to me as a housekeeper, she's actually not a housekeeper (she does their more expensive "heavy cleaning"), and (2) she is allergic to cats. I was shocked, especially as the excuses were given without the slightest hint of an apology. And what kind of excuses are those? Since I'd contracted to have a housekeeper come, what kind of responsible company would send someone who's not a housekeeper and doesn't know how to do housekeeping? Moreover, considering the fact that it is quite common to have a pet cat in an apartment, before sending a cat-allergic employee to an apartment, shouldn't a company ask if there's a cat there? Although I can get by without having my apartment cleaned today, I would be most unhappy if I really need my apartment cleaned, e.g., if I had planned to have a party today. Flatiron proved itself to be completely unreliable, irresponsible,and unsatisfactory. I know it's an established company, but I can't imagine how it's managed to stay in business.

THIS COMPANY IS OKAY. THEY GET THE JOB DONE, AND THE WINDOWS ARE OLD SO YOU CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH WITH THEM. I THINK THAT EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD, AND I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM.

I GOT THIS COMPANY'S NAME FROM A NEIGHBOR. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE AND BONDED. THEY COME ON TIME AND PUSH THEMSELVES TO GET THE JOB DONE. THEY DON'T STAND AROUND AND TALK.

THEY DID NOT DO THAT GREAT OF A JOB. THEY LEFT DUST IN ALL OF MY SHOES IN THE CLOSET. I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THEY DID SHOW UP ON TIME AND COME RIGHT AWAY AFTER I CALLED, BUT I THINK THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB.
