Description of Work: Unbelievably fast, good quality and excellent service. I made an appointment Friday for an evening sales call to my home. At 730pm the sales lady showed up. My wife and I picked a laminate floor and carpet for our living room, den and dining room. We wrote a check that night. At 730am Saturday am the 3 man crew was at my house and started working and completed at 5pm. We love the material , tha installation was perfect and price competitive with two othe quotes we got. Even beat Home Depot prices. We love them!

Description of Work: Horrible! I called them to make an appointment for 3-5 today. Not only did no one show up they did not have the professional courtesy to call. I called twice to find out what was going on and their customer service reps were clueless about what happens. They could not even contact their own people. If this how a company behaves to earn business, god know what they would do when they get the job???? Would never think of hiring them again.

Description of Work: The sales process was quick and easy. The sales person came to our home on our schedule - after work in the evening. He was polite, professional and not the least bit pushy. My only comment is that the carpet selection that we were given to choose from was somewhat limited. Nonetheless, we did manage to find a style and color that we like very much. The installation is well done and has now held up for over one year without any problems.

Description of Work: I didn't even get to the measurement or estimate..... The sales person sent was quite possibly the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered. The conversation began and ended with her basically telling me a decision had to be made today. I was told repeatedly that their company doesn't "just drop off quotes". I explained I am making the decision about color, style, texture, padding etc.... I would just like to discuss the price with my husband when he gets home. I was told no he had to be there because "he may not understand" Inferring that either I'm too ignorant to explain carpeting to him or he is too ignorant to understand............... when did carpets and flooring become rocket science? I was then told in a snide tone "its company policy" Needs less to say I stood up and showed her the door. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!

Description of Work: I made 2 appointments with Empire for carpeting. They cancelled the first appointment 45 minutes before the scheduled time. I rescheduled for a week later. For the second appointment, they didn't bother cancelling; they just stood me up. I called the 800 number and they claimed a message had been left but no message was left. Perhaps they should rename the company Empire Today, Tomorrow, or Whenever...

Terrible.
Description of Work: They never showed up for the free estimate. And wasted our entire morning. The sales rep didn't even have the courtesy to call and tell us that he was running late. We have to call to check on where he was. There are many other carpet installers in the Brooklyn area, and there is no way that I would risk waiting another morning for Empire to show up.
