Great small company to work with. Definitely felt the personal touch. The office staff is really responsive and provide a lot of information. I am very into the details, so it was helpful that they take the time to lay it all out in for of you. My floors look amazing and the baseboards refreshed. I actually didn’t think about the baseboards and was glad that service was recommended. I feel like I live in a New Apartment. Thanks Tomasz and Amanda!! I will definitely refer you to friends.

The folks at Eko Flooring know their stuff. They explained the process clearly and most importantly delivered beautiful floors. My schedule was tight but they made it work before I needed to move in. I highly recommend.

They are responsible, reliable, responsive, efficient, clean and do beautiful work! They refinished my stairs in my townhouse and did an excellent job.

Really well! It ended up taking a lot less time than expected which was great so I could go back to using my kitchen!

They did a very nice job. They came several days. It is not their fault, but there was a little delay.

Not well. Tomasz is charming, but he seems to be trying to maximize more than one thing at once, which is impossible. He appears to be trying to provide employment to fellow Eastern Europeans. I understand this, but his first priority at all times must be the excellence of his men's work. Their skill (ability) and workmanship (commitment to quality in all aspects of the job) vary. Bits of carpet were left in some corners. Stain was spilled on the baseboards, the doors, on the wallpaper outside my apartment (!). Custom wood built-in radiator covers were unnecessarily removed and then put back in place with staples. (!) No attempt was made to fill in the nicks or paint over them. They discovered a four by four section of the floor was underlaid with concrete. The bill was adjusted to cover it, and this was done well. Plastic coverings were comprehensive but inadequately taped, letting dust leak in behind them. His willingness to accept criticism is limited, though he will back off if one stands firm. His "dustless" machine was a beautiful but ancient air cleaner with a very leaky canvas collection bag. The machine and bag were covered with heavy dust when it arrived. There are commercial air cleaners available now. His men were pleasant. One stretch of the hallway floor was left with those cross waves that show that the sander operator was not sufficiently trained to hold the machine steady as he worked. I know this is hard; I've done it myself. Said floor is lit by a window that highlights the waves. Tomasz dismissed the carpet bits and the patches of stain on moldings, etc., telling me that they could be removed with mineral oil. Who among us has that on hand? He does, so why isn't that a part of the job? Last, I just discovered that they had spilled a big drop of coffee on the sanded floor and, instead of wiping it up, applied polyeurethane right over it. It was necessary to do a lot of cleaning up after they finished. This is the worst part. At the start, I made clear that the stain should match that on the two adjacent room floors, a warm dark maple syrup hue as fits with the vintage of the apartment. The stains his men created were many degrees lighter than those two rooms' color, a distinctly lighter yellowish in the foyer and large bedroom. It strikes the eye the moment one comes in the front door. The section of the hallway west of the front door is a different color still, closer to the adjacent living room floor, but not as warm and dark. The three saddles are yet other colors. Thomas was dismissive of my observations about the several colors, but finally agreed to redo the floors so that the stains could be matched, the cost a fraction of the original job. Here's my dilemma. If it couldn't be done right the first time, how can I be confident that it will be done correctly a second time? Floors can only be sanded a few times before the planks become too thin. Can I risk having to have them redone a third time? Two years later: In the end, I decided not to have Eko try again. My buyers will have the floors done as they prefer. I hope Tomasz is doing higher quality work now.

He took a lot of time and really talked to me about the kitchen, oh it was not only for the floor but for new cabinetry in the kitchen and he took a lot of time measuring and talking to me and I had the feeling it was gonna be really high quality you know I really was very impressed.

Upon my request, and to my satisfaction, the inspection was cancelled and payment refunded in full.

Tomas came over in advance to give estimate on the job and to determine what finish was desired. On the day of the job,the workers came over at the time they had scheduled. Toamaz checked in on how the job was going. There was a problem with my couch being moved out of the apartment and it was damaged. Tomaz came over and offered to make restitution. When I told him the cost he deducted it from my total bill. The floors looked beautiful when they were done. There was a follow up call from Tomasz to ask if I was happy with the floor and he also instructed on upkeep.

Tomasz and Eko Flooring are the best! They helped us decide what kind of floor to install, they were patient and professional and real gentlemen and wonderful craftsmen who clearly love wood and providing a beautiful product! Everything was done on time and on budget and the results are really superb! Would not use anyone else!

Tomasz was punctual, listened to our concerns, took notes and measurements, and provided helpful feedback. I appreciated that he addressed my preference for using green-certified products and supplied detailed information. He came across as responsive, knowledgeable and experienced. We decided to go with another contractor due to price, but wanted to provide a review of our positive interaction with him.

Eko Flooring & Woodwork Corporation is top notch. Tomasz and his team did an excellent job! As long as wood floors are around and I am too Eko Flooring will be my #1 choice. I highly recommend them to anyone. Eko came in after a different contractors failed attempt to refinish my floors and they fixed the problem in no time. Very Professional, responsive, reasonable, honest, reliable and nice people in general. I really enjoyed working with these guys! They are stellar! I am a big fan of their work!

Tomasz and crew were amazing. We have continuous wood floors throughout the apartment, a good portion of which was damaged after the building's roof leaked severely in February of 2014. Tomasz helped me make the case with the insurance company by testing the humidity levels of the wood throughout to determine which areas would need replacement vs. just being refinished. He also tested the concrete slab underneath to determine whether it would need to be dried before new flooring could be laid. After having so many issues with leaks in our apartment, I really appreciated his thoroughness. We battled with the insurance company to get a fair settlement for more than a year, and Tomasz was extremely patient throughout, checking in periodically to see if we needed help. Once we were finally ready to start the job, his crew were extremely friendly, diligent, and thorough, and even finished the job ahead of schedule. Our floors look awesome and Tomasz even let me apply the value of an Angie's list coupon I had purchased a couple of years before but never used because of our ongoing troubles. I can't recommend them enough, and will definitely be calling them again if we need any more work on the floors or the stairs.

Tomasz (the person I spoke to) was very helpful in guiding me through what options in repair there were. Given that the floor around this area wasn't in the best shape I opted for a less expensive option. I first contacted him on Friday, sent him some additional pictures of the affected area, he sent his guy out on Monday and in a few hours the floor was repaired. Would use him again for my next flooring job.

Tomasz sanded the floors with dustless machines and applied three coats of non toxic water based mat sealer.

The gentleman was very nice, but the the extent of the work that I needed done was outside of the scope of this deal, so it did not end up working out.

Eko Flooring recently repaired my water damaged wood floors. My floors now appear as if no damage had ever occurred. Eko flooring Owner Tomasz Poznanski & George; the young man who did the work were extremely sensitive to my needs & went the extra mile to see that I was pleased with the result! George who repaired the floors was very skilled/meticulous & completed all my requests with patience! For anyone needing a floor repair; I would recommend Eko Flooring with confidence! Joel B.

Quoted me $1000 to finish my floors 😳 the area I wanted done was less than 200 square feet. I ended up getting quality work done elsewhere, with 3 quotes of polyurethane that I'm extremely happy with and I only paid $300. Not sure what he was smoking that day.

After contacting several contractors about our job, most we unwilling to take on a flooring job as small as ours. But we were desperate - new homeowners who'd pulled up the carpet and found a pretty big project underneath. The owner of Eko did have to put a "floor" on what he'd charge us - in other words, a minimum price for his time even though it wasn't a big job, but it wasn't terrible compared to other options we explored. The workman was friendly and, for the most part, thorough. My one afterthought is that we had discussed having a couple crumbling planks removed and replaced. They did sand down a bit, but I still worry that in the long term they'll need attention. But, his work on the bullnose to the staircase turned out well, and all-in-all the floors look drastically better.

I was not pleased with the service. There was a difference from what Angie's List had said and what the company was saying. I was under the impression that more than one room could be done through the coupon and then Angie's List agreed with the provider as they said it did say that in the print of the coupon. I did have to pay additional for the second room. They did this on an oak floor and it did not have a shine. I requested a middle grade and it was very gritty. Angie's List told me not to talk to Eko and they would get it taken care of. Eko finally came over and redid the work and after that the glue oozed out and I never had them back. Angie's List said they would resolve the problem and it was not resolved and now the glue that popped out has gaps in the flooring. I do not trust Eko as they seem to not know what they are doing with the flooring installation. I am not happy with either side of what happened with this coupon.

The Vanguard Renovation dba Eko Flooring & Woodwork did their job regarding to the scope of work very fast and in a good quality. They have reasonable prices. I didn't have any problems with them. They made a new apartment for me including: - leveling of the floors - installation of sub floor -metal and wood framing -installation of insulation, Sheetrock, on the boards -installation of moldings, baseboards, doors -skim coats ( 5 times) -tiles ( marble, ceramic and granite) installation -Venetian plaster -painting -decorative accent painting. Very recommendable company!!!!

The contractor (Tomasz Poznanski) gave me an estimate in person after phone contact. His references are excellent. He seems honest, responsible and took time evaluating how to best deal with my floors taking my needs and budget into account. I did not know that I could only use a contractor that is part of my landlord's network. This was not the case when I had floors done about 8 years ago or other work done in the apartment. This is not a co-op.

He was meticulous. He removed a badly damaged section of the floor and replaced the wood planks matching them with the original wood. The repair was not noticeable.
