My water heater sprung a leak, and was flooding the basement. I had used Elias previously to fix my heating system, so I called him. Once again, he did a great job. He found me a new very high quality (and long warrantee) hot water heater from a place in Chinatown, for way less than Lowes etc. and Replaced the water heater, took the old one away, cleaned up everything, and did an excellent job on the actual plumbing. Superstars. (note the approximate total cost I listed includes the water heater)

We have only the best to say about Elias, the owner. He is very responsive, punctual, courteous, and highly competent. When we had a sprinkler problem a few weeks after he had fixed our heating system, he recommended another excellent professional to us and was available by phone to help us with another little "hick up" we had with our heating system. We recommend him without reservation.

Consulted on radiator problems. Was extremely professional, sympathetic, knowledgable and responsive. He probably could have made something up and charged me but was very honest that a new radiator would only help slightly and would not be worth the money spent. Highly recommended.

When I called him on the phone, I told him my problems and asked if he could come today and what was the service charge, for simply showing up as the five other companies I called wanted (their range 400-250 since they had no opening for today and it was considered an emergency). But Elias said there is no traveling fee, emergency fee, he said if he does anything it was 125.00 plus parts and we go from there. He was reassuring on the phone as I was a little panicked, because of the two problems.he said he would be there by 2pm but would call me. He arrived by 1pm and was basically finished in 15 minutes (excluding the thermostat as he had to go get one). He brought a partner and both of them were very professional and easily handled my problem, which put me to ease. He made a few suggestions like emptying boiler once a month (just a bucket full), change some pressure valves on my radiators and add a pipe to the relief valve on my water heater since the valve is up hi and Shane the water comes out it could damage the electrical box. He said I could do all of these with no problems. I asked if he would do the pressure valves and he said of course we'll set up another date for at. I have already added the pipe for the water heater and emoting the water in the boiler well I was already doing that ( but not monthly). I would recommended him to ALL!!! He knows what he's doing and he does not seem to be adding things on unneccessarily just to up the price.

Elias was extremely smart and knowledgable in the field of PTAC. He happily told us detailed information about the repair and described the labor and part costs. He also opened up the unit and showed us how to clean it properly to keep our future maintenance costs low. He is very professional and I trust him. Highly recommended.

Elias was very responsive and informative. I did not expect to have to replace valves, but once we discovered a leak (they were 15 years old) we decided to do the work. Elias showed me how to turn the heat off to a set of pipes I didn't know I could do. He also told me I did not have to upgrade my system, which was why I called him originally. I have not yet turned on the heat, but if there is an issue I know he will try to find a way to come by on the day and fix it. Looking forward to seeing if things run/cost more efficient.

I had difficulties with heating my brownstone. The boiler does not get hot enough. Elias was extremely helpful and looked at my whole heating system and discussed it with me. I agree with another reviewer that he is an excellent partner for the DYI homeowner because he is smart and experienced. And he is professional, he gave me estimates and got back to me, etc. The issue with my boiler is not completely figured out, but I have spoken to many boiler experts who gave me much worse advice and service. Elias was not able to completely resolve the issue, but I felt that he tried and was extremely fair and knowledgeable. I will definately use him again.

It was INCREDIBLE!!! Mr. Villanueva was a professional from beginning to end. Our problem begin Sept. 4th when we noticed a leak from the air conditioner. Fast forward to today with the weather forecasted to be hot and humid this weekend and an asthmatic Mother, two things that just do not get along, I was in a scramble. Calling different places since 7:30 in the morning, we got Mr. Villanueva and he offered some advice for free on how to handle the matter. After trying his advice and failing, I called him back and told him that we need his help. Sure enough, he said he would help. He arrived and went straight to it and with in 30 minutes he had taken care of our problem and offered very helpful and much appreciated advice.

I had asked Elias to look at our air conditioning unit. I made an appointment for him to come this Monday afternoon. I explained to him that the contractor who had designed the unit would also be there as the structure is unusual, and I wanted him to be there to explain the various ways that he has tried to fix the unit in the past. I received the following text from him by way of his cancellation: "Nope if you have a different company working on it I'm not coming let deal with it at one point they will figured out what is wrong."

I found Elias thru Angie's, and he is the perfect plumber for me. He respects homeowners that are DIY'ers and quickly figured that out. He does not charge for estimates - very important in my book. He saw I was a DIY'er and suggested I purchase the parts myself - clearly sensitive to the perception that those might be marked up. I had an odd request for him - my brownstone was lacking zone control valves, and the back of the house, closer to the boiler, was always 5-10 degrees hotter in the winter. He is very knowledgable about this stuff - not just the parts used, but the theory of hydronic heating system. So we were able to discuss solutions to the issue, and agreed on one - a zone control for the back zone. And he suggested, and explained very clearly, some other enhancements which would be economical to add at the same time (shutoff valves) that would save money on future system work. Also pointed out that I didn't have a low-water shutoff, which meant I could be facing a $4K replacement if there were a leak and the system drained. So, another $100 part, best insurance I ever had. He even spied a badly soldered joint which was leaking every so slightly, which could have turned into a geyser in a couple of years. So we had our plan, and I ordered the parts online. When it came to the day of the job, he was there a bit early, with his assistant. They executed the job very professionally, cleaned up after themselves, got the work done in less than the estimated time, and I had the system back online early afternoon so the tenants had heat that night. Once they wrapped up, he went through all the repairs with me, making sure everything was done. Even gave me some suggestions on some boiler maintenance I could do myself, and a vent opener my erstwhile heating contractor told me I could leave off, that he said could save me a bundle if I replace, which I'm doing this summer. I went back and checked everything about a month later and found no leaks or anything. He did excellent work. I'm not sure I'll have to take advantage of his warrantee or any followup, so I can't evaluate Besco on that. But I couldn't be happier with the job they've done, and already have recommended him to my neighbor.

On my first call to Elias, I described the problem with our A/C and he offered a simple solution over the phone. The problem is fixed and the apartment cool. No charge. Thanks Elias!

Even though he was extremely busy, he made time on the day we contacted him to come to checkout the A/C's. He was very professional and knowledgeable. No issues with him - I wish all my experiences with contractors and servicemen were like this. :)

Well - Elias was really helpful on the phone and when I couldn't get it working over the phone he came and fixed it in person. Knowledgeable and friendly and reasonably priced - would recommend again for sure.

If I could give Elias an A+ in these categories I would. He is the PhD of air conditioning units!!!! I found him on Angie's List after my (now former) AC repair and service people had failed to service or repair my unit in three tries. Frustrated, angry and hot, I called Elias and he diagnosed the problem immediately. I hired him on the spot. He came and fixed the problem, came back when another problem arose, texted and called me in a very conscientious manner and was ethical and professional in his demeanor. He explained every aspect of what had been wrong with my unit in such a knowledgeable way, I could not help but be impressed.....and educated about my HVAC. Bravo!!!

Perhaps the most outstanding thing about Elias was his willingness to help, whether or not I hired him. From my first call to him he said he would always be available to talk to a repair man or advise me what to do. He repeated that when he was at my house. Being a New Yorker, I was stunned. And, mind you, this was all free advice. He told me how much he loved his work and loved helping people. Clearly an outstanding individual as well as an expert in this field. Totally professional Inspires confidence as soon as you meet him. I could not possibly be happier. I would like to nominated him for happiness award and other award. I only wish there were more repair people/contractors like he.

Elias was terrific. He gave me advice for no charge about some other plumbing problems. He was thoughtful, well informed, extremely prompt and responsive. He explained clearly what he thought needed to be done, what was optional, and what might look problematic but we did not have to address it at the time. When I had questions, he was immediately available by cell phone. I feel like I have found someone who I can rely on to help me with whatever heating issues we have.

ELIAS picked me out of ditch again!!! I used his service for furnace before and I had great experience. I was not sure he can help me for water heating system (My pilot light was not working) So I called Thursday morning and he remember my job then 1/2 later he was in my house!!! fixing my problem! Great job! Great price and Great guy! I do recommend Elias!!!

Our boiler wasn't firing on a Saturday while I was out of town, so I called Elias for the first time based on the good reviews on Angie's List. Elias said he was available in about one hour, so I arranged to have someone let him into the building. Once here, he texted me in real-time about what he was finding. We discussed some possible issues and he found that the pressure cut-off was tripped. After re-setting it, the boiler fired up and has been working well since then. Elias deserves high marks for availability and responsiveness!

They were really good. I would use them again. He was able to come out the next day due to the type of problem I had.

Called on Monday morning at 9:10 am, temperature 85 and rising. Besco came 1/2 hour later and did trouble shooting. Arranged to come Tuesday with assistant to see if it could be repaired. Tuesday we decided, after removing AC from sleeve, that it was not worth trying to do repair of Freon and agreed to install as-new aircondtioner Wednesday which they did. Given heat wave, feel very fortunate and satisfied with their work.
