ChemDry of NYC

ChemDry of NYC provided excellent service. They were courteous and did a wonderful job cleaning my carpets . I had left a review last year, but it seems that it never showed up, so I am writing it again today.

They were able to squeeze my office in the day before July 4th, which was very appreciated. They took out a lot of really heavy traffic stains in the treatment rooms and hall way. Its the first time I go with a Chem-Dry system, but I don't think I would go back to steam cleaning because they really brought the carpet back to life. It did take 7-8 hours but they were determined to give this 100% and for that they can't be faulted.

My wife was very happy with the people that came and the quality of the service that they provided...and for that I'm thankful. They arrived on time, and were helpful with moving a couple of last minute things out of the way so they could get to work. My wife mentioned a couple of times that they were very polite and nice. She's happy, so I'm happy...and I'm equally happy with the cleaning work done. We will definitely use ChemDry again if we need to.

We would not recommend them or use them again. They came back at our request for some spots that needed to be done. They didn't do it to the level of satisfaction that we would have expected. It wasn't as clean as we would have liked. It took a very, very long time for it to dry even though it was hot outside. The price was reasonable. It would have been alright if they had done a good job. They came and did the touch up in a reasonable amount of time. We went with them because we had some specific stains. They warned us that they would not come out because they were from shampoo and they didn't come out but they didn't do a good job on even the general dirt.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. I had more cleaning done and paid additionally. They came out pretty quickly after I purchased the deal. The two gentlemen who came seemed polite, competent and there was no problem. They went to work and I worked at home. It took them a bit longer than they expected, but it was fine. The price was very good. I might not use them again in the future, because the end result was provided better by my previous rug cleaner.

The hall carpet turned out great but their work in the bedroom turned out worse than before. The foreman came out and agreed it was unsatisfactory, so he had his guys come back at no additional charge. By the second try, it came out great.

Job well done. Scheduling was an issue; they unilaterally cancelled the first time. However, I was very please with the speed and professionalism of the team that arrived on our second date.

Total NIGHTMARE - avoid at all costs. We had 2 tan canvas couches with a few small spots that we wanted removed. The first time they cleaned them but they did not remove the spots. Tried again and LEFT BEHIND huge purple stains ALL over the couches. Tried to get those out and took the covers for the pillows to do in their facility. They got bleached, and shrunk and the purple stains are still all over the couches, so now the pillow covers don't fit the cushions, they are a different color as the (purple stained) couches and they don't fit the cushions. We took them to court, won, and they haven't paid, so now it's in the hands of city marshals. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

the cleaning did not go well. The walk area required scrubbing, it was not done. 2 dirt stains left on the carpet. The cleaning was not worth the money.

It went fine. The sofa was cleaned in 45 minutes.

They came at the time specified. Did a complete and professional job. Even fixed a Hunter Douglas curtain for me.
