BLAUSTEIN PLUMBING

Blaustein finished the job to our satisfaction with a quick turnaround time, and I would hire them again. A non-profit where I work needed the plumbing hook-up for a new dishwasher. I looked up three plumbers on Angie's List. Blaustein responded right away with info, a quote, and said they could come the next day. One other plumbing company never responded, and a third plumber called me back the next day. Andre and Owen came on time the next day, left briefly to get a part at the hardware store and fixed the machine. Easy breezy. The only problem was a minor miscommunication. The guys didn't know what I had asked for on the phone. They also started to install the dishwasher (although we had pre-paid Sears to come the following day and install). I happened to see them starting to install doing that and could stop them from doing so (and charging us for an install). In all, I would definitely hire them again. I would be sure to be very clear with what we need with the team on-site instead of believing our needs were communicated internally.

Over a Friday and a Monday, had 4 separate telephone conversations with the elderly proprietor. Each time, the same story had to be repeated, all the stats - name, address, phone number - provided again. It was as if we had never spoken before. I did receive one call back but my returned call was never answered. After the 4th conversation, I decided to give up and to move on to another plumber. I fear they may be losing a lot of business leads because of this somewhat inefficient handling of incoming calls, or else they are doing so well they don't want small jobs. I wish them well.

They sent someone right away, but he didn't have the right parts. Service Person #2 had to come a few days later. He didn't have the right part either. So Service Person #3 came a few days after that. They were very nice and professional, but the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Blaustein is really a "big job" plumber; they contract out all the small work (like mine). The quality of the work was good, but it took 2 visits too many to get the problem fixed.

THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT PLUMBING COMPANY. I HAVE USED THEM MANY TIMES IN THE PAST, AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES. THEY ARE EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL.
